I had oral surgery this week, so I've been couch-ridden for the past couple days, doing some sleeping and healing, and playing some Xbox. And we all know that Xbox leads to Skyrim, and Skyrim leads to fan art.
This is my current character, sporting her Nightingale outfit. I retired my original guy and decided to start over, taking a less warrior-y and more thieves-y path. Traded in the axes for archery. Anyway, I could endlessly geek out about it, because it's still my favorite game (even one year after it came out... and there's new stuff coming next month! [link] ), but I'll just stop right there.
My mouth is healing up and I should be back to 100% this weekend, which means back to freelance, commissions and BLADE RAIDERS all next week. Thanks for your patience, everyone!
And now I've done nothing but play Skyrim all this week. (well I bought it 2 days ago)
So this is my char. He is an Argonian. I'm rather fond of the double hand swords, I got a big Enchanted one I kill dragons with, though typically I have fire/Sword equipt, since the big sword basically takes up everything. My guy is a very brutal knight like Warrior, but he is also a skilled thief, for no real purpose other than he gets to exercise his stealthiness. He looks all black, but he is actually a really dark pale turquoise-grey, and he like changes colors in different biomes and lighting. He's also got like orange tints and stripes aswell.
I think I've played for about 19 hours so far, and I'm almost level 17? Something like that. This game is way more fun than I thought it would be, like I played Oblivion and liked it, but I didn't make it very far, since I typically suck at video games. But I've done rather well in Skyrim, I'm on normal mode and seem to be progressing fast. Already killed like 5 dragons, cleared lord knows how many areas, and joined the Dark Brotherhood. Though the Dark Brotherhood doesn't really suit my guy, I'll keep him there for the missions, but I honestly don't wear the gear or anything.
But yeah, just a quick pic to show you guys my Skyrim character so far. This pic is soooooooooo messy, probably because I wanted to get back to playing! I may do a not-messy pic later when my characters more badass.
Though I must say, my dudes pretty legit.
P.S. The dude who voiced Kovu from TLK2 and Haku in Spirited away does like half the voices in this game. XD
I ALLOW FAN ART TO BE REPOSTED ON BLOGS | SITES | FORUMS | ETC. AS LONG AS YOU CREDIT FOR THE DRAWING AND/OR LINK BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DRAWING OR MY DEVIANTART FRONT PAGE.

SPEEDPAINT VIDEO OF THE DRAWING PROCESS ! Trying to fix stuff right now if possible, working hard to get it all rendered all over again in one day for you guys ! xD Some parts were terribly blurred I noticed, so it's in the remake (; I'll give a heads-upp if it's online ! www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQFXW3…
UPDATE I'm terribly sorry for spamming you guys your inbox with the update ;-; *hides* Finally managed to fix the trouble with the recordings... wtf I don't know what went wrong with the first render. I re-rendered the whole video over again for you guys... And I simply don't want all the recorded material to go to waste T_T Well that was 14 bloody hours of video rendering for me for these past two days... I hate that damned recorder... really I hope it is helpful in a way for all of you and shows the steps I've taken for this one, I hope it does as the rendering almost killed my Sony Vegas Pro T_T
Pff it's done.. ..
I really wanted to draw something for this game... I simply love the mythology in it and Alduin must be one of the most awesome dragon characters I know. I simply doodled a random dragon at first but it started to look a lot like Alduin so I scanned it in and turned it into a fan piece for Skyrim (; I also got inspired after listening to Maluka's version of the Skyrim songs, if you don't know about them yet, go listen (: And maybe I'm just trying to defend my title as varied artist, lol
I also wanted to see how far I could go and push myself to some limits. It also keeps me from going lazy, just like that last drawing I submitted of the Temple Of Time for the Zelda series. Again I began with only the values... simply to train myself a bit with light and such. 80% of the time spend of the drawing went into the shapes and rendering them x,D I can tell I won't be doing this too often though.
I improvised a bit on Alduin's design. I used multiple references where his design slightly differed from reference to reference, I decided to mix some elements and also throw in some of my own imagination for some parts (;
I don't really like having a housecarl in my homes in skyrim, which is why i usually just try to become thane of windhelm and well whiterun but i don't really have a choice for that one. But i don't mind lydia in breezehome. She's cool. :I
'Aronansa recognized Dragonsreach, the residence of Jarl Balgruuf the Greater that would tower over all the other buildings in the city. All that she wanted to do was to earn a few Septims by bringing a delivery from the blacksmith to the Jarl’s steward. If she had known that it would result in her getting drafted to fight off a dragon; she would have preferably robbed the Jarl’s kids of their pocket money to get to Riften!' ~ From Aronansa chapter 022
This was one of the first concepts I made getting Mines of Moria off the ground.
I don't have as much experience doing environments as I do characters so I learned a lot from doing these early projections of key areas. I actually intended this doorway and the bridge inside this natural cave to be a unique POI, like a special place devoted to all the past Dwarven kings with all their portraits carved into stone. Dwarves had a huge respect for the natural formation of stonework, so art like buddhist relief sculptures were a big influence on this idea.
They liked the motif so much they just spammed it everywhere so all the doors in Moria have a dwarf head above it. It's kinda creepy, but I guess that's the point.

