What are Mobians?More Like This
Mobians (or Mobo-Sapiens) are mutated, evolved descendants of the former animal kingdom of Earth, existing on the planet Mobius. They were created as a bi-product of the Xorda's Gene Bombs, which lead to the mutation of the planet's inhabitants. Unlike Overlanders, Mobians tend to be far more open and accepting of other species on the planet. Mobians consist of a large variety of species from the former animal kingdom. Although the dominant species on the planet, Mobians have suffered nearly twelve years under the brutal rule of Dr. Ivo Robotnik and later his alternate-universe self Dr. Eggman, knowing only a brief period of peace following the former's demise and the latter's arrival to Mobius Prime. In 3237 however, the Eggman Empire suffered a series of setbacks, and although it maintains control over most of the planet, many Mobians remain safe in New Mobotropolis and other parts of the world, as Eggman allowed his regional Sub-Bosses to go unchecked due in part from his fixation o
Captive MindMy mind is my prisonMore Like This
I've no place to go
no outlet, no vision
or emotion to show
except what has been so carefully put
in the core of my brain and held there tightly
this numb sense of a life lived in full
with truth as a guide, I experience nightly.
The same visions always push and pull
plaguing my consciousness without end
they tear all I know to be true asunder
leaving me to try to fend
for myself as I only blunder
through my experiences one after another
I only see mistakes and heartache
that have hurt all I love, from my friend to my mother
all I leave is devastation in my wake
these are the visions that play inside my head.
Plaguing my consciousness without end
my mind is my prison
and I am the captive, the warden, the key
to unlock the human inside of me
within and without
swim faith and doubt
while I contemplate what little I have left
behind me, what future lay ahead
to look forward to, my eyes bereft
of sight, filled only with dread.
My eyes are clouded with m
DespairAcross the bellowing sky comes abroad and leads to a road, full of longing screams and cries, with voicesMore Like This
Telling curious souls not to go farther for they will become perished with bellowing plagues accustomed
To the lurking sonnets, hoping such ones will come to take away their sins, and free their lost locked
Away minds, a recipe for despair over scourges the land, blinding already swelled bloodied eyes, such
Burning emptiness enters into this road of vile obscenities, only to swallow those up ablaze who are
Weak and inferior, whose hearts have already bursted open being liable to suffer….
In The DaylightMore Like This
In The Daylight
A false downfall
An unexpected revival
Sunset to moonset
Shining through darkness
In the valley of promises- I will fear no end
On the brink of weakness- I will ascend
Roads of the toughest
Paths of the darkest
I conditioned my flawed limits
So fearful memories won't be paralytic
I had to raise my own spirit
Strength and endurance become so vivid
A chance for change / A moment of fate
A time to make peace / A brief feeling of creed
A sealing of my slate / A silencing of my mistakes
A secret ready to be freed / A chain soon-to-be incomplete
Pain and peace are infinite
Judge the wrath of the wicked
Victims can be vengeful or forgiving
Prolific tears are forever listening
To the cryptic lyrics that layout life's experiences
A few simplistic words can become so endearing
And I start again
Journey to faith's endI was blindedMore Like This
black matter invading my mind
visions of hell and thereafter
I cried for the so called Savior
I was dancing
an infinite waltz, a never ending battle
I feared the sunrise would hold naught
I feared to fall inexorably
I was naive
my faerie-tale sensibilities clouding me
always having been enlightened
I was fading
I am pure
filtered of the filth and lies
my eyes burn
away the divine truth.
gunpowder eyesI know you.More Like This
You know me.
these lines define us,
collecting our fates with intervention and desperation.
you used to chew sweet gum when watching the stars,
laughing with bitterness caught in the edges.
your eyes were always like gunpowder,
but rimmed with hollowed tears & violent eye liner & senseless fear.
You know me.
I know you.
your fingers were long and thin,
clutching the straps of your bag tight with unseen emotion.
they called you crazy when you were little,
and an abomination when you grew up.
was this where the madness began?
tangled up in your father’s embrace and scattered by the lack of mother’s care?
I knew you.
You knew me.
you had an obsession with capturing the unwanted books from libraries,
fixing their broken spines and repairing the neglect.
hair that was once so long and tangled you hacked off short,
with an embrace of scorn and battered resistance.
a woven constellation of stars and scars intersected upon a sharp pale collarbo
We Are MoreWe are not just writers.More Like This
We do more than weave words into pictures,
Coloring pages, splashing prismatic hues with only black and white.
We do not just twist and turn imaginations to our design.
We create connections. A bond between reader and character.
We create pain, joy, rage, sympathy...for people who don't necessarily exist.
We create an escape. A way out of a world that is too mundane or too tortuous to bear.
We share the numerous worlds in our minds, linking lonely souls through the stories from our passionate hearts.
We are not just musicians.
We do not just recite our thoughts with decorated rhymes.
We do more than strum a pretty chorus, a catchy tune.
We reach out to the world.
We bare our very souls, our very identity.
We extend our emotions, searching for kindred spirits,
Praying we are not alone. Praying someone else can understand the turmoil that life brings.
Bringing relief to those who also seek.
We are not just performers.
We do not just embody those who we are not.
Prior and FollowingUpon the ashen mountain, the rains pour of tasteless blood; bodies of stained silver burn, their trails glassed within a flood.More Like This
To those who have frozen deep, our contempt swallows dream-like despair, cleansed of a birth's negligence; we violate your resentful air.
Within you cries a somber child, one celled far north beneath the voices, release your pride and vomit your structures; those are two options, sift through the choices.
And here as displayed you remain untouched, a simple word of pity, not, to leave the memories and bleed of surrender; your choice is made, farewell and rot.
