I toke this almost more than one year ago.

People watching in Kiev Square .. I saw an aspiring photographer trying to get "Jumpology" pictures of his girlfriend .. she was exhasperated and complaining .. he must have been at it for over 30 minutes. I stood watched "Clicked" and walked away. This is what I got ..I considered showing it to the couple .. and then decided not to. Let them have their fun I thought

Motherland Monument

Mother of the Fatherland or, and more commonly referred to as, 'Mother of the Motherland' is a monumental statue in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The sculpture is a part of Museum of the Great Patriotic War, Kiev. Designed by Yevgeny Vuchetich, the stainless steel statue stands 62 m (203 ft) tall upon the museum building with the overall structure measuring 102 m (335 ft) and weighing 560 tons. The sword in the statue's right hand is 16 m (52 ft) long weighing 9 tons, with the left hand holding up a 13 by 8 m (43 by 26 ft) shield with the State Emblem of the Soviet Union. The Memorial hall of the Museum displays marble plaques with carved names of more than 11,600 soldiers and over 200 workers of the home-front honored during the war with the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union and the Hero of Socialist Labor. On the hill beneath the museum, traditional flower shows are held. The sword of the statue was cut because the tip of the sword was higher than the cross of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra

The lights of the Tramontana's Wall have been off the last few days, I have no idea why, but the effect is quite nice.

This is the view from my window, this deviation is my entry for the "Where I live" #CRPhotography's Contest.

So yeah! Backgrounds!

This was my final project for background design class taught by my teacher ~Sarafinconcepts. I am not a background artist, have never expressed interest in becoming one because drawing them kinda bores me... so I have very very little practice with drawing any sort of environment and it does not come naturally. These aren't meant to be super realistic, but they are pretty detailed, with them being 11"x17" @ 300 dpi (10"x20" for the top one). I also do not like working large. All in all not my favorite class ever, but it has definitely given me some useful tips (omg mixer brush ftw) and much needed practice.


These are some concept designs for Theod's planet- the unnamed Arnok homeworld. A lot of inspiration was taken from the work of ~SpinningAngel and my favorite place on Earth: Lake Powell. However I did not use any reference when drawing these so I feel kinda like a badass pulling them out of my head.

The top panorama is also a seamless repeating loop :3 I also had a lot of fun playing with the colors.

And this concludes my Metroid Prime Corruption series.

From references that I got from 2 pics that I took of a YouTube video, I made this, believe it or not. They're not perfect in quality and that's when my art style comes in to make this look like the beginning entrance part in the Pirate Homeworld.

If there's more 3D Metroid games coming up in the future, with everything with everything on it like the Metroid Prime trilogy, I'm go going to be happy.

Seems like maybe it's going to be so because at the 100% ending with that unknown silver ship following Samus. People say it's Sylux's, but the ship is silver, not blue and green.

Rumors (I might be wrong) say that Metroid Dread is a new DS sidescroller game. That will be cool to have a 2 screened Metroid game coming up, but what if it's another 3D Metroid game?
