Alright, children, before I rant, here are my references to these beautiful traditional clothing worn by my beautiful OCs:
Mikkel Nielsen from Denmark (Minus the cool hat.)
Fritz Müller from Germany (Sort of stereotypical, sorry!)
Cecilia Novakova from Slovakia
Flavia Popa from Romania
Park Hyeon-Ji from South Korea (I suck at writing Korean names, so if there's a mistake on that one, call me out!)

Back to the point. What the literal fuck are you doing?

When I hear the words "white culture" together in a negative way, which one? Danish? German? Slovak? Romanian? Italian? Lebanese? Persian? Russian? Irish Which one? There are so many of them, be more specific!!!!

I'm Lebanese- American, and I often hear Middle-Easterns/Mediterraneans being clumped into the "PoC" group. Well, I hate to break it to ya, but we're white. We're just different shades of white you have no idea how wrong I was when I wrote that. True that the majority of us have "European" characteristics, but Arabs are a vey diverse panethnicity. For example, I know plenty of Arabs who are fair-skinned, blonde hair and/or blue eyes and I know plenty who are dark skin, dark hair and/or dark eyes. We differ in appearances so calling all of us "brown" is racist af.

Let me talk about my family and myself:
I, for example, have dark brown hair, but I vary from porcelain fair to dark beige tan, but most of the time I just have olive skin. I have hazel eyes mostly, but my eye color vary whenever, from light brown to green. My dad has light light blue eyes and my mom has dark brown eyes. My oldest sister also has dark brown eyes while my middle sister has light green eyes. My dad and my oldest sister get pale during the winter (like me) and although they get tan, they burn in certain parts of the body, like me. However, my middle sister and my mom get tan and stay tan every season. I have no idea how, but I'm pretty sure that my middle sister and my mom are the darker ones, while my dad and my oldest sister are the lighter ones. My dad's hair is graying out, my mom dyes her hair every 2 weeks (goes from light brown to red to dark brown) so she wouldn't grey out. My oldest sister and I have dark brown hair while my middle sister has light/dirt blonde hair.

The same goes with my family friends; they all have both tan and pale people in their families. This goes to pretty much all the people in Lebanon. The same goes with the other Arabs (again, don't forget that Arabs can be dark-skinned and/or black), and the Turks, Italians, Greeks, Albanians, Persians, Kurds, etc.

And "PoC", short for "People of Color"? Who came up with that?? Last time I checked, the term "colored people" was considered offensive, but switching around the order doesn't make it less offensive, so why is one way offensive but the other way isn't? Why can't we just acknowledge people as "white", "black", "latins", "Asians", "islander", "indigenous" etc.? I'm not saying that we shouldn't "see race". In fact, there is nothing wrong with acknowledging someone as different from you. I'm just saying that we're not split between "white" and "PoC". Another part is that the term "PoC" is used to describe people who were oppressed during history. Well, the Irish were oppressed, so are they considered "PoC" when they're white as snow? What about the Serbs, the Croats, the white Jews during Nazi Germany? What about the non-whites who oppressed people? Are they "white" according to your dumb logic? See, this stuff is the reason why Tumblr Social Justice gets laughed at; they trivialize oppression, which is by definition, unjust or cruel exercise of authority or power. In other words, it means that the authority take away your basic human rights.

Why, all of the sudden, there is stigma against white people?

Think of us as cats or dogs; they have different breeds of them, and so do we. We are all humans, just different shades of whatever we happen to have as our physical appearance. We're different and that's okay.

*Disclaimer: this is all coming from what I see, so if you want proof, I'll send you some.*

In school, I hated studying history. It was always measured by wars and territory. Congress passed this act. America is the most wonderful country on the planet. Yawn!

Finally, in grad school, someone presented history in a way that made it come alive. The story of humanity is not about evolving designs in weapons, but in a flow of thought and human experience. Mistakes, ideas, cultures, and feelings. A single teacher surprised and motivated me. I learned more from studying history in seminary than I learned fro any other topic.

Now, I'm reading "A People's History of the United States," by Howard Zinn. Never thought I'd read a book by that title! I'm not into the narcisism of patriotism, and many accounts of American history have been whitewashed. But, once again, history is making sense for me. Zinn is filling in the blanks.

It's good to feel that again. And, to use history -- a topic I'd always hated -- to step away, on occasion, from my everyday tasks.

I often think about what a different world this would be if America used her incredible wealth and power to relentlessly attack human misery, rather than countries with whom we disagree politically. Call me naive, but a foreign policy based on humanitarianism would serve us much better than one based on realpolitik and the need to serve the corporations and Wall Street.

