Converted Chapter 1Dr. Halsey strode down the hall of the aircraft, to the Conference Room, finding the irony of the upcoming interview amusing. After all, who would have thought that the Covenant would have dredged up something like THIS? Just to combat her Spartans. A self-mocking smile flashed across her face as the old guilt and protectiveness resurfaced, but only briefly. She quickly pushed the feelings aside as she arrived at her destination.More Like This
She kept her face blank as she entered. Eight heads turned to greet her. The most noticeable and the one standing closest to her was the Arbiter, leader of the Elites who were allied with the humans. Approximately seven feet and ten inches tall standing, he easily dwarfed the other two humans in the room. In addition to his reptilian yellow eyes and the elegant silver armor, he cut an impressive figure.
Next was Admiral Serin Osman. Her brown eyes barely contained the ill feelings that she and Dr. Halsey shared toward one-another, a faint look of disgust
Halo - Rebel at Heart (Chapter 4)Eris sat the window shelf gazing out into the camp of the Rebels, watching the world move around her. No exercises, no cryo training, no rifle ranges… just her and her mind alone to stew her into boredom. She watched some children playing a game. It was a game the marines played a lot but she could never recall the name of it. Kicking a ball around and trying to get it between two poles… basketball? Eris rolled her eyes at that stupid thought.More Like This
The door of her room creaked open and to her surprise it was Rosa. She stood at the door looking up an Eris with her remaining, un-scarred eye. The child then walked in, looking elsewhere as she sat down on the fur rug. It was as if Rosa had a cold shoulder about something. It took a moment for Eris to remember that rude look she gave to Rosa the other day. Eris looked out the window, then to Rosa with a frown.

The night turned into morning and a new and wonderful day of fun was in store for the Reed Father and son. Tom woke up in a good mood, the time was around 10:30am, he figured he would let Jackson sleep in a bit to rest up for day planned out by his loving Father. He was in such a good mood that Tom started to cook up breakfast for the family. The smell of bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, toast, and his favorite or hash browns filled the house. The mouth watering mix of smells drifted through the house and snuck under every door filling the rooms with the smell of food. Sniffing the air, Jackson opened his eyes a bit and sat up yawning, the smell caused the boy’s stomach to react.
“That smells so good.” he said softly before climbing down out of bed to see if the smell was real. Arriving to the kitchen he saw Tom and Isaac talking, peeking around the corner he saw the meal being made, so mouth watering it was that he licked his lips. Such good mea

Two months had passed and it was almost time for the baby to be born. Only two more months left. Tanya’s belly was really swollen from the baby. Tom was becoming more and more like his old self which made Tanya very happy, Jackson could see his Father for who he really was. In the two months that had passed there were no attacks from the Demon or any strange happenings. It both unsettled Tanya and Tom but also pleased them that nothing had happened so far. They knew to not let their guard down, for all they knew the Demon could come back and torment them once again, but things were calm and Jackson continued to play and be himself. The only thing he wanted to do was play baseball with his father, practice throwing the ball, attend some games or go see some ODSTs. Rook was always happy to see the little boy. At the moment that Jacks

"Is it a boy?" he asked as she pet his head.
"We'll see once the babe is born, it's good to have it as a surprise." she said kissing his head before looking at Tom bringing her tea. "Thank you Tom."
"My pleasure. Anything for you." Tom smiled as he leaned down and kissed Tanya's cheek. His smiled grew wider as he looked down at her swollen belly with their second child.
"Dad, what do you think it'll be? I'm thinking a boy." Jackson said rubbing Tanya's belly again before listening to it while Isaac watched on, keeping track of everything.
"You're too curious for your own good." Tanya teased Jackson.
"Well, I hope it's a beautiful girl just like your Mother." Tom smiled warmly as he put his hand on Tanya's belly.
"A girl! We'll have to get a lot of things for her! We could use my stuff if it's a boy." Jackson told.
"If it's a girl, she'll be a rough and tough gir
