I finally finished it ;A; and I still struggled to find stuff to fill the space lD
Elryn is probably one of the only OC's I have that I haven't more or less deserted yet (I'm a bad person I know) I still have the original drawing of him from about 4 years back, which was actually supposed to be for a piece of art I was going to sell as a one off. I actually remember telling myself not to get attached to the design. Oooohhh boy.
I made this reference sheet for commissions and stuff, but also for my 'webcomic' in which he is one of two Protagonists. The other is Matthew, and he'll get a matching sheet in due time *cough* probably never *cough* The wings are a tad lazy haha
---------------------------------------- Extra pointers: -The diamond marking is on his forehead, not on his hair. Like eyes I draw it over the hair so it's not obscured. -He's supposed to look at least a little bit feminine. (but not because I like drawing girly guys D:<) -The areas on his torso and face is actually a very fine fur and the skin underneath has the same pigment. The area around his shoulders where the wings start is a mix of fur and very downy feathers. The Lesser coverts of the wing are these same downy feathers, and only start to form into flight feathers at the middle coverts. -His head hair and the hair on the end of his tail are the same colour and quality (shiney anime hair yay) -He is supposed to wear clothes but I left them off so you can see the anatomy a bit better uvu the lower half of his body is much hairier and takes on a faun-like aesthetic. His default outfit for most drawings was a pair of green quarter lengths but I'm not even too sure if he'll wear them in the comic TvT'' as I kinda like the naked look too haha, much more chimera-esque
yeah sorry for the title, couldn't come up with anything. Might change it later! But yes, 2h sketch/painting whatever you'd call it. I had this dream last night, all I can recall is this "scene", so I thought it'd be cool to flesh it out! people discovering something gross on a foreign planet perhaps.
Just got home from a trip, and I finally got to finish what I've been working on for quite a while. I've always been fascinated by warfare in different eras, and this time I felt that the early days of firearms during the 15th-17th century needed some representation around here What you're seeing is rows of tercios* duking it out on a huge battlefield; and the brave battle-drummer trying to avoid bullets through sheer willpower.
*The tercio was an infantry formation made up of pikemen, swordsmen and arquebusiers or musketeers in a mutually supportive formation. The formation dominated European battlefields in the sixteenth century and the first half of the seventeenth century and is seen by historians as a major development of Early Modern combined arms warfare. (Wikipedia!)
Acredito que o Spinosaurus se alimentava de peixes e as vezes, investia em presas desavisadas que iam beber água. Provavelmente usava sua camuflagem como os crocodilos modernos usam, passando-se por troncos.
The beauty of a Hover type self-propelled gun is that it circumvents some of the natural handicaps of a tracked SPG: the limited gun traversal of casemate style AFVs means that the entire vehicle must often pivot in order to increase its cone of fire... a traditionally clumsy process which can involve tearing up ground or road surface beneath the vehicle. -But a hover type SPG does not have this problem. In addition to fine tuning a vehicle's aim without concern for terrain features, I suppose that whatever anti-grav mechanisms there are stabilizing the vehicle could also compensate for a large degree of gun recoil, or maybe even minimize the impact shock of enemy fire.
The initial roughs for this guy were fun too. I may post them later.
This work was first planned as album cover - didn't happen - then one of my mates needed a book cover, so I managed to modify it a bit and yeah - this is now book cover. But I decided to modify it even more, so this one is more like final revision of my previous work Mambo-jambo. I'm quite happy with it - a bit tron look you know. It's also a piece of concept art for my own game: #Cyrstal too - so lot of things going on here. As usual - enjoy. And don't forget to follow me via Facebook too - so stuff going on there too.
It's second book for Tuumahiid series: www.apollo.ee/tuumahiid.html (sry it's in Estonian). If the second one is out - i will post it on my facebook fanpage too. Book is by those people: ulmeajakiri.ee/ and it's like sci-fi story collection (sry it's in Estonian too)
