The Last SongMore Like This
there were giants
where the sky
meets the sea
that used to sing
even in silence
with enchanted mermaid voices...
Lights come in pairs
in the secrets where I hide...
Wandering, between heaven and water
one eye aiming the shimmering stars
the other staring the depths
beneath my vibrant skin
below the translucent surface,
below the greens and all the blues...
the abyss awaits my solitude, forgetful of colours.
I am alone
completely alone in the vast universe
neither skies nor seas
will answer my pleas... my cries...
nor will they ever continue my unfinished songs
only echoes... replies… for a while
and after… only silence remains.

Much to say today, for a change, so let's get right to it. Firstly I'd like to wish a very warm, happy and beautiful Spring to all you folks in the Northern Hemisphere :iconhappysunplz: while here in Australia we are about to be plunged into :iconraindanceplz: :iconpuddleplz: Well at least, we hope so; the last time we had rain here in Perth (and for many, many miles around) was in October. I know some of you will have difficulty believing that, but it's true! It's been hot and dry and wonderful, but even this little Sun-Loving Aussie has to admit that we need a deluge for at least a month to refill our dams. The first rains always roll right off the ground and never sink in to water the plants - it takes a while for the soil to start accepting moisture again.
We've had 2 very exciting new additions to our family. Firstly the promised 'Puppy for Christmas' to my granddaughters from their parents. It
