Quick concept for the comic... As most of y'all know, Angel is really Reala, but I'll say it again. And the lady is Leyna, Angel's trainer and a trapeze artist. I mainly did this for her colors.

This print was done earlier in the week and I released it at Las Pegasus Unicon since all four voice actors for the princesses are attending. I've already sold out so I figured I'd post it.
These pretty pony princesses may be pretty pony princesses, but that doesn't mean they are at all weak.. that's why I adore them

Can you IMAGINE how hard it must be to put your hair up,er, mane up when you have HOOVES? I can only IMAGINE how pissed Applejack would get if Dashie flew by and just went EEYOINK! Applejack would have to find a unicorn to work their magic on her hair again xD

This is an old shading-practice drawing I did a while back of Princess Luna. I like how the shading came out overall, but I'm still not a fan of the pose.

Another old MLP drawing of mine, this time of a speedpainting of Chrysalis. I don't do MLP art a lot, but ponies are rather fun to draw. I like how the lighting came out in this one.

Wow, did this ever get away from me. And my poor discount computer, trying to handle six or seven layers at that size. It was not happy with me.

I kinda designed this like it was a storybook illustration, perhaps an illumination painted on leather or parchment. Save for the final pair of Luna and Celestia in the foreground, who are demonstrating their vast, cosmic powers by casually stepping into the painting.

And there's some headcanon here too, or is it wishful thinking? As with many of us, "Magical Mystery Cure" burst all my alicorn theories like big, pastel-colored, pony-shaped balloons. So I latched onto our new worldbuilding tidbit, that alicorns were once ordinary ponies. It occurred to me that there was a G1 pony who was white with pink hair and had a solar name: Sundance. I love the idea that Celestia used to be an earth pony (it seems wrong to restrict ascension to unicorns), though this does hinge on ponies being able to change cutie marks.

Anyway, it seems I still have a long way to go with using color and arranging elements in a picture, but hey, it was fun.

For as fast as I did this, I think it turned out pretty good. Still getting the hang of digital watercolor.

An image that occurred to me today. More for drama than anything. Probably a more dramatic way that Luna could bring on the night.

Inspiration includes the many, many images of the night sky that I have seen on Astronomy Picture of the Day (apod.nasa.gov).

In which Harmony does its thing.

An attempt to suggest the sheer awesomeness that is redemption, and the cleansing of the soul. Pain is part of it. We joke about the Orbital Friendship Cannon, but y'know? It gets into my heart, the theme of redemption, the powerful, awful cleansing, the kind of pain you'll face because not facing it is worse.

And I stayed up way too late finishing this.

I loved this concept. I HAD to draw something with it. I just absolutely loved the idea of Luna helping calm other ponies' nightmares especially since she was once the biggest nightmare herself once upon a time. This episode gave me SO much more respect for the Princess of the Night.

Overall I'm super proud of this. The fire and sun came out cool, and the hair came out really pretty. Even though it took me ages to do the flats and color the lineart for. The lighting was a ton of fun to do as well.


I kind of have this head canon that Celestia special talent isn't the sun. She IS the sun, like the sun in a physical form. She can't really handle stuff herself because if she dies, that's gonna put out the sun and that's bad for everyone. This is also why she's long lived, it takes a VERY long time for the sun to burn out.
