Katniss Everdeen. Love her or hate her, it cannot be denied that she is a perfect example of the badass normal. All of her skills, every feat, is something a regular human could duplicate with enough time and training.
The leader of the pack when it comes to books turned to movies heroines, Katniss certainly doesn’t disappoint. Surviving not one, but 2 hunger games, and leading a poorly equipped rebellion against a much larger and technologically advanced force, she’s got some guts. As for weapons, she normally wields a bow and arrow, and has shown she’s fairly proficient with it. I say “fairly” because compared to real expert archers like Legolas and Green Arrow, she looks like a novice. She’s also a survivalist, able to gather food, water, and shelter in most environments.
