*beep beep* *boop* *beep*
Computer noises woke you up.
The floor beneath you felt cold and using your hands you lifted yourself off the ground to a sitting position. It smelled like Lysol; the cleaner that sanitizes tile. Slowly with blinking eyes, you looked up.
Noises and flashing lights greeted you and you felt you were in some different world…which you were.
Wondering, “Where am I?” you slowly stood up and touched one of the computers.
The computer’s screen automatically light up from your touch and produced a bright white light.
Trying to adjust to the onslaught of total brightness, you covered your face with your hand. The computer then asked you in a mechanical voice, “Hello”
In awe you put down your hand and replied, “H-Hi” You made a wave.
It took a moment to respond, “Ask a question”
‘Wow straight to the point. But why is this computer giving me an uneasy feeling?’, you thought. Responding to the computer, you asked, “Could you tell me where I am?”
It responded, “You are in Ladonia, little _____”
“Ladonia?” you mouthed. Then you realized the computer said you’re name. “H-how the heck did you know my name? Plus how did I even get here?
A sinister noise equivalent to an evil chuckle came from it. “I’m afraid I can’t answer that poor lost _____. How about you take a little nap?” A taser came from out of nowhere and came to you.
“What the hell!? Get away from me!” Running away from the taser, you tripped on a wire. Using your hands as a shield, you landed with a THUD!
“Ow” The taser loomed closer to you. Trying to crawl away, it followed. The last thing that you heard was, “Tiny _____ you need not worry, your memories shall be safe with me…”
Then a flash of light singed your side, “GAHH!” and all but the dark was left.
~~~Timeskip Of Adult Ladonia Covering Himself with only a Keyboard (yes another pervy comment)~~
Ladonia just got out of a micronation meeting. It turned out to be bickering as usual because Hutt River wanted to rule them and Ladonia wouldn’t have that because he wanted to do that. Sealand tried to stop their argument but then Ladonia yelled him that he should be the leader of the micronations. Molissa was shouting a string of obscenities and Wy got pissed off and left.
So in other words, the meeting was a dud.
“Ugh we are no b’tt’r th’n the ‘real’ nations” (ugh we are no better than the ‘real’ nations) Ladonia muttered angrily. He did not understand why no one paid attention to them. Weren’t they the same kind of nation except a little smaller? Even if he was an Internet nation, he legitimately had land in the ‘real’ world.
Ladonia stepped into the Nordic household. The Nordics were all fighting again. Denmark started it and Berwald with his usual stoic expression looked at Matthias as if he wanted to hit him.
“Why the h’ll is ev’ryone fighting t’day? ‘diots…” (why the hell is everyone fighting today? Idiots…) Ladonia sulked over to his computer room.
Now that he thought about it, it seemed that even Sve seemed not to like having him around; sometimes Ladonia wished that someone outside his group considered him a nation…even if it was a complete stranger.
Well it seems like it was his lucky day.
Opening his room, he found a pretty girl with [h/c] in a ponytail and in what looked like to be exercise clothes. (why does everyone think that? Its pajamas!) He saw you lying down unconscious with one foot tangled up in cords. Kneeling down beside your body, he unwrapped your foot from the cords. Then he saw a part of your shirt that was singed and under that lay burned skin. He looked around for any frayed wires that could have caused that burn, but he couldn’t find any. Confused he looked back to you again and whispered, “How d’d you get th’t burn?” He examined your face. “And how d’d you ev’n get ‘n here?”
Nosy Denmark stepped inside the room, “Hey Erland we are going to eat-“ He saw your body. His eyes light up. “You brought a girl here?... and she’s hot!”
Ladonia turned beet red. “What?! I d’dn’t bring her h’re-“
Finland came in. “Matthias what is go-“ He saw you. “Who is that? And why is she unconscious?!”
“How should I-“ Ladonia started to reply.
Norway, Iceland, and Sweden came in the room too. Norway asked, “There is a dead girl over there…why?”
Iceland replied, “A dead girl?” He looked at you then Ladonia. “You killed her?”
Berwald interrupted Ladonia and said, “She l’’ks l’ke she’s breathing. Why is she h’re?” (she looks like she is breathing. Why is she here?)
“Dammit! She is alive! Got th’t? Second, I d’n’t know how she got ‘n h’re!!” Ladonia screamed.
Throughout this whole commotion, you raised your head up. “Grr who is yelling?” You rubbed one of your temples and looked up to the person you only dreamed of meeting:
Erland Oxenstierna. Bright cherry red hair looked alive as an open flame. Pale white skin clearly contrasted with the pinkish paint-streak smeared across his face. Looking up to his light blue eyes, you felt you would have continued staring at him if not for the Nordic 5.
“Oh look she’s awake” Lukas commented.
“If that wasn’t obvious enough” Emil responded.
