IS UP YAYAYAY!!!
Since I've always wanted to tell the story of my InuYasha fan-demon Irynia
, and I really love doujinshi, I decided to make a short doujinshi based on her story.
I figure it'll be good practice since I want to make a graphic novel someday, and I've never really sat down and worked out the "art" of layouts and such!
Fair warning, though:
Since this is my first foray into the world of comic/manga-art, it's probably going to be sub-par. Just saying.
I've honestly never even TRIED to do this before, so go easy on me!!
Obviously, InuYasha does not belong to me; but the original storyline and original characters are my own creation! c:
Here's some more stuff about Irynia to get you interested. c:
Our story starts post-series InuYasha.
Irynia's wandering through the forest and picks a fight with the demon Sesshōmaru
, after they happen to cross paths.
You see, Irynia's kind of a bitch.
She loves causing trouble. And I mean BIG trouble.
Destruction, chaos; you name it, she wants to be a part of it.
And of course whenever she comes across another demon, no matter who it is, she picks a fight.
Sesshōmaru, who was just minding his own business, is completely pissed at the needless challenge, but fights her nonetheless.
I mean ... it's Sesshōmaru. Piss him off and you'll pay.
As they fight, they leave a wake of destruction (most of which is caused by Irynia).
She flies off laughing, having had her fun, and sets fire to a village or two (you know, just for kicks) ...
But all this chaos disturbs an earth spirit, waking it from its slumber.
In anger, it invades Irynia's body and removes her demonic powers
, taking her Yōki as retribution for her careless behavior.
She becomes mortal
as a result, throwing her into the midst of the humans she once despised.
As she adjusts to her new life (and her new looks
), she learns a powerful lesson in kindness ... and discovers the meaning of unconditional friendship.
I hope you guys stick around and read this, because it should be sweet (and, because I have no shame, it will feature a lot of Sesshōmaru ... because my inner fifteen-year-old DEMANDS it).
