In Flanders' fields, the poppies blow,
and we who walk among them know
that here men fought, and bravely died
with equal courage, side by side;
the lark has overcome the crow.
We touch the Dead in memory –
embrace them through the century.
The earth enshrines their valiant hearts
in Flanders' fields.
The torch has guttered years ago;
the enemy has been laid low.
And though your names should slowly fade,
your blood a better world has made.
Rest you now where the poppies grow
in Flanders' fields.
Pokemon CreepyPasta - Child "Ah. Another Pokemon game, ready for the winning. For about...the seventh time." For me, Pokemon was just yet another obsession of mine. As the cheerful music of Pokemon Red Rescue team started up, I bounced with excitement. Red Rescue was one of my favorite games! I raced through the quiz, answering honestly, and I ended up with a Skitty once again. Choosing a Totodile, and naming him "Toothy" in honor of my first rescue team, I started up my mission to save Caterpie. Within a few hours, I had already completed the fateful "fugitive" portion of my game, and I was elated to soon be redecorating my base. Although I was eager for that, I decided to slow down and gain a few items of great importance--Oran Berries, Max Elixirs, and Ginseng. I took a few missions off of the bulletin board, though I mostly took them from my mailbox. I accepted all of them, save three. One was an E mission, with no real payoff, one was just plain boring, and the last one was oneMore Like This
WingedMiracle Ch5: Cleaning Day and Swept Feelings The next morning, Chiaki came down the stairs after awakening to find a fully awake and changed Gabriel at the kitchen, making something that smelled delicious. Samuru was still in pajamas and was sitting at the table, his head on it lazily. Gabriel looked up and waved with a happy look on his face. "Good Morning, Chiaki! Hope you don't mind me using all your stuff! I promise, Samuru will clean up the mess (because he's not helping me cook)...and I really wanted to make breakfast for you!"More Like This
Chiaki tilted her head, expressing that he didn't have to really, and then gave a lovely, cheerful smile. "Good morning to both of you! And thank you very much."
With this, Gabriel looked at her with wide eyes, and beamed. "There you go! We finally got you to smile! Like...really, really smile! It looks nice, Chiaki!"
Chiaki gave a small sort of "Heh," shrugging her shoulders.
"We?" Samuru said in a low tone of voice. "What did I do?" He sounded tired.
Winged Miracle Ch 6: Differences, New LightsA knock came at Chiaki's door, as she was in the middle of sending an e-mail to her sisters. "Chiaki? Are you up?" It said. She could obviously tell now that it was Gabriel.More Like This
"Yeah." She replied, not inviting him to come in, for she wanted to type the e-mail in private.
"You know there's a fair that just opened recently! It seems like fun, so we're wondering if you want to go?"
Chiaki typed another sentence, about to reply after she finished it, but Gabriel spoke again. "Oh yeah, and Samuru's paying, 'cause he did the least cleaning yesterday!" By his tone, she could tell he was pleased with what he said.
"Seems good! When are we leaving?" She asked, as she typed. She was always quite skilled at it.
"Hmm...around 1:30 maybe! Eat the lunch that I made first, though, ok? We can stay as long as you want! Is that ok?"
"Uh...yeah! I'll be out in a sec!" She checked the time on the computer. It was almost 11:30. "Hmmm...I think I'll go take a shower first before we leave." She suggested to he