“Stop guys! We have a new guest!” Tino said. “Hello, my name is-“
“She d’’sn’t care. All of you get out of my r’’m!” (she doesn’t care. All of you get out of my room!) Ladonia was annoyed that everyone barged into his room and started saying idiotic things.
You softly spoke and they all immediately shut up. “H-Hi my name is ______. I kinda already know all of your names and you being countries… so yeah…”
For a few moments, the room fell silent. Then chaos erupted.
Finland: “Miss, how did you know about us?”
Sweden: “How d’d th’s h’ppen?” (how did this happen?)
Denmark: “Are you some spy? That’s hot”
Norway: “Well that shocked me…”
Effectively cutting through their questions, Ladonia asked you, “You know about us?”
“Do you th’nk I’m a nation?”
“Yeah of course, Ladonia! What else would you be?” You smiled. Ladonia reciprocated your smile.
“Ugh get a room” Emil said.
“Aww Erland got a girlfriend!” Denmark cheered.
Erland’s ears turned fuchsia. “G’t the H’LL OUT OF MY R’’M!” (get the hell out of my room)
Tino exclaimed, “But we have more questions to ask-“
“OUT!” Erland somehow got the strength to push them all out. Sweden gave him a look that seemed to convey, “We shall talk about this-her-later” Then Ladonia slammed the door hard.
Now alone in the room with Ladonia made you self-conscious. ‘I’m here alone with my crush…what should I say? Hi? Wait I already said that. Then what else should I say?’
Thankfully, Ladonia was a better conversationalist than you were. Pointing to your side, he stated, “Th’t looks l’ke ‘t hurts” (that looks like it hurts)
Looking down, you were baffled at the huge angry burn at your side. The fabric of your shirt seemed to have melted through and your skin was critically singed. Touching it slightly, it started to finally hurt. “Ouch” you said in a pained whisper.
Erland came closer to you. “D’n’t touch ‘t, you’ll make ‘t w’rse” (don’t touch it, you’ll make it worse) With first aid in hand, he opened it and pulled out alcohol. He motioned for you to sit on a chair. Saying, “I’m n’t a d’ctor, but I’m pretty sure this is going to hurt” He put some alcohol on your wound. Grabbing the chair arms until your knuckles were white you told him, “Shouldn’t we be doing this at a bathroom?”
He shrugged. “I w’uld have, but they are all out th’re” He shook his head. He took out some gauze.
“I’m sure they are not that bad” You said as Ladonia tried to wrap the gauze over your shirt. Giggling you took the gauze from him, partially lifted up your shirt and wrapped it around you.
Ladonia looked away blushing. He saw part of your bra and he was having some ‘thoughts’. Ignoring that urge, he questioned, “How did you even get that burn? It’s like a taser burn”
The cruel flashback of that memory flashed through you brain before you blacked out. As if to scare you further, a computer screen flashed once before it settled again. Turning back to Erland you said, “N-Not sure…my mind is a bit fuzzy right now” You knotted the gauze and put your shirt down.
“Fuzzy? L’ke a headache?”
“Yeah like a headache” But deep down you knew that wasn’t true. The memories before you stepped into that mirror were fading fast like a black and white film. Swallowing any tears that threatened to come your way, you tried to distract him. “So you come from the Internet? Can you travel through computer?”
Caught off guard by your question, he forgot all other questions he was about to ask you. “Ja I do. And c’mputer travel, of course! I c’n show y-“
*door knocking along with Finland’s voice*
Interrupted by Finland, Erland stated, “How m’ny damn t’mes before they stop ‘nterrupting me and my conversations!?”
You chuckled and stated, “I’m sure they-erm-he doesn’t mean to”
Ladonia rolled his eyes. “Ja right” He was turning the knob of the door when he said, “How much do you w’nna bet th’t they are crowding th’s door?”
Erland opened the door to find all the Nordics there.
Clearly annoyed, he told them, “Th’s b’tter be ‘mportant” (this better be important)
Finland smiled politely. “Dinner is already served if you and ____ want to join”
You were going to accept the invitation when Ladonia said, “We are not ‘nterested to be crowded w’th your ent’re sexually frustrated atm’sphere!” Acting spoiled he added, “D’n’t b’ther getting us out of h’re- ‘specially you Sve!”
Berwald grunted while everyone was shocked to what Erland said.
Slamming the door once again, Ladonia planted himself to a rolling chair next to you. Spinning your chair in circles, you asked, “Did you really have to say that?”
His azure orbs flicked over to you. “Say what?”
“Say that whole ‘sexually frustrated atmosphere’ bit? It was kind of over the top”
Erland huffed. “Well ‘t’s true! H’ve you seen how they’ve acted? L’ke a damn soap opera”
You burst into laughter. Wiping your tears from your eyes you then enquired, “So are we ever going to eat or stay on strike?”
