Triangle mountain and dynes makes feeling of Journey.
Also thinking making bag of it, pattern color turns into blue, so it would make nice change for other side of bag. I will be rendering this bigger and better quality someday, if I get better pc >.< Mine almost melted when trying to render in printing quality.
Edit: Rendered it in 10k and it looks awesome. Definitely going to make tote bag soon as I get this printed. Edit: Tote bag version: [link]
Hmm... not sure which category to place this in, or whether to name it "Ink" or something to do with smoke. This one was fun! I finally have a powerful-enough computer to simulate something like this. Not sure how many particles it was... but well over 75 million. I think. Weirdly enough, I have trouble lighting things properly with Krakatoa. However, post-work generally takes care of the fiddly bits. In case you're wondering, the original particles were brown.
As always, just note me and I'll send you the full rez wallpaper. Remember, personal use only. No reuploading or using for anything but a desktop wallpaper without my expressed permission.
So! What do you guys think? Does it seem fairly realistic to you?
Tools: Max/FumeFX/Krakatoa/AE FumeFX Sim time: 1 hour Krakatoa Partitioning sim time: overnight? Not sure how long it took. 6 hours or so... Krakatoa Rendering time: 20 minutes
Started as a render test of the mesh, which was a test of the object output generator I added to this project. This object contains 12.3 million (quad) polygons.
Overall construct is a quaternion Julia fractal (again ) and then a level 3 Menger sponge (probably easier to see in the full image).
Rendering was done with my own software render. Both the ground and fractal have Fresnel effect and some subsurface scattering, the ground also contains a light emitting substance. The sun is near the horizon and a bit towards to the camera to cast some light along the sides of the object.
Grenth is the god of darkness, ice, and death. Originally a half-god, Grenth was the child of Dwayna and a mortal sculptor and the first god born of Tyria, with domain over mortality and judgment and called the "Prince of Ice and Sorrow." To Orrians, Grenth was the god of death and judgment, and the patron of strict ethics. Grenth ascended to godhood with the aid of the Seven Reapers by supplanting the previous god of death, Dhuum, in Orr and sealing him behind the enchanted doors of the Hall of Judgement. Grenth then shattered Dhuum's tower inthe Underworld, creating the Chaos Planes. He took his place among the gods in the presence of his mother, in the spot where his father had fallen. As a god, he is attributed to the judgment of the dead, vengeance, and destruction alongside darkness, ice, and death. From: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Grent…
