Chapter 3 - Misunderstandings
Excited Stormpaw started bouncing again. Even Smokepaw did let go of his usual composure and ran wildly in circles.
"We go to the gathering! We go to the gathering!"
Lilypaw sat next to them and laughed.
"You will have lots of fun! It is really very interesting!"
Smokepaw stopped abrupt, his gray-brown fur was bristling with excitement.
"That's right! You were already there last moon! And, how was it?"
But before the she-cat had a chance to respond, Weaselfur Leopardstripe called for their apprentices. Since the attacks had begun Morningstar did not trust the truce enough to travel after dawn. The Moonclan left his camp always long before dark.
"Have fun at the gathering, " shouted Lilypaw happily and waved her tail, while Ashpaw watched his two lucky denmates rather enviously.
"You also have fun guarding the camp, " called Stormpaw over his shoulder and in the same moment he realized how misleading he must have sounded.
In fact, Lilypaw frowened at him.

Chapter 2 ~ Singing Cats
Stormpaw slammed his paws into the ground when he heard Sickleears shaky voice, and turned around. They had almost completely walked around the boundaries, and until now the she-cat had not made a sound. Stormpaw had been worried her memory would not come back.
"Sickleear, do you remember us?" he asked excitedly.
Clearly confused, the cat's head turned to him. "How am ... Why .. Who?"
Purring with relief Leopardstripe stepped up to her. "Finally you are your old self again!"
"My old self?" spat Sickleear. "What do you mean? What am I doing here?"
Stormpaw had forgotten how crabby the gray warrior could be. Alternately, the three toms told her what had happened.
"And you really can't remember anything? " Stormpaw asked, disappointed.
Sickleear shook her head apologetically and said, "unfortunately not."
That was hard. The apprentices had hoped for a detailed description of the attackers.
"Although there is something... I can't catch hold of it .

the lost warrior
"Great Starclan! Stormpaw, stop this annoying jumping immediately. I'm getting dizzy!"
But the little white and gray-spotted tom just laughed and ignored his mentor. He was too excited for sitting still. About three days Weaselfur was his mentor now, but he had already noticed that the tabby she-cat was hiding a true comedian behind an often harsh mask. She could snarl as loud as she wanted to, basically she was not angry and he knew that.
"What are we doing today? What we do ... "
Stormpaw suddenly broke off and sat down, at once completely relaxed and casual. At the corner of his eye he had spotted Lilypaw, walking over the clearing.
'No not "walking"!...she is "dancing"!!' he corrected himself with a moony smile on his face.
She was the most beautiful cat he had ever seen...even when he would never admitt to this. The tortoiseshell she-cat had become a apprentice a moon ago and Stormpaw did not want to risk, that she considered him as childish.

Prolog - A Message
Her chest puffed up with pride Dimflower walked out of the MoonClan's camp. Her brown eyes glistened in the moonlight.
Close behind her, a large black tom padded through the grass, Nightfog, her mentor.
'Former mentor' she corrected herself.
Just one night ago, Morningstar had announced her warrior name and now she was on her first patrol as a warrior. It was an old tradition that she be was accompanied by her former mentor.
"Well then, let's go!!!", she shouted and dashed into the meadow.
The meadow lead from the camp to the nearby forest, it was the ideal race track.
Nightfog purred in amusement about her exuberance, but in no way did he want to stay behind the young she-cat and sprinted after her.
"Is that all, lazy furball?", he meowed in her ear as he jumped with two huge leaps and passed her.
Dimflower cheered with joy and took up her last strength. With tremendous effort, she managed to overtake the black cat again. Four tail-lengths in front of him
