To the Sound of Music
She hears the gentle hum of a guitar somewhere nearby. The house is empty, Bonnie and her family having left on vacation yesterday. It’s Saturday, and the little girl isn’t expected back until the following Friday, which to the delight of her toys – those she has left behind anyway – means a weeklong break for them too.
Most of them are settled in the living room, watching scary movies to better suit the rainy day. But Jessie isn’t much in the mood for that. She had been content lounging in the window of Bonnie’s room, watching the rain slide down the window pane and tracing pictures in the foggy glass. But then the soothing notes of a slow guitar tickle her senses, lures her from the room like the coaxing fingers of a lover. There's no way. He couldn't be. Or could he? It would definitely explain how he had seen and been to so many places. But Daddy had always said that humans are vicious and cruel. But Johnny wasn't like that at all! He was fun, laid back, and incredibly sweet. And I just can't shake the way I felt when I first saw him. I can't even describe it, but it made me feel alive.

"You mean more to me than anyone in the world. You're my zing, my soulmate, and I want to spend every day together for as long as we possibly can."
