Capture the Flag that night promised to be fun. Campers against Hunters/magicians. I'd seen these kids from the so-called House of Life fight before and they were seriously impressive. It was definitely going to be one of the more competitive games.
The six kids refused to wear armor for various reasons, even a few I didn't understand like, "the residual life aura from the leather will interfere with our magic." Ultimately, I got the feeling that they just didn't want to look like idiots so we let it slide and assumed they could fend for themselves.
I briefly explained the rules. I assigned a Hunter to each of the magicians to help guide the kids in the woods. "The creek is the boundary line," I told them. "No killing, no maiming. Half the Apollo cabin decided to sit this out and they'll be serving as medics along with the satyrs. Play starts when the conch horn sounds."
