The Protest the Hero Project 1 of 30

Today I devised a plan to create a new typography project. It might even turn into my thesis project. One of my quickest-rising favorite bands is Protest the Hero. Their lyrics are incredibly powerful, and that's rare for me to even acknowledge considering I usually pay very little attention to a song's words.

This band means quite a lot to me. Of their three major albums (Kezia, Fortress, and Scurrilous), each with ten songs, I have favorite bits of each. I'm planning to typographically interpret a line, phrase, or stanza from each of the 30 songs and turn it into a poster.

Tapestry is song #5 from their 2011 release, Scurrilous. Some lyrics:

Drunk as hell
Dumb as all get out
So pucker up those pretty lips of yours and
Kiss my ass and shut your mouth

Sometimes a knife right through your heart is exactly what you need
Sometimes the things that you're ashamed of make you who you're supposed to be

Jesus Christ
Collection by
This is a more updated version of "In His Arms".
From the left, the people are Jon Metcalf, Jesus, a Girl, Seth Stracener, and an Angel. I had meant for more people to be in it, but I think it would have distracted from it if I had. When I look at this picture, it reminds me that even though God is a powerful and jealous God, he also loves more than anyone in this world ever possibly could. Wouldn't it feel great just to hug Jesus? I can only imagine what an amazing gift that would be. I know sometimes, well, alot of times, I fall away from Him. But there is always, always forgiveness. Thank you, Lord for what all you've done in my life and the lives of those I love.
I hope this brings comfort to everyone that sees it. Remember why we celebrate Christmas this year. Christ was born then, and 33 or so years later, He was pierced with three nails and a crown of thorns, hanging and struggling for breathe, asking God to forgive the people who had betrayed Him...even though He didn't have to. Just something to think about.

"Was God smiling when He spoke the words that made the world?
And did He cry about the flood?
What does God's voice sound like when He sings, when He's angry?
These are just a few things that the angels have on me

Well, I can't fly at least not yet
I've got no halo on my head
And I can't even start to picture Heaven's beauty
But I've been shown the Savior's love
The Grace of God has raised me up
To show me things the angels long to look into
And I know things the Angels only wish they knew

I have seen the dark and desperate place where sin will take you
I've felt loneliness and shame
And I have watched the blinding light of grace
Come breaking through with a sweetness only tasted
By the forgiven and redeemed

And someday I'll sit down with my angel friends
Up in heaven
And they'll tell me about Creation
And I'll tell them a story of Grace

Well, I can't fly at least not yet
I've got no halo on my head
And I can't even start to picture Heaven's beauty
But I've been shown a Savior's love
The Grace of God has raised me up
To show me things the angels long to look into
And I know things the Angels only wish they knew "

I know that many people doesn't believe in God, nor in Jesus Christ the God's lamb. You might not believe in what I'm going to write about, but I'm not writing to convince you but to share my testimony of the Lord. It is up to you to choose whether to believe in it or not.

Since I was little, I was a rebellious child. I enjoyed teasing my classmates, I even laughed along with my classmates at my best friend, I lied, stole things, all and all hideous stuffs that a bad kid would do. When I grew up to be a teenager, I was no better than when I was a kid. My temper got shorter and shorter as I spend my terrible years of highschool. I've been through a lot of horrible stuffs that I prefer not to talk about.

But somehow I did have hope in God, I always knew that someone who is very powerful controlling everything we do and anything that happens to us. I started to know about Jesus Christ when I came to Russia. I remember once, I watched a movie that was portraying the Passion of Christ. At that time I never knew who that person was and what he did that people killed him for, I only cried. Eventually I started to know about Jesus Christ thanks to my mum. And I remember she used to have a bible(only recently I knew it WAS a bible), she told me that whenever she tried to read it she felt sleepy and also told me that only people with pure heart can read it without feeling sleepy. Since I love to show off, I tried reading the bible (only to skip more than 2/3 of it). But because of that I learned that Jesus Christ was God.

