Princess Kadysha was born on Lovaria as the firstborn child of her parents. She was the seventh heir in a long line of princesses. Although she was well-cared for by her parents, they and the rest of the royal family longed for a boy.
Kadysha was a precocious child. By the age of two, she could speak clearly and coherently, read and write rather well, and by age five, she could do multiplication and long division. Yet, her parents' longing for a male child made all of Kadysha's achievements go unnoticed. As Kadysha grew up, this became apparent and caused her to detach herself from her parents, something they foolishly and incorrectly attributed to her being female.
When Kadysha was nine years old, her parents gave birth to her brother, Ryan. By this time, Kadysha was used to her parents' disappointment and lack of attention, so it didn't bother her when they lavished on her brother. In fact, she appreciated it, as this allowed her even more time to develop her own skills and talents.
