Quitting MOCing?I have been thinking about it for the last few months!More Like This
I wasn't really able to produce anything new or anything I'm satisfied with. Even Yevrah was more of an experiment where I tried something new, but it wasn't the usual MOCing which I prefer to do.
Which is why I really thought about leaving back my parts and MOCs.
Until this weekend; I had originally planned to spend the evening with some friends and went home from university for that reason. Sadly it got too late and I wasn't able to meet up with my friends, so I stayed home with nothing to do for the first time in a while.
I grabbed some parts, as always, and tried a bit around. Nothing productive happened for awhile until I thought back to the the last series of MOCs which still had to be completed; the Star Series.
Last time, I tried to create the Kalmah themed Star, but I wasn't really successful and anything I created came out wrong, so I left it unfinished for the most time.
I really never had any idea how to probably start
Noland Rhyder and Sci-Fi ThingsI've been working with~Deadpool7100 on his robot apocalypse, Noland Rhyder story(which as of now has no name)More Like This
I mostly edit minor grammar and serve as a sounding board for ideas and the like, but I like to draw people and scenes from his stories. That's why all the Noland drawings recently, and because I just recently became brave enough to try my hand at human drawings. In addition I've discovered that robots and robotic things are really actually fun to draw (something else I had been avoiding) So now that I've stopped being silly and avoiding these things, I'll probably be posting more of them, and they'll likely be in the noir style I've just found!
This is the new chapter that ~Deadpool7100 just finished.
It is very interesting and a really good read, you should probably start at the beginning though if you haven't read them. Unless you like to start at the end, then by all means go on ahead, I might even recommend it
FAQ and AMASo i have thought about doing a FAQ(frequently asked questions) and a AMA(ask me anything) entry for awhile so i thought it would be fun to mash the two together. feel free to ask me pretty much any questions you want, from scale model tips to my thoughts and ramblings of movies and games(and anything in between)without further ado and in no particular order are some of the questions i get asked alot:More Like This
1. How did you get into Scale modeling?
i built alot as a kid (pretty badly) got out of it as as a teenager and in my mid 20's found a cheap model at a yard sale. been building ever since but only got addicted when i picked up a 1/35 tank almost 2 years ago.
2. whats your preferred paint?
i use testors "Model Masters" enamels for most painting and a mix of acrylics for washes and weathering. throw in a bit of pastel dust(and recently pigments) for mud and other dirty effects.
3.What does kitbash mean?
