The next morning, when he woke up, Hawkpaw still felt strange but it was a feeling that was easy to ignore. He was meeting with Lunapaw again that night, and nothing was going to stop him. Padding into the forest, he was tasting the air for pray when something made his heart stop. Standing in front of him was a small she-cat with a spotted brown pelt that matched his own, and bright green eyes. "O.. Oak-kit?" He whispered, confused. No, it couldn't be. She was dead. Dead! Never coming back.

Featherbreeze sat quietly in the warrior's den. He long gray tail twitched as she watched the leaves fall slowly to the ground. Heaving a long sigh, she stood up and padded into the clearing. The soft wind blew through her thick fur. At the edge of camp, she saw Soulheart pad out of the medicine cat den. Featherbreeze walked up to him slowly, careful not to make much of a noise.
"How is he?" she asked the gray tom.
"Stoneslash? He's fine, if not a bit shaken. Swallowclaw didn't do enough damage to actually hurt him. Sure, he'll have a few scars, but that's it." He answered confidently.
Featherbreeze gave a half-smile, wishing she could be as confident as the young medicine cat. 'I still can't help, but feel as if this is my fault. Swallowstrike