Many times when I called upon him, I was saved. Once I was little I was lost in the huge market that currently is closed down by Russian government. It was so huge that it would take you a 1 week to see the whole market. It was a miracle that I found the way back to my mum. I was 6 or 7 years old I think, that time my mum and I got out of the bus. I waited for her to pay for the tickets, and suddenly I saw a very cute bag with a cat key chain on it. Like a child I followed that bag unconsciously, and when I looked away I didn't know where I was. I was terrified but was too scared to cry out for my I just kept on walking and walking. I was too scared and shy to ask people around for the more I walked the further I was lost.....and I was hopeless, walking and crying....And so I remembered Jesus Christ, and I cried in my mind "Jesus Christ, I want to go home!" on and on I went on in my head. Then after like 30 minutes I looked and found my mum's shop. I was SHOCKED! And relieved....I run there and I found nobody cause obviously my parents were looking for me. That was one of all the miracles Lord did for me.

But that is not the testimony I want to share with you. To go on, when I was a teenager I always rebuked my parents words, I was a complete pessimistic about life, no hope, no reason to live, and just a complete EMO girl. I believe any of us that has been through that stage or is going through that stage would understand what I mean. Eventually, I started to cosplay cause I really loved the attention I get when cosplaying. But my parents were completely against it. So one day, I was staying up late around 4AM I think. My dad got out of the bed and saw me still up. He shouted at me and started lecturing me which then woke my mum up....And she did the exact same thing. I chose to ignore their words and went on doing my stuff. And at that moment my mum said that if I ever cosplay again she's gonna kick me out of the house. And my nerves just hit the line....whenever the anger inside me gets too much for me to handle I crack...literally CRACK.... I start to breath insanely like I was about to die....then I just dropped dead on the ground(physically).... I was consumed with despair that my mind refuse to move my body....
So at that time, I felt hopeless. Cosplay was one of the only reason I wanted to live, cause I had friends, I had goals I wanted to achieve, if even that slightest thing I was not allowed to do then what is there a reason for me to live? I was not allowed to study what I wanted, thanks to my mum I stopped drawing when I had such potential. So I just lied there hopelessly in despair. Then I said in my mind "Oh, Father! Please show yourself to me so I would have a reason to live!". Tears were running down my cheek and I kept saying it inside my mind. And seconds later I SAW HIM!!! I literally SAW HIM!!!! I didn't saw him like I would see somebody standing in front of me. I just saw his figures' outline. I thought I was imagining things or it's just a mirage. I closed my eyes tightly and opened it again, and yet he was still there. I didn't see him clearly but I KNEW it was him. I was somewhat HAPPY, I didn't know why but I felt so peaceful and safe. I wish the image wouldn't disappear and I tried to hold my eyes open as long as I could. And he didn't disappear when I thought he would. The image stayed there till I had fallen asleep. The next morning I never thought specially of that experience and just thought of it as a dream, not until I saw the Shroud of Turin. (click on the link to see the photo)…
I was SHOCKED!!!!! I was like " going on? I...I saw him....I saw him!". To tell you the truth, I was scared....I just couldn't believe it. And once I saw online a video of a guy who also witness something similar to me but in rather vivid vision. And he TOO saw Lord's face and it looked just like the one in the Shroud of Turin! So at that moment I knew that, this was no coincidence or my only plot of imagination. I believe it with all my heart that Lord DID appear to me, he DOES care for me if not he wouldn't appear and give me the reason and hope to live. HE IS THE TRUE MESSIAH!!!!