FOR SALE: Rainbow Power Rarity Plush
Rarity is based on the pre-finale rainbow power vectors. (none of that 2 tail business eww)
Rarar is made from snow, purple, mauve, jewel, sky and sunshine minky. Her legs, horn etc were airbrushed with fabric paint and are still sublimely soft to the touch.
Her eyes were embroidered with a Brother Innovis 750D embroidery machine, Madiera Rayon embroidery thread, and Bernina V6 embroidery software. The eyes were designed and digitised by me. Her pattern was also designed by me. Her hooves contain poly pellets so she can stand well on her own. She is 17 inches to the top of her head. She has flat hooves and 3d sculpted ears. She has NO wire in her whatsoever, so she is extra cuddly. She didn't particularly need it, so I figured why not go full wireless for all those out there who prefer it. Her hair diamonds are made from appliqued angelina fiber that sparkles/shimmers brilliantly in the light. Trust me this stuff is stunning in person.
Please do not ask for the pattern, under no circumstance will I be giving it out.
The third (and last to be available for sale) in my rainbow power series (planning to make Pinky for myself later on). Rarity is based on the pre-finale vectors, which I think are far more appealing than the 2 tail 3 maned freak Rarity design in the finale. But that's just me and I'm biased as heck. I hope you enjoy her!
Idk why I love making Rarity so much. I always seem to make her when something exiting comes out. New Rarar eyes btw! I really love these ones and will probably use them for my own Rarity when I make her.
PLEASE zoom in to check out her details!
Thanks to for allowing me to be inspired by her Rarity forelock design. Go check her awesome stuff out.

The Base : 1983 Nissan 300ZX Z31 The Project : Super Silhouette / Street Legal / Street Racer 80s !
The return of the street legal super silhouettes !! This time, I've worked on a classic 83' Nissan 300ZX. This is probably the most badass Z31 on earth, with this monster widebodykit (Super Silhouette/Gr5 Style). You can see a lot of specific parts, like front face, hood, air intakes, spoilers, headlights, interior, etc. This is a pure 80's killer street racer! Enjoy!
Here is a full-sized version of the tavern from the middle panel of page 861. This digital painting took me the better part of a day and a half, not counting time spent roughing out the concept sketches. I've always loved colorful fantasy landscapes. Sweeping images of places that can pull you into a different world. And while these backgrounds can sometimes make the page take a lot longer to draw, it's a great way to practice. And that's really what Twokinds is all about - a canvas for me to continually attempt to improve my art.
And while I might not always be successful, and I'll probably never be an AMAZING painter, it's fun to do. And I hope you find it fun to look at!
...Seriously, though. Proooobably shouldn't invest so much time into one little panel next time.
I never knew that painting something like this could be so therapeutic. I went through a huge scale of emotions while drawing this and now I'm feeling somewhat content. Must be the magic of painting... _______________________
It's been a while since I've done an action shot, so here is one for you all! I've always loved sequences in movies and games where one guy just blows away an entire mob in shot, so consider this a kind of ode to those awesome moments.
