“Shit.” She threw the covers off her and jumped out from under them. Her feet landed on the plush black carpet placed next to her bed. “Shit. I’m late. I’m late. I’m late.”
In a rush she ran to her dresser flinging the door open. As fast as she could she pulled on her clothes and armor, her fingers skillfully clicking everything into place. Once that was finished she rushed into the bathroom splashing water onto her face. There was no time for makeup; she’d have to do that later. She ran her fingers through her hair, wincing as they snagged on knots. Before leaving the bathroom she clipped her mask into place.
“Please don’t be too late…” She glanced at the clock one more time before darting out the door and down the hallway, past the elevator, and into the emergency stairs. She took t

The figure, a young girl clothed in black with silver armor strapped in place, stepped out of the darkness. Karai. A metal mask obscured half of her face but her golden eyes were still visible. She rocked back and forth on the bed her knees pressed against her chest. It had only been a few minutes but she was already bored out of her mind. There wasn’t much you could do in a cell with only white walls. She supposed she should be thinking of a way out of this place but she wasn’t in the mood. The people who had captured her already knew about her power, they probably knew where she lived. They had taken her cell phone away from her while she had been knocked out. There wasn’t any way too escape.
Someone was heading back to her cell. She could feel them approaching. It was the girl from before, she was sure. It hadn’t been thirty minutes according to the clock above the door. Why was she coming back early? Had she done something wrong just by sitting? There was a click and the door opened allowing the girl in. Karai, that’s what her name was.
May looked at her trying to see what kind of mood she was in. It didn’t se
