To PretendI don't pretend to know the futureMore Like This
or even the time the train will come
to whisk away my breath
as I sit upon the gravel of
Government property, under the bridge
next to the metal tracks.
I see no "no trespassing" sign.
I don't pretend to know what I'm
doing or what I am supposed to do.
I just sit and enjoy the waves of
thought crash upon the page
here, I exist as one, not many
different systems, or atoms, but as
one soul.
I don't pretend to know me, or
why I exist. Because I haven't
figured that out yet. I just know
that when the train rushes past
my mind will be at peace.
