“Yeah...” I replied. I never was much of a talker. Actions speak louder than words, I'd always heard. I'm fairly sure I heard him giggle as he juggled the Poke ball for a while, finally handing it to me in jest. “Rock on, lil' guy.” he'd say.
If only someone had told me that Brock would be the first gym I'd have to face. I can't imagine how many other kids just like me chose Charmander, only to give up or get frustrated having traveled all the way to Pewter City from home.

I'm sitting at home again.
My brothers and sisters are all out training, but I'm just sitting here, exhausted. I've done so much in my lifetime, yet I know that somewhere out there is some kid who'll do it all in a shorter amount of time, or with less struggle.
