Mortal Kombat 1: A Script OutlineI suppose I should start by explaining what this is.More Like This
As some may already know, I'm a big fan of the original MK timeline, the way the story was before the 2011 reboot, and always wanted to see the story play out consistent to established canon in an actual narrative, a desire which MK9's Story Mode obviously did not fulfill, what with the changed timeline and rushing through all three games in only a few hours.
Over time, as I've worked on the costume redesigns in my gallery, I've come up with story ideas to go with them, and I got inspired to actually write out the story of "my" MK universe, game by game, with the intention of developing the characters, expanding their stories, making sure the tournaments followed an actual logical bracket, even explaining origins and powers and the purposes of all the fighting arenas and crazy little details like that.
I considered doing this as a full fanfic in some form, but it became clear over time that that would be far too time consuming and I'
