Probably most of you already knows we lost one of our fellow artist last week, *kram666. As I'm not that good with words, I decided to use the Fractaling feature to gather all the nice thoughts people had for him.
I didn't know him very well, but I feel I should join the community with my condolences.

In Memory of Mark (kram666)We are sure many of you in the fractal world, here at dA, know of the terrible loss of one of the most amazing fractal artists *kram666. Mark was not only a fantastic fractal artist, but also a great friend to many and always full of the nicest things to say. I know I was always dumbfounded why he would ever fave any of my fractals when they never even came close to the work he did, but he was always full of encouragement and never once let a thank you go by without saying, "You're welcome." I know James and I will also miss the wonderful photos of his dear foxes, as well as his gentle free spirit that made dA a nicer place for so many of us. He will truly be missed by us all.More Like This
Every time we fire one up, we will be thinking of you, Mark!

One week ago was a sad day for the family of :iconkram666: and the deviant community.
He passed away at the age of only 48. Him who was so dedicated to digital art will never leave anyone of us a comment or reply to those given to him. He will never again fill our inboxes with his colorful fractals or cute photos of the foxes.
But even if his body has passed away - he will stay alive within us and within the art in his gallery.
I'm sure that he is somewhere where he can still appreciate our support of his art, so this is my hommage to a wonderful artist AND his family.

"This is Simon, Mark's brother, with the terribly sad news that Mark passed away last week.
This was a huge shock to us all.
I helped him set up his PC with all his drawing tools so knew how much he adored producing his bespoke digital artwork and how much the Deviant art community meant to him.
On his behalf I'd like to thank you all for the friendship and support you've shown and would ask you to pause for a minute at 14:20 on Monday 1st October. (British Summer Time)

Major new feature is the possiblity to cancel the current main render process because it is now running in the background. This was heavily demanded by many users and now it's finally done

- the main render function now is a background task which makes it possible to cancel it (currently only for internal renderer) and continue to work while -rendering
- removed the ancient spatial and color oversampling options (all user-defined quality profiles will be removed with this update!, if you face problems with noise use spatial and/or DE filter options)

- experimental tree to show flame properties for the dancing flame module