Like I wrote earlier, it is my testament and I'm NOT TRYING to CONVINCE you to believe in it. You choose to believe it or not. I don't have so much freetime to just sit around and make up this FREAKEN LONG journal entry OK? There are many other people who have witness or saw the vision of Jesus. If you want more, you can check out this… . It will tell you about what is REALLY going on IN HELLl! And again, it is all your choice to either walk the path with the God who loves you or keep on walking the path of a lost lamb! May the Holy Spirit touch your heart and your soul. Amen!
I wrote this as my testimony of Jesus Christ. I didn't make this up since I'm not interested in doing so. I didn't write this to convince you in believe in Him nor to force you to believe in Him! God gave you a choice to live your life according to your will. Or else why would God had that apple tree in the Garden? Because he loves us, and he is the best Father you could ever have! Parents usually control you in everything you do no? But Lord give us a choice, Yes he does tell us that is wrong! But we keep on doing that anyway....He knows that is wrong and it would get you killed but he also doesn't want to take away your freedom of choice! It's your life and you choose how you want to live it. Either to live a happy eternal life with him in Heaven or to live in Hell where hopelessness roam and demons have completely NO MERCY on you but the pure hatred! Do you know that if you enter hell, no matter how hard you cry out to him you cannot get out of there? Because you have wasted your chance to live eternally in Heaven, and choose to live Godless way! And it shall be your life because only in Hell, Jesus Christ will not exist for you! Without Jesus Christ, you have no hope!

'I can't do it anymore!
They say such mean things.
I can no longer breathe with this pain.
I'm gasping and choking and vomiting.
God, why can't they just stop?
Can't they just accept...
Accept that I love another man?'

'Life is cruel, but I am your freedom.
Taste the lavender of my beauty.
I am flawless, I am kind.
Sink your teeth deeply into my bones.
Run your drying tongue against my neck.
Feed on the power that I offer your pain.'

'They hear but they do not see;
the breaking of my tender heart.
Am I grounded from love?
Is society so one minded?
I have no answers, but so many questions.
I long... so desperately long for the truth.'

'I can feed you lies so delicious-
That lemon-cream pie would taste tasteless.
You will come away full and content.
With the touch of my burning skin.
Just take my crooked fingers,
Follow my violent lead to this solution.'

'I stare into the empty spaces.
Only one solution screaming in my ear.
I feel my heart bleeding, signing, crying.
I'm gasping and dying, gasping and dying.
No other choice, no other way out.
The pain is killing me, this mockery, the noose.
Suicide is my freedom.'

'Come, take my hand, take my hand.'
I'll lead you where pain lasts forever.
Don't be afraid, for it'll be too late.'

'This isn't the key,
It wont set me free.
I need a Holy King.
A Savior Divine and true.
Someone who will love me,
For me.
Jesus, where are You?'

"Come My son, you are redeemed.
I bought the pain, the sorrow and the shame.
I love you for you, the cost is Christ.
Come into My arms dear child.
I'll hold you tightly for awhile.
See past the lies, for My truth is free.
The choice is simple, just believe."

Day nineteen of the National Poetry Writing Month.

Last night after the Spoken Word Showcase that I'm helping film the new co-host (who is a renown poet) and I were talking about poetry and that I am also a writer etc. He said he had something for me and pulled out this book that he'd just come out with. It's got over 1000 writing prompts and challenges to write about. It's really cool.
Anyway, after midnight I was skimming through it before bed and landed on the writing prompt. 'Write about a gay teen having a conversation with suicide.' I instantly had inspiration for writing it so I quickly wrote it before bed.
And of course, sense I'm me, I had to add a Christ angle to it. (it was that or let suicide win, which wasn't going to be the flow)
It was actually fun writing, took less then 10 minutes to write.

Note, I'm against gay marriage (as you can see on my profile) but I believe in loving the person in-spite of the sin. For Jesus hates the sin but loves the person. I won't stand for the act or push of gay rights, I'm CLEARLY against it. but I do understand the pain, heart ache behind most people on that path...

Anyway, I'm going to love this book, especially sense I've been becoming more challenged with prompts lately. It has already helped with one day. So if anyone needs more prompt just let me know and I'll send ya some. ^^

Critiques are welcome.

James 2:14-26, NKJV [link]

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

There is a balance between works and faith in Christianity. While it is made clear that Christ is our only way to gain eternal life with God, Christians also seem to forget that our faith calls us to action not for our own good, but for the glory of God and for the betterment of our fellow humans; they even seem hostile to people who encourage them to do some form of good works. There are also, sadly, many Christians who are deceived into thinking that they are better than others simply because they donate more money, and then make sure that mere faith is not enough to save them.

However, Peter and Paul had strong faith in Christ and helped the early Church grow through their actions. Even today they are an inspiration! Because of their faith, their works had true meaning and potential; because of their works, they were able to grow in their faith in God and spread that wonder to others.

