Collage is one of those art forms that immediately sets off heated debate about our most fundamental ideas and visceral feelings about the very essence of art itself.
Turn of the century troublemakers Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso began enhancing their paintings with glued on bits of cut out fabric and other materials, thus neatly blurring the line between the art categories of painting and sculpture. They shifted the emphasis or “meaning” of their painted images beyond an attempted interpretation of the painted “text” to thinking about the artists’ “process” – something wholly separate from the paintings themselves.

There were lights hung from the walls of the corridor, making Keith’s progress much easier. He felt better knowing he wouldn’t have to drain his flashlight’s batteries any more than he already had.
It didn’t take Keith long before he came to an intersection and he had to decide on which way to go. He stopped to listen for any sound of chains or Ethan struggling before turning to his right. Ethan roared in frustration and put his hands on the coffee table in front of him. He and Keith had been at odds about what to do since they had seen a commercial for the kids being on Housemates two hours ago. The two friends rarely argued and doing so was hard on both of them, especially for such a long time.
“Maybe I can go talk to the Director and get the kids out of there!”
“No! We’re not taking that risk if we can avoid it! If we’re going to talk to that shitbag then it’s to force him to let them go!”
“Ethan might be right, Keith,” Steve chimed in from across the room, “You remember what kind of man the Director is, and I don’t see him letting the kids go easily.”
