I am wary of my following message not being received with the full gravity it deserves. It is not my intention to unduly alarm the deviantART community, but... LaurenKitsune is at this time unaccounted for. All attempts on our part to contact her have failed. It is my hope that she has simply taken a much deserved unscheduled pre-Halloween “vacation” and will be back in online communication soon.
Before going dark, LaurenKitsune was good enough to write and transmit a report on the Slender Man phenomenon sweeping the Internet. That report is published here fo
The Origin of Eyeless JackA young boy sat in the shade of a tree in his backyard. Not much could be said about him. He was a somewhat ordinary child with reddish brown hair and stunning hazel eyes. He had fallen asleep about an hour earlier while reading a book. Now his slim frame rested against the trunk of the large oak tree, his chest rising and falling as he breathed softly. A woman walked out the back door of the house that the yard belonged to and approached the boy. She smiled, placing her hand on his shoulder and shaking him gently. He opened his eyes a little and rubbed the left one with the back of his hand. “Well . . . Can I see it?” Luke eyed Ethan’s backpack, looking to see if there were any shapes that suggested a large book was in there.
“I left it at home, don’t want anything bad to happen to it.” Ethan informed him, to his disappointment.
“Well it’s been what, a week since you found it? I’m free today; can I come over and see it?” Luke asked hopefully, intrigued by it.
“Not today, sorry; I have some chores.” Ethan thought back to the situation at home, “Something
