Story After the two dobermans, it was Haan's turn. Those two had performed amazingly, and I was worried Haan wouldn't be able to match them. Even though Haan is a very obedient dog, he isn't the one to do the commands to the most gracefully when he's tired. But it went well. He did what he was commanded to to the best of his abilities. But there's no doubt he wasn't in the proper mood for obedience after the long drive to sweden and the schutzhund trial right afterwards, in addition to this one.
After the long day, he just curled up next to Lea, and Anna. Not bothering to be the casanova he was earlier that day.
Even though his obedience trial wasn't flawless, he did a great job, and we are hoping for the best.
Hi there, sorry, for the loooong break here on DA. I managed to restore an artwork that I presented with Meduzarts at the Adapt Montreal in 2008. I had it laying around since then and recently decided to brush it up a bit. It's a matte painting based on a 3d render, where I used CyGen to generate the destroyed buildings. I got tons of help from Julien Chabot, who I'm happy to credit here for his awesome talent! I thought the subject fits at the moment as the whole world is watching what's going to happen next in Northern Korea :- Lets hope for all of us that those kind of images remain in the fantasy category ...
software used: cygen (custom built plugin), Maya, Mental Ray and Photoshop. Let me know what you think, cheers, -dan
Even if Shere Khan is Hindi for "King Tiger", his original birth name, Lungri, could be translated as "The Lame One". If my memory serves me right, the great and menacing tiger was born with a crippled leg, which prevented him from hunting wild animals of the jungle, as they were too quick for him to catch. He started to prey upon villagers' cattle instead and eventually became a man-eater.
It seems that this disability of his is often overlooked, but I think it really adds a lot to this character and gives a reasonable explanation to his habits. Before I read the books I always thought Shere Khan ate humans and their domesticated animals simply because he was the villain of the story, now I know it's partially because he doesn't have a choice. It's actually quite tragic if you think about it.
I am proud to reveal this large marker drawing completed with help from my new Winsor & Newton Pigment markers. Thank you Winsor & Newton for sending me these I love the blending capabilities and the color is great It was truly such a treat to work on this design.
A little while ago my beloved Lorien was away for a week visiting with family. While I missed him terribly, the time alone swept away the years and took me back to where we first stood to face each other. Whether it was on a whim or not, one day as many years ago now, he sent me a note on Deviantart. In it, he introduced me to the most clandestine place in his heart and I fell in love with the story and all the souls that populated the world that he had been building. Little did I know then that our road ahead would be fraught with peril, potential dead ends and many a wrong turn. But through it all, we remained friends and maybe even because of the journey itself. But I still most fondly recall the unlikely beginning and while he was away, I took time to revisit the world that we, now together, seek to bring to life.
This painting is a very rough concept of a dream sequence idea I had while he was away in which the protagonist dreams of those things that he has lost from both within and without. My greatest failing in art being overthinking and overdetailing, I aimed to keep the painting loose leaving the sketch lines visible. The wondrous sky is borrowed from NASA. The concept doesn't get near to what I imagined but it is as good a starting point as any!
I did some poking around on Lioden for the first time in a while. Remade my lion to have a lilac base since I'm pretty partial to them. This is the result. It's been so long since I gave big cats a try!
NOTE: My lioden accounts are Hlaorith (1132) and Hlaorab (13024), but if you'd like to track my pages, please bookmark. Don't friend request! I prefer to keep my friend list tidy and only add people I talk to. Sorry about that.
Here's an updated version of the last photo I made. A fellow Deviant pointed out something that was off. Really do not know how I missed it. There was a problem around the rear of the engines. Anyways, here's an updated version with the problem fixed. Also changed the lighting a tad. Hope you guys like this one!
Thought I would make a Battlestar pic. This is a great model by Backstept. One of my favorite designs! A different approach on the battlestar layout. It is not a big as the Galactica. Anyways, hope you guys like it!
The War escort, HSS Centurio is the backbone of the interplanetary fleet advance in not so distant future. Built after the invention of the second generation warp drive engines that provides more accurate and much safer interstellar travel. These warship can blast through the fortified military blockage with ease by its powerful shield and mighty neutron cannon. It also has the hangar that can support numerous of small to medium fighter ships inside. Due to the very expensive and complexity of manufactures so far only one made into production. However, with just a single population, a Centurio Class can strike fear deeply into the heart of the enemies by only its presence.
I know this is not really my kind of stuff, but its been pretty fun lately studying and experimenting, so pardon for mistakes. Anyway, hope you like!
*Getting my first DD by something that I rarely do is kinda weird and makes me awkward, but thanks for all the support friends, it means a lot!
Something I made for a very dear person I know offline, who I care about a great deal. Her birthday was yesterday, but I didn't upload it here because I'm lazy, lol. Her favorite ponies are Fluttershy and Pinkie, so I made this. I've yet to hear what she thinks, but I hope she likes it. ^^
I'm afraid I don't actually have much more to add to this description for once, lol! But yes, I hope you all like this, and I apolgize for not doing anything last week. Kinda a lazy week for me then, lol. Comic will likely be next! Stay awesome, you people! _____________________________________ >>>My Gallery! Click For More Ponies!<<< Art by MLP belongs to Hasbro
The trait of laughter is the most envied. A number of problems can be solved accidentally in the pursuit of a joke. An effort to finding humor in a difficult situation prompts thinking outside the box, looking at it from a different angle, and in a search for a silver lining, an idea springs up so ridiculous it has to work. Laughter hops, skips, and jumps in mysterious ways, whether its from a twitchy tail, ear flop, or a rumble in the gut. But laughter maintains a commendable track record, where the science of observing it can't keep up with the cavalcade of proof in affecting others for the better. Where all other traits have some inference to learning from the past or preparing for the future, laughter exists in the here and now. And right now, it just wants you to smile, smile, smile.
Laughter is a wonderful feeling,
But it's even better when it's shared.
It brings the weight off your shoulders when life gets heavy...
...And with a little giggle at the ghostly it can encourage perseverance.
