APPEARANCE ┈Her features are soft and delicate, though a rather judgmental gaze of jade falls upon those of the female sex. Brushwork of smoky gray refines the dip below her brow, a pricy mineral compound. Her lips appear finely painted with a ruddy sanguine, fading out at the corners to appear as the real shade. A cluster of ephelides sits upon her cheeks as a natural occurrence from birth, though it's not uncommon for a handful more to be spotted at a thigh or upon her shoulders when revealed.
The most prominent feature falls just past her calves; A dark, clouded slate-blue mop of hair. It's well tended to, as if brushing was a constant task, smooth to the touch, as a dove's wing. The elf's hair is styled with sharp layers, the left side framing her face, being cut just past her collar. Opposite side seems to be swept forward from the back, stopping just beyond the breast.
The Y'noeth's body is youthful, spry, and quite thin, possessing a statuesque frame with a commanding, almost authoritative presence. The years and efforts as a summoner have been quite forgiving on her figure, keeping much of the elegant curves in line and tame without much thought or consideration to it. She, however, seems to be held in distaste with this, and often shuns the fact, hiding her body with elaborate gowns, expensive furs, leathers. Save for the often-worn corset or bustle, she makes no effort to show off her figure.
It's not unheard of for her to sport baubles and trinkets upon her person, often intricately carved bands about her digits, an extraordinary pair of hand carved, jade bangles sitting upon her right wrist with a glossy finish, and on the rare occasion, a locket or string of pearls gently resting upon her collar. Rarely, if ever, will she be seen without a set of emerald baubles swinging from her ears, they are rather large, hanging mid of her neck. Each are cut into a sharp tear-drop, golden clasps pinning the pieces into place.
Wildflowers combine with the scent of warm sand and ocean air to produce the fragrance she carries, it seems to be of natural causes, as if the girl was recently exposed to the seaside.
PERSONALITY ┈Vesta, in short, is a very timid, impatient little thing. Violence is certainly not unheard of, but given the proper situation, the small elf will take no warning before fleeing to a corner. Despite this, her Oath gives way for excessive hatred, and frequent attacking of the same sex. She loathes other women with a passion that even the Gods themselves could not sate. Age, race, nor status with a mate matters not to her, they stand all one in the same, and she will attack without reluctancy if provoked, even in slight.
Yet, in that same regard, her fear of the opposite gender, and anything else inbetween, is unfathomable. Flinching, jumping, fleeing, all leading one to read that she's somehow long since developed a fear of being injured by touch, even the most gentle.
Her mind is not quite all there, in fact, one could say it's only gathered together in bits and pieces, held together by small, feeble wire. She is a victim to many mental disorders, one of the primary being that she is excessively bipolar, manic-depressive, with a hint of dissociative identity disorder, schizophrenia, and bears othello syndrome, with thanks to her Oath. Certainly there should be more, but as of yet, she has not been diagnosed further.
HISTORY ┈Vesta's parents, Basil and Saeryn, bore their first child with little luck, the baby had been a malformed stillborn, incomplete, despite reaching full term. In their desperate attempt for another, healthy child, Vesta was born a few years following. The child grew rapidly, though seemed to be much smaller than average for any child of her race. Alas, she remained fairly healthy, and rarely ever saw to sickness.
Despite what had seemed to be a steady, healthy relationship, Saeryn had begun to stray, stressing her relationship with her husband and child. Years passed before the woman eventually went mad with her lust to fulfill her Oath's desire, vanity, as it were. She sought out the love and approval of all, men, women, elderly, young, to her, it hadn't mattered. The mental strain of the Oath's wish had long since left her mind distorted and damaged.
She began crude comments to all around her, including her mate and child, and frequently spent her time elsewhere, likely at the bedside of another man.
Eventually, the woman grew ill, stricken with the sickness that followed succumbing to the Sin or Virtue you are bound to.. and she became bedridden for many, many years following.
Dilandau, a young slave boy, had been introduced to the family as well, to serve as Vesta's personal guard. He saw to defend her, bathe her, dress her, and so on. From which time, he had never left her side, and continues there still.
It was during this time that Vesta had been taken by the sacrament, taken very much against the will of her own and her father, Dilandau, as well. Children of the Oath are selected before birth, however, and there had been no choice for any of the involved.. and so she was taken, and bound, by blood, mind, and soul, to Mikau, a Leviathan born of Envy.
It was no less than weeks later, that Saeryn passed on, and sought to curse her family in her last bouts of insanity.. Vesta's father had been developed to loathe his brood, by Saeryn's will. From this he began to perform his testing and experiments on the young girl instead... Regardless of her actions, her behavior, or elsewise, he saw nothing but insanity in the child, and sought to 'fix' it. Trepanation, blood letting, chemical-seizure, and so on...
This torture reigned on for something around ten to fifteen years, before Dilandau, her guardian, had eventually grown furious enough to kidnap the poor child and flee with her to the sea-side town of T'sarnac.. He had sworn in blood to protect her, keep her safe, even if that were from the very man he'd sworn it to. For, you see, Dilandau had come to very much love Vesta, and his devotion to her saw compare to no other.
Thousands of years passed, and the two lived in solitude, days drawling, boring.. many relationships and many events passing between the years, though long since forgotten with time.
