This one if for ~mutequacky and ~AlienDragonLover. :D

Started as a render test of the mesh, which was a test of the object output generator I added to this project. This object contains 12.3 million (quad) polygons. :faint:

Overall construct is a quaternion Julia fractal (again ) and then a level 3 Menger sponge (probably easier to see in the full image).

Rendering was done with my own software render. Both the ground and fractal have Fresnel effect and some subsurface scattering, the ground also contains a light emitting substance. The sun is near the horizon and a bit towards to the camera to cast some light along the sides of the object.

Enjoy. :)

Edit:

*In a Keanu Reeves voice* Woah. A DD?! :omg:

A huuuge thank you to *PutYourBraveFaceOn and ^SaTaNiA. :glomp:

And thank you in advance for comments and favourites.

If you have not already seen them, *PutYourBraveFaceOn has several worthwhile projects like (for instance) the Think about it.

Featured here by #ForeverArtGroup, a ton of great art there so check the journal and group out. :D

Apo7x

Triangle mountain and dynes makes feeling of Journey.

Also thinking making bag of it, pattern color turns into blue, so it would make nice change for other side of bag.
I will be rendering this bigger and better quality someday, if I get better pc >.< Mine almost melted when trying to render in printing quality.

Edit: Rendered it in 10k and it looks awesome. Definitely going to make tote bag soon as I get this printed.

Hmm... not sure which category to place this in, or whether to name it "Ink" or something to do with smoke.
This one was fun! I finally have a powerful-enough computer to simulate something like this.
Not sure how many particles it was... but well over 75 million. I think.
Weirdly enough, I have trouble lighting things properly with Krakatoa. However, post-work generally takes care of the fiddly bits.
In case you're wondering, the original particles were brown.

As always, just note me and I'll send you the full rez wallpaper. Remember, personal use only. No reuploading or using for anything but a desktop wallpaper without my expressed permission.

So! What do you guys think? Does it seem fairly realistic to you?

Tools: Max/FumeFX/Krakatoa/AE
FumeFX Sim time: 1 hour
Krakatoa Partitioning sim time: overnight? Not sure how long it took. 6 hours or so...
Krakatoa Rendering time: 20 minutes

Feedback, anyone?

Initially, the chaotic underworld was similar to the desert of the world above.  As you kept exploring further into the depths of the earth, the sand and scrubby bushes were replaced by red rock and unrelenting cascades of lava.  Questions remained in your mind -  why would one traverse this hellish landscape, knowing how taxing the environment was, as well as the dangers of creatures further ahead...

Based on LadyIvyoftheWood's work, ACP 1 In The Beginning.  This was originally going to be the ACP 2--and was originally titled Incunabula--before I created another version of Incunabula (ACP 2) and uploaded it instead.  Nonetheless, I felt this was still worth sharing.  :)

An Apophysis 7x fractal.  As with all my fractals, I highly recommend you zoom in for the best viewing experience.

Who dares to intervene in an engagement of such scale?  And who will emerge victorious, or will it merely be a Pyrrhic victory?

If I am not allowed to upload this, speak now or forever hold your pieces peace.

FYeah Gallifreyan released a working image of the Doctor's "confession dial" (what Missy called it, however she could be telling porkies) so I decided to do a black and white image for reference. I also allow other Whovians to download it as other official Doctor Who symbols have been made into resources with no legal action taken at all. (The Seal of Rassilon etc.) I think this will be fine as long as I don't make any money from it.

Original image and Doctor Who belong to the BBC.