Faith and works go hand in hand, and both are needed to have a genuine, growing, truly loving, relationship with our Creator and to forever be with Him in Heaven.

Peace be with you. :)

Also, note that I am not saying that people who are not Christians are wasting their time volunteering and doing other charities; I mean, the people they are helping are certainly benefiting, and I love it when I see non-Christians doing God's Will. Without faith, the good works that non-believers do are in themselves good, but they are not meritorious.

Thought of not putting this up but then i realized that there are still people out there who need to know who the true superhero is.

:iconjenteelability: : <quote>"Awesome...the embrace as if the girl has been lost and finally comes face to face with Jesus... her hero... the hug of this loving superhero is amazing, like a father. The use of lots of polished white reminds me of purity as also having a child being embraced. "Let the children come unto me", said Jesus. The folds and shadows in the clothes are great."</quote>

I don't own the image. I just find it cute and I got inspired.
This image belongs to, the text inside the heart was originally "love".

I just remember Jesus after seeing this and just thought of the text. He will be forever in my heart. ♥

The Artist’s Prayer

Dear God
I thank you

For You have blessed me
You have chosen me
You have given me purpose

I thank You for my gift
For because of its purpose
It is as valuable as the gift of life

With the gift of song You placed in me
The world will sing of Your glory
The lost will sing of Your grace for they are saved
The sick will sing of your mercy for they are healed

Through the gift of writing with which you lead my hands
The world will read of You awesome power
They will read poems of Your never ending love
They will read stories of how You raise the dead

In the pictures and paintings that You inspire me to make
People will see how beautiful all Your creation is
They will see those thousand words which glorify Your name

Lord I thank You for my gift
This amazing talent You have placed upon me

Then I ask that Your hand lead me
Your Holy Spirit guide me
To use this gift only to your honour

I ask that You use this art of mine
To reach those who have gone astray
To let the gospel of Jesus Christ be spread through this work

Father, Spirit, Son
You are my inspiration
And my soul seeks to praise You

I give You thanks

I believe that all our talents come from God and they have a great purpose serving Him through praising Him and spreading the gospel.

So give thanks and make sure to do His work. :)

Please if you look at this leave some sort of comment. This and my other Christian pieces (check them out too please as well as the message on my front page in my journal) are not so much about the art but the message in it. So please I would like to know what you think and especialy if this touched you in anyway.

Yes, I am a Christian.
That doesn't mean I'll be showing up on your front porch
Waving a Bible in your face screaming "Have you heard?
Heard the Good News?"

Yes, I am a Christian.
That doesn't mean I'll condemn you to hell for drinking that glass of wine,
Telling you to treat your body like a temple and keep it pure.
Jesus Christ drank wine, didn't he?

Yes, I am a Christian.
That doesn't mean I'll be picketing your home, your work, your friends
Just because your beliefs don't agree with mine.
That's a little childish, right?

Yes, I am a Christian.
That doesn't mean that I devote my Sundays to God, turn off the phone,
TV and light and read my Scriptures by daylight.
I'm a college student. We call Sunday the "day of catching up."

Yes, I am a Christian.
That doesn't mean that I will spit on you because you deign to walk down the street arm-in-arm or hand-in-hand with a member of the same sex.
God created us all equal, didn't He?

Yes, I am a Christian.
That doesn't mean that I can't accept you just how you are.
One of the first lessons we learn in Church is love for each other and ourselves.
Christ died on the cross for us.  Can't we love our neighbor?

Yes, I am a Christian.
I'm not perfect, better than you or first in line to get to Heaven
(To tell you the truth I'm more like 4,476,658,578th or so).
But I love you like a friend, I believe you have merit no matter what you believe.

Yes, I am a Christian.
I might fall, lose faith and curse the Heavens whenever things don't go my way.
I'm in no way a perfect person, but I know that I am blessed.
Because, despite all my imperfections, I am loved by a perfect God.
Just something I wrote after doing research for a class. I found a website, Conservapedia, that really makes me angry because it has that elitist Christian attitude that I can't stand. And I started thinking about what kind of Christian I am, and well, this poem was born. What do you think?

