One day people will ask why a bounty hunter jumped from one galaxy to another to fight someone else's war. Tell them he was a Mandalorian. They'll understand.
Been a while since I made one of these. The image of silhouettes moving through the rain goes through my head every time I hear "All Along the Watchtower" and I had to do something about it. This almost ended up being a Vietnam War themed picture, but the Fett-Man called out to me and said, "Nah homie. It's my time to shine." I couldn't refuse.
I worked on this piece a few month back ^o^ posting it now !, hope u guys dig, I used more stylist proportions for this one trying to fit the riot style at the same time still keeping my style in there.
Left over copies of VI poster From ConventionsAvailable here Used: photoshop CS6
Box cover art done for "Imperial Entanglements" expansion set for Star Wars LCG by Fantasy Flight Games. FFG wanted Thrawn on the cover so this is what I submitted to them but for whatever reason they decided to change it to Lando for the final product.
Work done for the Pathfinder game book from Paizo Publishing. Done in PS cs2.
If you have the book you'll notice that this version is slightly different from the one in the book. This was suppose to be the final approved version but I'm not sure why they(publisher) opted for the unedited version.
More SC2 stories still coming out - Terran getting a look-in now!
Lost Vikings Erik Snabb did his time in the corps, but he got smart and traded in his wings while he still could. Going from being a fighter ace to being a loving husband and father took some getting used to, but Erik is handling it well… until the zerg threaten his home and his family once again.
Really enjoyed this one; it's a shame it always seems like such a bad idea to land Vikings on the ground! Hehe. A higher res wallpaper version can be found here as usual.
Another protoss ship for another short story - this time, the venerable Carrier!
Carrier Inspiring awe in their allies and sheer, naked terror in all who stand in their way, few ships are as recognizable as the protoss carriers. Even among these massive warships, the carrier Koramund is exceptional. But when his ship comes under attack by the zerg, a lowly protoss engineer must overcome unthinkable odds to save the Koramund from destruction.
Higher res wallpaper versions are available on the SC2 website. I really enjoyed this one; very inspired by John Berkey, and I tried to recall a sense of the original BW carrier along with some of the Starcraft 2 version's style.
It's been a few years so I decided to do another mistletoe . I am a little late but I never seem to have time until my holiday break to do personal works. This one I actually started over the summer but wasn't able to finish it until this last week. Enjoy and Happy Holidays. Also, for those of you who are not familiar with the theme, it is tradition to kiss "under" the mistletoe.
Quote: ďMy name is Zvezdochka. When your superiors ask you about this Mr. Bukowski, and they will. I want you to tell them that you got your entire detachment massacred by a twenty year old, five foot three, one hundred and twenty five pound girl named Starlet. And that it happened because you couldnít stop yourself from ******* and ********* one girl who challenged your authority.Ē
- Sophie McGillicuddy
Renegades of Destiny BK II - Tears Of The Earth
Sophie was born as Matilda Josephina Genevieve in the year 2349 to then, congress woman Ellena Genevieve. By 2361, Ellena Genevieve had become the last true president of the Martian colonies. It was in that year that the final battle against Earth was waged. On that day, Feb. the 20th, 2361, Mars fell to the Earth.
Matti Jo Genevieve was taken as a hostage shortly before her motherís ship was destroyed by the elite force known only as the Raptors. Her captors names were William (Kidon) Noventa and Norah (Archangel) Epstein. Once on their ship (the Raptorís Wrath), Matti Jo was brought before Toshiro Matsumoto- Vice President of the Martian Independent Confederacy.
There Matti learned that her mother had been betrayed by her administration so that they and their way of life could continue under that of the Earth and Emperor DeíSalazar. Toshiro Matsumoto was the new president of the Martian Provisional Government; which now, was little more than a puppet administration.
After that day, the question of what happened to Matti Jo Genevieve would be asked by a thousand tongues. On that day, Matti Jo Genevieve ceased to be and Sophie McGillicuddy was born. It was on that day, that Sophie swore, that she would have blood for blood for that which had been taken form her!
For the next four years, Sophie was made little more than DeíSalazarís play thing. However, as with all things, everything eventually comes to an end. After DeíSalazarís death and his son Guy Tsoongrenada DeíSalazar's ascension to his seat of power, William Noventa is given dispensation to right that which was wronged four years ago. He goes, he takes Sophie and he brings her back to the Raptorís Wrath. There, Noventa and his love, Norah Epstein help Sophie to try and recover her lost humanity.
Though they are her abductors, both Bill Noventa and Norah Epstein become surrogate parents to the young Sophie. They form an unbreakable bond with her. Thereafter, Sophie enters the academy and becomes a member of the OSI, the same as Bill and Norah. In so doing, Sophie becomes one of the deathliest assassins the Earth has ever known. She does this, in exchange for her very freedom from it, which above and beyond all else, is all that she truly desires.
Follow Sophie, Noventa and Epstein in Renegades of Destiny Book II Ė Tears of the Earth. Coming December 2014.
This was the first of these paintovers I did for Heroes of the Storm, to get a feel for how they were going to work out - enjoyed this one, too! Fun fact - I realised after the 2nd one that I probably shouldn't've had the rim light and key light coming from the same side >.< BUT by then I wanted them all to stay consistent so that was the way it ended up staying across the board.
Original Kerrigan model by Phill Gonzales, and textures by Ted Park. To let people know what exactly I did, by the way (since these aren't full paintings), I basically frankensteined screenshots of the heroes into the pose I wanted (which in some cases was easier than others, depending on the what poses they'd been animated into), and re-worked lighting over the top, as well as working out finer details over the somewhat lower-res in-game models, especially on the characters' faces. That said, we're currently re-working basically all of our heroes faces in 3d (with slipgatecentral doing a lot of the heavy lifting there) so that they hold up better in our in-game 3d portraits as well as in the shop UI on battle.net, so as the Alpha (and into Beta) carries on these updates should start coming online!
Next in the series of paintovers for Heroes of the Storm - and definitely my personal favourite hero to play, November Annabella Terra! Original model by Phill Gonzalesand textures by Ted Park, though her head has been since up-rezzed wonderfully by slipgatecentral.
It's beginning! We're about to have the first limited round of public alpha invites go out, and we get to start showing off some of what we've been doing lately! We just put up the first of a series of (semi?)regular Hero Spotlights on Tychus, complete with a pretty awesome trailer.
Original Tychus model by PhillGonzo and textured by Ted Park. Hit download for desktop res.
Original photo was taken at Cosplay Rush 4 but it was not good enough so I processed it a little Me as Jim Raynor, Mary as Sarah Kerrigan. Background wallpaper belongs to Blizzard or to some respective artists
I had a really good time on this, was very interesting having to play around with a completely different style - and I have to admit that I spent almost as much time on the calligraphy as I did on the rest of the painting.
