Her eyes followed his hand up to his neck and she noticed that he had hair; thick, black, wild hair. Her eyes followed it up to the top of his head down to where the very tip of the arrow peeked out from underneath, and finally to the eyes she kept finding herself thinking about. He had abandoned the layers of orange and yellow robes and was wearing a dark pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

The leaders of the world had started arriving and it was her place to stand with her father and brother as she did at all important events, and this was probably the most important event of their lifetime. Avatars tended to live very long lives, so the announcement of a new avatar only happened once every century or more.