Psalm 22
New Living Translation (NLT)

Psalm 22

For the choir director: A psalm of David, to be sung to the tune “Doe of the Dawn.”

1 My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?
Why are you so far away when I groan for help?
2 Every day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer.
Every night you hear my voice, but I find no relief.

3 Yet you are holy,
enthroned on the praises of Israel.
4 Our ancestors trusted in you,
and you rescued them.
5 They cried out to you and were saved.
They trusted in you and were never disgraced.

6 But I am a worm and not a man.
I am scorned and despised by all!
7 Everyone who sees me mocks me.
They sneer and shake their heads, saying,
8 “Is this the one who relies on the LORD?
Then let the LORD save him!
If the LORD loves him so much,
let the LORD rescue him!”

9 Yet you brought me safely from my mother’s womb
and led me to trust you at my mother’s breast.
10 I was thrust into your arms at my birth.
You have been my God from the moment I was born.

11 Do not stay so far from me,
for trouble is near,
and no one else can help me.
12 My enemies surround me like a herd of bulls;
fierce bulls of Bashan have hemmed me in!
13 Like lions they open their jaws against me,
roaring and tearing into their prey.
14 My life is poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart is like wax,
melting within me.
15 My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay.
My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.
You have laid me in the dust and left me for dead.
16 My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs;
an evil gang closes in on me.
They have pierced my hands and feet.
17 I can count all my bones.
My enemies stare at me and gloat.
18 They divide my garments among themselves
and throw dice[a] for my clothing.

19 O LORD, do not stay far away!
You are my strength; come quickly to my aid!
20 Save me from the sword;
spare my precious life from these dogs.
21 Snatch me from the lion’s jaws
and from the horns of these wild oxen.

22 I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters.[b]
I will praise you among your assembled people.
23 Praise the LORD, all you who fear him!
Honor him, all you descendants of Jacob!
Show him reverence, all you descendants of Israel!
24 For he has not ignored or belittled the suffering of the needy.
He has not turned his back on them,
but has listened to their cries for help.

25 I will praise you in the great assembly.
I will fulfill my vows in the presence of those who worship you.
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied.
All who seek the LORD will praise him.
Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.
27 The whole earth will acknowledge the LORD and return to him.
All the families of the nations will bow down before him.
28 For royal power belongs to the LORD.
He rules all the nations.

29 Let the rich of the earth feast and worship.
Bow before him, all who are mortal,
all whose lives will end as dust.
30 Our children will also serve him.
Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord.
31 His righteous acts will be told to those not yet born.
They will hear about everything he has done.

This is a white t-shirt and I spray painted the cross in the reddest red I have, to look like blood.
Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we can be saved from eternal damnation.
Any questions about that please ask. (:

And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

He said, Bring them hither to me.

And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34

Take no thought for the morrow, for the time to come. Be not anxious for the future, how you shall live next year, or when you are old, or what you shall leave behind you. As we must not boast of tomorrow, so we must not care for to-morrow, or the events of it. God has given us life, and has given us the body. And what can he not do for us, who did that? If we take care about our souls and for eternity, which are more than the body and its life, we may leave it to God to provide for us food and raiment, which are less. Improve this as an encouragement to trust in God.

Jesus tells the Parable of the Prodigal Son in part to teach us about a loving God who has run after a world turned away from Him. This shirt depicts the moment in the story where the younger son is returning home expecting condemnation and instead is greeted by his father running headlong toward him with forgiveness. God is running after his people in the world.  What began with one family in Abraham has spread to all the nations and will be complete as shown in Revelation.

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8

His love for us never changes, because He, Himself, never changes. My personal struggles often leave me wondering if what I've done has pushed Him away, or if the problems in my life are proof that He's abandoned me for good...but every time I call out to Him, He's there; filling me with hope, and peace, and strength. And reminding me that He still loves me...and always will.

