Soon I'll be releasing my new and improved icons, based on a set I produced in 2004 and released at Adobe's Share Studio. I have about 200 done and plan to launch the site when I hit the 300 mark. After that I'll keep going until maybe 1000
If anyone can think of an icon that often gets missed out, or something a bit unusual let me know and I'll add it.
Asylum, my first icon pack, all in .png format, 256x256 px, they look great on a dock and resize nicely, no rough edges or blurring (that I've noticed, using Xwindows dock). They are round, instead of the typical square icons most people are used to seeing, I'm getting bored with the iPhone/iPad style icons, time for something a little different. I'm experimenting with some more shapes, besides the rounds, maybe release in the future with some optional shapes aswell.

xpAlto Icons: Standard Folders and Overlays =============================== by GrayWz v 1.0 (27 May 2010)
Description ----------- These icons are part of a set designed to complement and improve the base Windows XP icons. I have based the new folder style of Windows Vista and 7, harmonizing it with XP. Included are the five standard XP overlay icons, reworked and improved (I think).
- 9 icons in true colour in sizes 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 px.
Default (Standard) Folders - Closed Folder - Open Folder - Windows Folder Standard Overlays - Shortcut - Share (lighter) - Share (darker) - Write to CD - Offline - Archive
A word about overlays: The shortcut and share overlays are familiar to everyone. The write to CD overlay appears on files that you have scheduled to be written to CD or DVD. The offline overlay shows on files that are available offline (the offline folders feature of XP must be enabled). The archive overlay appears if the file has been archived to tape and may take a long time to access. (Some utilities like fileTweak allow you to set this attribute manually).
With inspiration from, and thanks to: --------------------------------------------- . XML Docs by Bartelme Design (for Wolfgang Bartelme's very pleasing file style and internet globe) [link] . The XPize project [link] and icons by WereWolf [link] . Windows Design Team
To install: ---------- To change the standard open and closed folders, it is best to replace the actual icons in shell32.dll using a resource editor or Icon Workshop and then replace the dll using a program like Replacer. Or you can use the customise icons feature in an icon editor like Icon Workshop or Microangelo, but the icons in Windows' standard file open and close dialogs will remain unaltered this way.
The shortcut, share, write to CD and offline overlays are in shell32.dll. The offline overlay is in cscui.dll. Use Icon Workshop to replace the overlay icons in the dlls and Replacer to replace the dlls themselves.
Originally made for personal use, then I decided to join DeviantART and upload it.
I used three separate icons to make it, all of them made by Microsoft.
Created with IcoFX.
I made this icon to replace the user folder from Windows 7, which I think it's uglier than the icon used in Vista. I wanted to keep the 7's style, so I made it to look like the current one, but with a house instead of an user icon. However, you can give it any use you want.
There's 2 icons included. See picture for details.
Installation (for replacing the user folder icon):
Extract the icons wherever you want. (For example "C:/Icons/", which is where I put all my custom icons.)
Right ckick on desktop, Customize, change desktop icons, select your user folder, click on change icon, select the location of your downloaded icon and apply changes.

So here is a little icon set I made for my latest screenshot. Thought I'd release it.
Nothing too original here, I fell in love with space potato icon pack but thought it might never get released for android phones, so pretty much my own take on some of my favourite icons around. just wanted to do them my way and in a collective icon pack. So all credit goes to original artist designs. Nothings a copy and paste apart from the entypo icons www.entypo.com.
There's 33 icons and a PSD, I probably won't really make any more as it was just a little thing I did for my home screen but thought I'd share it. People are welcome to use the PSD. I'll be making a thread of on XDA if people wonna post their own icons.
PLEASE, If you like what you see and you wish to keep these coming, consider small donation to my paypal!

Done and done! It took a while but I'm finally done with the 100 texture studies challenge and I'm really happy about it. Usually it's done with spheres but I figured out it'd be more difficult and challenging if done on cubes.... and it was. Some of those were tiny nightmares to paint. All of them were made with brushes from my lazy brush set.
I'd be very grateful if you tried to name all of the 100 textures. I'd like to check if I managed to convey all of the materials and if people recognize them the way I planned to. If it's not the case then I still got a lot of work to do! The first 5 people to properly recognize at least 95 out of 100 blocks were: ~Filougon, ~Palibyte, ~finiens, *PrinzNero and ~Shanyume I encourage you to make your own texture studies. It's a great exercise to make your paintings more realistic. Remember though not to copy other people's studies! Instead of practicing you might end up repeating and even exaggerating their mistakes. Look for tips and solutions in other artists' works but reference real life objects and photos.
These are simple, minimal icons for common file types designed to compliment the dock-style application icons in Token [link]
Each of the 32 icons has a dark and light variant, and is saved as a windows ICO that displays crisply at pretty much any resolution you throw at it (the 16x16, 32x32, and 256x256 sizes are each tweaked for their resolution).
The above preview shows all the icons currently included, before you go through the trouble of downloading.
