Rex entered the training room. It was so quiet he could hear the silence, and combined with the red lights, the place had an eerie atmosphere. Rex looked around as he slowly made his way across the room. Suddenly, giant spikes began rising from the floor. Rex jumped out of the way and pressed himself against the wall. He looked up into the control room. He thought he saw a shadow.
"Knight, I need you to turn on the lights in here and lock the doors." He didn't want anyone interfering.
"Rex, I'm not so sure-"
"I've got this. Just do it." Seconds later the lights came on.
"Be careful kid." Rex started making his way through the forest of spikes.
"No freaking duh." he mumbled. He stopped when he was in the middle of the room. "I know you're here Aurora!" he called. He saw movement in the corner of his eye, but pretended it was nothing. "Why don't you stop playing hide-and-seek and finish what you started?"
Was he nuts? Rex should know by now to ne

Six grabbed a tree trunk and pulled himself up, but he was knocked back down when Aurora pounced. Six could do nothing; his limbs were pinned and he was overpowered. Aurora opened her jaws wide, giving Six a good view of her teeth. Her mouth suddenly snapped shut and she looked behind her. Rex had her tail with the Smackhands.
"Get away from him!" Rex shouted as he threw Aurora. She landed on her feet unfazed. I've got to get her away from Six Rex thought. He began to run towards Aurora, then altered his course so she was to his right, hoping she would follow. When he didn't hear her, he paused. It was silent. Rex looked around. Aurora was nowhere in sight. Rex stepped backwards slowly, watching the surrounding plants for movement. There was a rustle behind him. He turned, expecting Aurora to leap out of the brush. Something told Rex to turn back. He obeyed the instinct, and found Aurora jumping at hi

"Is she going to make it?" Rex. He sounded depressed and worried.
"Not if we leave her in this condition." Holiday. Wait, did she say 'in this condition'? What condition? What happened while I was out? And why did their voices sound muffled?
"Will she wake up?"
"I... don't know." A moment of silence.
"Call me if she does." A door opened and closed. That sound was muffled as well. But the only thing that can muffle noise from me is a thick barrier. Does that mean...?
I forced my eyes open. At first, everything seemed to be tinted yellow. Then I realized I was in one of those cylindrical containment units, the ones with tinted transparent walls. But why was I in here? I looked at Holiday. Her back was turned, and Caesar was beside her. They were working on something, but I couldn't make out what was on the many computer screens. Well, maybe one. It showed Nanites, but they appeared to be unstable. They pulsed randomly

Aurora was suddenly awoken by a high-pitched sound. It was from the whistle she had given the trainer. Knowing he was in trouble, Aurora jumped down from the top bunk and ran out of the room. In her rush, she didn't realize that Agent Vladimir wasn't in his bed.
Aurora followed the call outside when it stopped. It started again, but stopped shortly followed by a shout. Aurora pinpointed the noise. It was coming from a pit lined with EVOs, the Cage Aurora believed it was called.
She looked over the edge in time to see the commander punch a dragon with skeletal markings and triangles of energy lining its back. It appeared to be a male. He punched it again. The dragon responded by whacking the commander with its tail. The commander practically flew and landed on his back, to stunned to get up. The dragon formed an energy triangle in his front hand and threw it at the commande

Six strode through the halls of Providence on a task. He went to the training room. Seeing it was empty, he headed for the lab. After a quick look around, Six went up to Holiday.
"Have you seen Aurora?"
"In the Zoo." the doctor answered. Six then made his way to the Petting Zoo, slightly aggravated.
"Of all the places she could be, it had to be the Zoo." he grumbled. "Well, at least she's here." He marched through the doors. "Where do I start looking..." He paused. He wasn't bombarded by the usual sounds of EVOs running amok. Instead it was silent, except for some strange tune. It made Six feel relaxed. He went in the direction it was coming from. When the music stopped, the EVOs began their uproar, but he continued in the same direction. He found Aurora, tending to a plant. It was a Basiliskos flower. Six began walking quietly, slowly,