More Bibleman fan-art for the show's 20th anniversary (1995-2015). This picture is focused on the trio of heroes consisting of the original Bibleman; Miles Peterson, his second sidekick Cypher, and the new recruit Biblegirl. Together in 2001's "Breaking the Bonds of Disobedience", they formed the Bible Adventure Tea OH GOSH, I forgot about their computer U.N.I.C.E. SO yeah, not a trinity, more of a foursome. Years later, Miles would retire and be replaced by Josh Carpenter.

Bibleman was owned by Pamplin Entertainment & now is property of B&H Kids.

More art can be seen in the :iconbiblemanclub:

P.S. It would've been nice if a theatrical Bibleman movie came out this year, or ten years ago, or even next year...

And so the little girl pulled up a small comfy wooden chair for Him to sit.

After she made sure that He was comfortable, she sat down on the floor in front of Him and pulled out from her pocket a small notebook and a yellow box.

She poured out the box and out came rolling beautiful colored crayons.

She picked a lovely shade of green and then flipped her notebook open, filled with questions she had prepared earlier.
With an enthusiastic gaze she looked up to the Man and began to ask her first question.

“Let’s begin, shall we? What’s Your name, Sir?”, she asked politely.

With a gentle smile the Man answered,

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

Here's my Christmas picture to wish everyone a Happy Christmas. It came about because of a beautiful song of which I will put the lyrics to here. If you can, go listen to it. I recommend James Taylor or Kenny Loggins.

Some children see Him lily white
The baby Jesus born this night
Some children see Him lily white
With tresses soft and fair.
Some children see Him bronzed and brown
The Lord of heav'n to earth come down
Some children see him bronzed and brown
With dark and heavy hair.
Some children see Him almond-eyed
This Saviour whom we kneel beside
Some children see Him almond-eyed
With skin of golden hue.
Some children see Him dark as they
Sweet Mary's Son to whom we pray
Some children see Him dark as they:
And, oh, they love Him too.
The children in each different place
Will see the Baby Jesus' face
Like theirs but bright with heav'nly grace
And filled with holy light!
O lay aside each earthly thing
And with thy heart as offering
Come worship now the infant King:
'Tis love that's born tonight.

lyrics by Alfred Burt

Happy Christmas, everyone!

Wow... this is one popular tattoo design of mine isn't it?

Well, this is the yin to the yang of the Death Demon tattoo I did a while back... that many seem to like.

As always, if you get this tattoo for yourself please send me a pic of the tattoo and give me the credit for the art. I am over 21, so don't be bashful if you gotta show a little skin when you send the pic of where you got this tattoo on your body. I'm an artist for crying out load. I've seen every inch of the human anatomy.

You must get well, my dear friend....
We know you are strong...I'm sure you can overcome this....

There are still many things that we want to do together...there are so many dreams that we want to make it come true....

Built this by myself at Ocean Beach San Francisco. Took me five hours to build, although I did start on a pile that was already there. The concept was based on the idea of God creating Adam out of the dust of the earth. Which I found to be appropriate for a medium like sand.

Hello You
I figured that since our group is getting bigger and bigger, I should reward us all with a little poetry... But not just any old poetry, this piece is really something special (in fact, I made it my cell phone wall paper) and it has answered many questions for me, as well as for other people that ask why I am a Christian.

"When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say. "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow."
— Maya Angelou

I really love this one. Past it around, save it in your notes, and think of this when you need a little lift. I love you all :glomp: and have a great day!

When you're alone and scared,
look out the window,
see the frost, the snow,
the falling snowflakes
and remember
I will always be there.

The man in the moon
is always watching,
protecting you.
Let his light shine down
on you to guide your way.

I love you always,
my darling little
snow angel.
I may not always be around,
but as long as I live,
I will love you.

Each and every snowflake
is made just for you,
my little snow angel.

See my wondorous works
and think of me,
your one and only
Jack Frost.

So lay your head down,
my sweet little angel
and close your eyes.
Dream peaceful, beautiful dreams
of falling snow and
swirling cold winds
blowing through your hair.

