But, not the

Stark, snowy, riveting white.
His hair was always victim to the static that came from
the mountain of pillows that topped off his hospital bed.
He always lay there,
a beacon in the middle of the dark, mudd brown, living room.
I suppose it was hell to live the last of his life there,
but at six, I thought he was God,
living on a cloud that was Heaven.
I remember his warm hands, their blue lines, and their wrinkles,
the way his smile never met his eyes--
and his eyes said he had more in his mind than his mouth could say.
I would study him for hours while he slept,
Hoping he would wake up, be glad that I was there to cure his loneliness,
and give me secrets to the world.
Once in awhile, I was lifted to the wintery heights of his bed,
Set beside him to talk.
And his warm hands would cup over mine,
Whilst I told him about the dandelio
FFM - Week ThreeWow... We're into week 4 now.... This is getting intense and it is showing in my work! So this week it wasn't work that held me back but that I wasn't at home. I was off visiting my parents but I brought my tablet and keyboard which meant I could keep workingMore Like This
So... My favourite piece this was The Moon Marshes. This sparked something completely new in my mind and I genuinely want to run with this and so some serious work on the characters, world and plot so stay tuned if you enjoyed that
And the people's favourite this week (the one with the most s) was Blue and I'm quite happy it was. I really enjoyed writing this piece and had loads of fun with the characters.
Once again, this week has not been a complete success and I want to come back to several pieces but here they are:

And since I was hoping to do another feature, I'd like to start by linking you all to her Aurora series. http://rainbowmonkeh.deviantart.com/gallery/49435231/Aurora-Co If you're in an apocalyptic fiction kind of mood, I would definitely check her gallery out. Here are a few of my favorites:
I'd also like to feature some more of the flash fiction pieces I've been enjoying this month. If you're in the mood for some flash fiction, (and this is just a very small portion of the wonderful pieces being written this month) I hope you'll give these a chance:
Red, Yellow, and BlueToo poor to purchase more art supplies, I learned to paint only with primary colors; I covered canvas after canvas--or reclaimed wood when it was a choice between painting or eating--with saturated sentiment. Canary yellow was the color of the dress you wore the day we met--and it harmonized perfectly with your straw colored hair--while cadmium red matched both your tempting scarlet lips and the fire I saw in your eyes. But ultramarine blue didn't suit you, and I never once used it until the day God or Guilt or some Guy stole you from me.More Like This
