As announced on my Facebook page, here's the start of a new fractal saga! Which will likely keep me busy for a couple of months, at this rate.
The Fundamentals will all be inspired by my own relationship, as an individual, with the key aspects of life. They will include a number of things I consider important on a very abstract level. (I'm pretty much an abstract person myself). There will be seven fractals in total in this saga, this one being the first.
The Seeker represents my relationship with knowledge. I've always been fascinated by learning, and that has applied to many subjects to date; even now, it's hard for me to find the time to explore all of my intellectual curiosities, since I have very many and I really do wish I knew more of everything. It applies to academics, especially in terms of computing expertise and programming languages; it also applies to hobbies, as I'd like to develop my artistic self a lot more than I already have, and I'd love to get some more writing time too. I definitely wish I could devote more time to all of this. I wish I could get all the time I wanted and learn everything I wanted, because I find the very learning experience one of the most enriching and satisfactory aspects of my life, no matter the subject.

Those who have watched me for a while know that I'm an atheist but much art, music and literature has been created with religion/god as the basis or theme. Religion informs culture, shapes culture and is pervasive in our lives, regardless of whether or not we agree with it. We all use religious themes and examples at times to explain what we mean, knowing that others with the same cultural context will understand perfectly. One doesn't have to believe in god to use spiritual imagery or to appreciate the artistic beauty created in the name of religion.

In that vein, I named this fractal for a line in the long poem Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood by William Wordsworth.

Some Protoss this time! Another short story; was definitely a bit of a change of pace after all the Zerg work I've been doing. (Have to get into the groove though, what with LotV coming up!)

STALMYT is a mix up mash up of the word STALAGMITE, where it took STAL and combined it with MYT, a commonly used technique which involves changing the spelling of a word (or part of one) that is pronounced the same

this is the bug-inspiration: [link] but um... i kinda ended up turing it into a mite

"in lush meadows in mountain valleys, STALMYT meander through the flowers and vegetation. It's sharp poison filled thorn makes up for it's slow moving and docile nature."