You will always be
my precious little angel.
EDIT: OMG I am shocked at all the faves and views this has gotten. I'd like to thank each and everyone who has faved and viewed it, but as I am too lazy to go around to everyones page, I'll just give my thanks here. Soooo.... Thank you all so much :iconawwwplz: I never expected this to be this popular ^^ And for those just now reading it, thanks for adding to it. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate the attention for this one. I appreciate every comment, every fave, and every view. Thanks again :D

I was going to post this later but I can't wait XD Anyways this is Jack Frost's lullaby to his daughter with my OC Miyuki Winters. I can see him holding little Yuki Frost and singing it to her, but I can't really see him coming up with it XD Speaking of coming up with it, this is my first song/lullaby I've ever written. I'm used to writing poetry, so I figured it's not much different. But if it doesn't flow well as a song, that's why XD I tried really hard though, I was even singing it as I went to see how it flowed XD I first tried to find a winter themed lullaby that was already out there but I gave up after a while when I could find anything suitable, so I didn't have much of a choice XD

I will post the fanfic later as soon as I start writing it. It's still swirling around in my head, waiting to get out XD Unfortunately I don't have time to at the moment to sit down and concentrate on it. This way though I can think of story plots still for when I am ready to.

I would go into more details about the story but I don't really want to give much more away XD So I'll leave this here and hope people like it. And if anyone has any suggestions to make it better, please tell me, I'm open to any criticism as I know this probably isn't the best ^^

Jack Frost and Rise of the Guardians belongs to Dreamworks and William Joyce Though I totally wish he did belong to me XD *shot*
Miyuki Winters, Yuki Frost and the lullaby itself belongs to me

I pick up the knife and place it against my skin.
I realize what I'm doing and put it down.
But I hurt so much.
I want the pain gone.
So I pick up the knife again.
Only to put it down again.
I do this several times.
Finally I put the knife back in the drawer and close it.
I breathe a sigh of releif.
I won this time.
But how long will it be till I lose?
Even as I was putting the knife down,
I wanted to place it against my skin and follow through with it.
I wanted to so badly.
But I know better than that.
And I'm not going to escape pain using pain.
No matter how much I want to.
Harming myself is not the answer.
It's not the answer for anyone.
This is a message for everyone who may be tempted to.

You are loved.
You are wanted.
You are perfect the way you are.
Using pain to kill pain is not the way to solve things.
Write a story, talk to a friend.
Talk to anyone.
Just don't harm your self.
And never kill yourself.
It may seem like the easy way out,
But you will have wasted your life.
No matter how hard things are for you.
It will get better.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Jeremiah 29-11

When He said, "plans to prosper you," He meant that He would use you to do great and amazing things.
That He would use you in his plans.
That you would be SAVED.
When He said, "and not to harm you," He did not mean that your life would be perfect, that you would not suffer.
But that in the end He was going to get you through this, in one peice.
That you would be SAVED.
When He said, "plans to give you hope," He meant that He would always be with you and that He would never leave you to fend for yourself.
That in the end, this life is to SERVE THE LORD, and the reward will be great.
That you would be SAVED.
When He said, "and a future," He meant AFTER THIS LIFE.
That you would be SAVED.

He does indeed have plans for you.  And He loves you unconditionaly.
That is proven by the fact that He is always SAVING you.
If you don't belive anything I've said already, then take me as an example.
He's using my pain to spread His word.
He has been speaking through me as I wrote this.
And it's true.  All of it.
I can feel that God is telling me what to say.
I'm not the one saying this.
I started writting this to express my pain, and in the end it was ALL ABOUT GOD.
It's true. All of it. Every word. This is definitely one of my favorite's. Hope you guy's like it!

"Your words were found and I ate them. And Your words became a joy to me and the happiness of my heart. For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of All."
Jeremiah 15:16

I really love this verse, I feel very identified with this Bible verse, lately I've found the Bible like a treasure to my life and it has become more important than my college (I'm not studying something easy it's chemical engineering), every day I arrive early to my school and before my homework I go to the library and I carry my Bible with me and I read it, then if I have time I do my hw, but every day the Bible has become a really important part of my life, I feel I can not have a day without reading it.

I hope all of you have the same feeling about the Bible :)
