Purring ChristmasMore Like This
It was a cold morning on the day before Christmas. People were running all over the pedestrian zone in the middle of the shopping district, trying to get their last minute shopping for tomorrow done. Portable stalls had been set up selling all kinds of sweets or hot wine punch. Not a single house had been left blank and most of them were overflowing with reindeers, Santas and all kinds of lights. It had snowed several nights in a row now, thus most people outside were wrapped up in several layers of clothing to avoid the harsh cold and the occasional snowball thrown by an overzealous kid. The whole town was in a festive mood and many could barely contain their excitement for the next day.
However, as it is so often, people tended to overlook what they did not want to see. In this case that was the little boy that sat on a few pieces of cardboard, an empty cup on the ground next to him. Every time someone passed near him, he would try to get their attention and b
