Ch 30 Finale
The infirmary was cool and bright with the rays of the mid-day sun. Stein stood in the doorway of a recovery room smiling warmly as he watched two teens sleep. Maka's surgery had been a complete success and now she slept peacefully. Her loyal weapon sat by her side, his hand wrapped around hers and his head resting on her bed as he slept. Soft breathing and snoring filled the air-conditioned atmosphere adding to the peace. Stein was grateful for this momentary still.
Late last night he had been shocked to find Soul battered, soaked through with blood and clutching the body of what he had assumed at first glance to be a very dead Maka standing on the doorstep to his laboratory. To his relief, Maka was alive but only for the time being if something wasn't done immediately. Stein had stabilized her at the lab then called for Nygus and together they had moved her to the Shibusen infirmary which had cleaner operating rooms and recovery rooms.
He smiled at the sleeping pa

Epilogue Beautiful World
Sunlight peeks through the blinds to shine into the previously dark room. Sleeping side by side lie Soul and Maka, their legs entwined beneath the sheet as Maka sleeps curled on her side against Soul. The sheet covers just enough of her body for modesty's sake. Soul lies on his back, arms spread wide with one encasing Maka's shoulders, Maka's hand resting on his abdomen, the sheet falls dangerously low on his hips. Both adults sleep on, their hair tousled from the night's activities Oh, if only someone had the presence of mind to bring a camera before their stillness is broken by the gentle tugging of morning.
The warmth from the light haloed around the sleeping pair manages to stir Maka. Forest green irises are revealed as heavy lids lift to greet the dawn. The searing burn of sunlight causes her to wince at first, but eventually she braves the florescence once more with more acceptable results. Glancing at Soul, she can't hold back t

"Gooood morning, Evelyn!" Soul greeted happily, a gentle, fatherly smile on his face.
Evelyn was already standing up in her crib, smiling at him, her green eyes reminding him of all his past memories and her looks reminding him of his true love.
Soul scooped her out of bed and Evelyn rapped her arms around his neck as he carried her to her drawers, looking for clothes she would wear today.
"Do you remember what today is, Evelyn?" Soul asked, glancing at Evelyn, but her face remained blank. She didn't understand. "Today's your first birthday, Little Miss Birthday Girl!" he chanted in his deep, but cute parenting voice. Evelyn smiled then, still not understanding, but happy.
"For your party we're going to visit Mommy at the hospital with Uncle Kid and BlackStar and Aunt Tsubaki, Liz, and Patty," Soul continued to tell her as she got dressed. She still couldn't do it herself yet, but she tried to help by sloppily putting

Chapter 3 Secrets Unveiled
Maka sucked in her breath. She nodded her head quickly and eventually mustered the words, "Yes Yes!" Soul smiled gently and slipped the beautiful ring onto her finger. They embraced each other and Maka couldn't stop her vision from getting blurry.
On their way home they walked hand-in-hand, shoulders and heads leaning on each other.
Once they got into their apartment and closed the door Maka jumped onto; kissing him passionately as Soul carried her into the bedroom.
The next day Maka couldn't wait for what she had planned. She called everyone up for another dinner party in her apartment like she used to do when they were younger. She was super excited and knew exactly what she was going to cook. She couldn't help keeping her eyes off her ring though. It really was a pretty one. Maka had been in awe when she first saw it. She could hardly believe Soul picked it out on his own.

Chapter 2 A Decision; A Question
The silence between them was deathening. Soul only starred at her; wide-eyes and in shock.
"Wa What did you say?" Soul asked.
"I'm pregnant " Maka confirmed.
"I don't know Ineffective birth control?" she said, getting up and walking into there bedroom to lie down. She didn't want to see Soul's face. He still followed her though.
She had lain down on the bed with her back facing the door. Soul sat down next to her; stroking her back once again.
"What should we do?" she squeaked. She waited for his answer. It took him a long time. Too long. She grew nervous.
"It's your choice. Do whatever you feel is right," he told her coolly.
Maka was taken aback. Now her eyes also grew wide in shock. She sat up and looked him in the face. She placed her arms gently around his torso, snuggling her face deep into his chest.
"Thanks, Soul," she breathed, taking in his musk, almost loosing herself, but she pulled

Tears burned in Maka's eyes. She wasn't sure if she should be happy or sad. She dreaded the thought of revealing the truth to anyone especially him.
She looked up to the bathroom mirror. Tear streaks stained her face. Her eyes were blood shot and she was trembling slightly. Her stomach suddenly churned and she hurled towards the toilet and puked. Once she finished she went back to the sink and splashed water on her face then shrank down to the floor in a fetal position. She placed her hand gently on her abdomen and was deep in thought.
How long has it been since we last ? Two weeks?... Makes sense
She was so scared she could barely contain herself, but somewhere inside, she was warm with happiness.
She knew Soul would be coming home soon. She swiftly stood up, but not without slightly stumbling, then made sure to hide her evidence before she walked out of the bedroom and into Soul's and her own bedroom. She collapsed onto

Once Upon A Time
Fairy tales usually begin once upon a time—a time that need not be identified because the tale, and its meaning, are of a timeless nature. The landscape of a fairy tale is often dreamlike, as if to tell us trying to apply normal logic to the story will only confuse the point that the storyteller is trying to make. Fairy tales usually involve dangerous journeys, often following after or searching for a wayward loved one, and entail a getting lost in the mists of time and space. The climax is almost always the discovery of a heretofore unknown inner store of courage in the face of evil and imminent death. Fairy tales tell our child
