"You should tell Eren you like him." Jean said, stuffing his face with food. You almost choked on your own food, before glaring at him.
"It's not as easy as you think." you huffed.
"Or I can tell him?" Jean smirked, letting out a chuckle. You punched his arm, "Not in a million years." He just rubbed where you hit him, pouting.
"What if he doesn't like me?" you asked yourself.
"Who doesn't like you?" You heard a deep voice behind you. Your eyes widen, and you turned to see Eren there smiling.

"Is something wrong?" you asked, looking at his eyes. Eren blushed just as you looked at him.

And in an attempt to catch the falling balls, you inadvertently bumped your forehead on his, sending the box you attempted to save earlier to tumble on the ground, spilling all the contents on the floor.
"Shit, I'm so sorry, Eren."
"Whoa, (f/n), I'm so sorry."
You said at the same time, tangling words and incoherently apologizing.
"Ah, the Christmas tree-"

You weren't quite sure on what just happened, or how it happened. However, you managed to convince a grumpy soldier to sit at your side, in front of a raging and burning fireplace. There was a rug underneath, with a paper and pen laid out on top, one that Lance Corporal Levi had been working on before you decided to burn up some wood in the chimney, and to jingle a bell into his ear, earning a low groan. Though the sternness of the man, it was a warm atmosphere, outside there fought a brutal wind as cold as ice, and the sky was black and as purple as the tips of your cold fingers.
The fire sang a song of tranquility as the man beside you stared into the orange and red flaring and flashing of the flames, eyes severe and coated with an alabaster shine. He was calm, yet he always held the same expression that you had grown used to. It was a mechanism and visage that seemingly broke down your complacency for a mere second, and replaced it with slight apprehension. But it was...rathe
