Snow fell lightly from the darkened sky, coating the already white, covered ground. It was an unusually cold and crisp night in Futago Pass; and Jerome was sitting in a clearing, away from the rest of the group. It was past midnight, and he hadnt slept yet. Tonight, he decided to watch the moon in silence and had been doing so since the rest of the group had fallen asleep. Weed, why are you up? he asked in his usual tone of voice, You need to rest if we are to make progress in your training tomorrow.
Weed didnt say a word; he simply kept coming and sat right down next to his second-in-command.
