Dedicated to . Thank you so much for your request! I hope you would like this.
I know that Haytham has never met baby Connor however I wanted to draw a picture of him nursing his little son.
“I never knew him. Not really. I thought I had, but it wasn’t until I read his journal that I realized I hadn’t really known him at all. And it’s too late now. Too late to tell him I misjudged him. Too late to tell him I’m sorry.”
Connor Kenway <Forsaken by Oliver Bowden>
Why did they have to fight? Why did father and son have to kill each other? Why were those two destined like that?
I just hope that Haytham would see Ziio again in the afterlife.

This was something I came up with for the Assassins Creed 3 Fan Art Competition ( [link] )
But I found out just today that unfortunately it can't be accepted because it's a contest for US people only, I'm in Australia so I'm a bit out of luck.. Ah well.
At least I can show you all now Fun to do, I'm definitely doing more, I'm really excited for AC3, only two weeks away now. Let me know what you think!
UPDATE: Also, I forgot to mention before, but the idea for the pose came from Greg Capullo's sketch: [link] So I can't take full credit for this, only found out about the competition 2 days before so I was in a bit of a rush with this, loved the idea of his pose when I saw it..
Done in 2010 winter. This one is incredibly time-consuming! And soon I understood that I can't afford this painting process anymore... /sad To avoid some ppl printing my works for sale, I decide to add watermark to my works. I modified some details just based on my preference, so please don't mind the difference between this one and the original design of Altair.
Well...some people have noticed there's a cross hanging on his arm. That's indeed a part of rosary beads. But there's also another strand of prayer beads named misbaha, which belongs to Islam. Altair had a Christian mother and a Muslim father. And he married Maria Thorpe who was once a Templar. I suppose there's no need for Altair to choose any side of religions, but many impotant affairs happened in his life, were most between Christians or Muslims, due to the period he lived at. That's why I add these elements as a sign of his complicated life.
IT'S DONE! Finally finished it. My 4th digital painting. Toook wayy too long, i lost count how many hours. Been a great learning curve and i have gained new skills and new ideas that will hopefully push me to become better This is all free hand, i wanted to test myself to interpret rather and imitate.
An influence was and he has been great inspiration for me while painting this.

EDIT (10/03/2010) 2023 views and 100 fav's! Just keeps on growing
EDIT 20/3/2011 Just over a year later and this has 10,000 views. My most successful piece to date but lots to improve on. Watch this space...
I drew a sketch of this about half a year ago while I was reading a book about da Vinci that my art history teacher recommended me back in high school. And it was like, everybody was there...the Medicis, the Sforzas, Machiavelli, Salai, Cesare Borgia, and so on... And it felt like a certain someone was missing! |:<
so...yeah XD this is Leo how he appears in the game (although I wanted to make him look more like he really was but I decided meh nevermind..) the little kid is Salai, and he doesn't look like in the game because, well, he is supposed to be younger here, and because I hate how they did him in the game..they didn't portrayed him as the angelic little bastard he really was XD
By the way as I did this, there was a friggin earthquake for a few seconds! 0__0
The Dead Sea mudafucka! Have you been there?? D : < LOL
Brief Arabic lesson: Shu? - What? La - No Yallah! - Come on! Ya - sort of like a "prefix" word, used to describe someone, comes before a certain calling name, (usually the negative way) sort of like "you/ you little/ you piece of" For example: Ya khmar! - you donkey! Ya ibn kalb! - son of dog!
For those of you who aren't familiar with the Dead Sea, it is located east to Jerusalem, and is the lowest place on earth. The amount of salt there is so high, that no living organism is able to live there (no fish!). it is also the reason why everything just floats in it, and you can't drown! (unless you really really try to..) So basically, now Altair is all salty and greasy... ehemmalikehem
My cat Remus was the motivation for this. XD I found out that he always calms down when I'm tickling his neck, no matter how mad he is. (The problem is to reach his neck when he's in a rage. :'D) Anyway ... Altair discovered this way too. XDDD
*SPOILER ALERT* Do not read the following description if you have not yet finished the game. It contains the spoilers.
Achilles Davenport. He named his new apprentice Connor after his dead son. I don't know if Achilles knew the year Connor Kenway was born but if he did...he might have been amazed by a twist of fate.
Connor Davenport, the son of Achilles died in 1755. This is the year when Kaniehti:io conceived a baby boy.
I have no idea whether people in America at that time believed in reincarnation however Achilles might have thought that *something* beyond human understanding brought Ratonhnhaké:ton to him. I think this is one of the reasons he decided to give his son's name to Ratonhnhaké:ton.
I was also wondering that the assassin robe Connor Kenway received had been prepared for Connor Davenport. Achilles gave everything what his son was supposed to receive to Connor. Knowledge, thoughts, killing skill, creed of the order, Assassin blade, robe and love. Love of the male parent which Connor has never been showered with. Ratonhnhaké:ton became his new "son", probably.
All I write here are just my headcanon though. Whenever I think of the relationship between Connor and his mentor, I have tears in my eyes. So beautiful and heartwarming...but sad at the same time as Connor lost Achilles forever.
I liked Achilles a lot. Rest in peace, old man...

This was for a friend because he likes Assassin's Creed. This was fun and challenging to draw/paint. And if you have an urgent message you can email me through my yahoo account...I usually check that every week. I have a journal on my profile page with my email ^^
I wonder who would win in a fight... =.= My bet is on Connor
I haven't even played Assassins creed 1, so I guess this is the first time I've drawn Altair..?
Also I am very surprised by how many people don't like Connor... I adore him, he is so naive, grumpy and frustratingly suborn, Though I do love his rude classy father. Anyway I haven't finished the game yet, I'm stuck at a horribly glitchy level...and its really pissing me off =.= I think I will just get my brother to do that mission for me...because I am lazy.
Oh yes...and I tried to use 'subdued colours' for once in my life. Also excuse the anatomical errors everywhere...OTL I seem to only spot them once I have passed the point of no return.
OH YES! Almost forgot! I love AC 3 because you can invert the Y and X axis...and that's how I like to play my games, because I am very very weird...I blame final fantasy. Dishonored was really hard to play because I kept trying to turn and ended up turning the wrong way and getting killed...
*edit, Ezio's arm is under the cloak thingy. =.= why do I need to point this out?