“We just h’ve to wait t’ll they finish d’nner… th’n we feast!”
Nodding your head in pure amusement, you wanted to tease him. Grabbing his chair, you spun him around. “Woah!” he shouted.
You snickered and mock screamed when he came over to you to whirl you around in your chair.
“No Erland! Stop! Eep!”
~~~~Timeskip Of Erland Tying You To The Chair With His Computer Chords (eyebrow wiggle hehe)~~~
Almost two hours past when you were playing with Ladonia. (Not like that, you sickos)
During that time, you both were laughing and all smiles. Erland looked to you differently during this time. The way you smiled, the way your head flew back in laughter made him want to hug you or better…but he didn’t of course due to his shyness to women.
Upon hearing no more voices outside his door, you whispered, “Erland”
“I think we can go outside now…they seem to be finished eating”
For a brief second, Ladonia pouted, he wanted to spend more time with you. But then he then quickly hid his childish emotion. Quietly opening his door and looking around, he stated, “The coast ‘s clear. Let’s go!”
You hurriedly followed him and tip-toed your way out of the room.
You went to the table to find two clean plates already set down. You said, “Thank you” and sat down.
Erland nodded and said, “We shouldn’t talk th’t loud. They m’ght wake up and b’ther us”
You uttered an “Okay” as Ladonia served you. “Thank you Erland, you are quite the gentleman~”
He blushed and looked down to his food and ate.
You looked down to your food and asked, “Is this some type of casserole?”
He nodded. “Ja it’s called Janssons frestelse. It’s l’ke a p’tato casserole”
“Oh” you looked to your plate again, got a fork, stuck it in the food, and put it to your mouth. Gleefully you smiled. “It’s good!”
He gave a closed smile and continued eating.
Dinner was going great. By the time, you two finished you guys once again were play fighting. This is how it went: you liked teasing him and he liked to retaliate. You guys had to muffle your laughter but that didn’t stop a certain person from getting into your guys’ business.
“Is that a game you’re playing? Can I join?”
You guys stopped laughing and turned to yep you guessed it: Denmark.
You would have let him join but the face he made to you looked a cross between rapist and perverted Danish man. “Errr”
Ladonia stood up, grabbed you, and said, “G’t out of h’re Matthias..why are you always going ‘nto everyone’s business?”
“I am not. I just hang around where the cuties hang out” He winked at you.
You could have blushed if not for Erland pulling you with him and saying, “Run!”
You guys raced back to the computer room sadly Matthias blocked the way so Erland had to veer in another direction. Speeding off into another corridor, he pulled you into a room and locked it.
It was dark. “Hey can you turn on a light, I feel like I will trip over something” Your foot caught on something. “Oops too laaaaate!” You expected your face to hit the floor when the light turned on and in that same moment a pair of strong arms quickly grabbed you.
Opening one eye at a time, you breathed a sigh of relief. “Glad that I didn’t fall” Then you felt your back pressed against his chest. Your cheeks burst with red as you stuttered, “C-Can you p-put me down?”
“S-sure” Erland rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.
You looked away from him and to the room in front of you. Nice shades of green covered the room. The wallpaper was pixelated like it would be for a computer screen. Very interested you looked over his bedframe to see his nation’s flag hanging there.
Once again being a tease you stated, “You know you should make that green cross on your green flag more visible”
A little shamed he responded, “Yeah I should fix th’t”
“Aww I was kidding if it makes you any better I would like to say-” You went close to him and thought, ‘Its now or you will never get the courage again’ You kissed his cheek with the paint on it. Then you hugged him. “-to say thank you Erlie, my dear”
Flustered, he hugged you back and hugged you tighter. He put his head in the crook of your neck and murmured, “Min kärlek”
You were quite sure he called you my something. About to ask him, what did he say in Swedish, Finland knocked on the door. “Erland? _____? Why is the door locked?”
“It’s obvious what they are doing” Norway helpfully added.
“That is just vulgar” Finland retorted.
Clenching his hands, Ladonia gently pulled away from you and said, “Wait h’re. I h’ve to take care of th’se idiots” Then thinking twice he added, “Sleep h’re if I take too l’ng…Goodnight”
He opened the door and of course all the Nordics crowded him. Denmark tried to get past him to get to you but Erland closed the door behind him and started yelling.
You softly said, “Goodnight” and sat on the bed. Deciding that the scream war outside wasn’t going to die down soon; you lay your head down on the soft plushie pillow and tuned out the Nordics shouting.
You recalled today’s events and you smiled warmly. Today was real and not a dream! Your fleeting wish from that odd mirror came true!
But as you lay there, you remembered that you were slowly forgetting your old life and the people, and more importantly, your parents you left behind in your own dimension.
Now all that worried your mind was “Why am I forgetting them?...”
“…And how do I get back home?”