When I saw the movie Frozen with the kids from my church my little buddy Ian was like, "Dude, why did they kill their parents." and I was "cause it's a Disney movie."

Kristoff is freaking out because Anna is willing to marry Hans, a guy she's known for at least a 3 minute song. It's funny because, not only because this is like a Disney princess signature, but Kristoff mentions he has friends who are love experts. These friends turn out to be trolls who try to perfom a marriage ceremony for Kristoff and Anna two minutes after he introduces her to them.

I know this kiss is the beginning of Anna and Kristoff's relationship and it takes place weeks after they've met, but this is a joke. It isn't to be taken that seriously. I am blown away by how angry people seem to get over this. I mean get a life. IT`S A JOOOOOOOOOOOOOKE!

Throughout my tutorials and news articles on deviantART I use a variety of methods to help format my text and insert images. It’s becoming quite common that people ask me how I have achieved one or more of these effects, so I thought that I would write a quick guide as it allows me to quickly and clearly pass on the information each time.

This tutorial covers basic HTML tags available on deviantART, as well as a number of site specific features. It is mainly designed for those unfamiliar with HTML or those new to the site, as none of it is particularly complicated once you find the necessary code and understand how to use it.

Basic text formatting

The majority of the text formatting on dA is done through HTML tags. A ‘tag’ has angular brackets with some text inside which corresponds with a certain function. Each command has an ‘opening tag’ (e.g <b>) which says when the formatting should start, and a closing tag (e.g. </b>) which states when it should finish.

In some cases there may be multiple tags which do the same formatting. You can find these instances grouped together.

:bulletblue: <b>Bold text</b> -> Bold Text
:bulletblue: <strong>Bold text</strong> -> Bold Text

:bulletblue: <u>Underlined text</u> -> Underlined Text

:bulletblue: <i>Italicized text</i> -> Italicized text
:bulletblue: <em>Italicized text</em> -> Italicized text

:bulletblue: <s>Striked text</s> -> Striked text
:bulletblue: <strike>Striked text</strike> -> Striked text

Text sizes

:bulletblue: <h1>Large (Header 1) Text</h1> ->

Large (Header 1) Text

:bulletblue: <h2>Large (Header 2) Text</h2> ->

Large (Header 2) Text

:bulletblue: <h3>Medium (Header 3) Text</h3> ->

Medium (Header 3) Text

The <h1>, <h2> etc codes only work in certain areas of dA. For example, they cannot be used in normal comments. They can however be used in journals and the artist comments sections of deviations.

:bulletblue: <small>Small text</small> -> Small text
:bulletblue: <sup>Superscript text</sup> -> Superscript text
:bulletblue: <sub>Subscript text</sub> -> Subscript text

The options for small text differ in their positioning within a line of text. Superscript will place it at the top the line of text, where as Subscript will align it with the bottom. Small will keep it in the normal position and simply shrink the text size.

Text positions

HTML also allows you to alter the position of text making it line up with the left, right or centre of the page. In each code the basic code is the same, and you simply swap the word show in bold to achieve the designed alignment.

:bulletblue: <div align="Option">Text to be aligned</div>

The for 'option's are:
:bulletblue: Left aligned - (default option) Text aligns with the left of the text area
<div align="left">Left aligned text</div>

:bulletblue: Center aligned - Text aligns with the centre of the text area
<div align="center">Center aligned text</div>

:bulletblue: Right aligned - Text aligns with the right of the text area
<div align="right">Right aligned text</div>

Notes:
1) This HTML only works in limited places on dA such as journals and custom boxes. It doesn't work in normal comments, the dAmn chatrooms etc.
2) The option to centralise text uses the American spelling of 'Center'. For those that use the British spelling, this is a common mistakes which stops the code working.

Multiple formatting

It is possible to apply multiple formats to a single piece of text. This is achieved by nesting the tags inside each other. For example

:bulletblue: <b><u>Bold and Underlined text</u></b> -> Bold and Underlined text

:bulletblue: Sup and Sub tags can be nested for even smaller text -> Sup and Sub tags can be nested for even smaller text

However, when doing so you have to look out for the order you place the closing tags in. If Tag 2 is nested inside Tag 1, closing Tag 1 before Tag 2 (e.g.<t1><t2>Text</t1></t2>) will also result in Tag 2 being closed. For example:

<b><u>Sample</b></u> Text -> Sample Text

The underlined text ends at the same time as the bold, as closing the outer bold tags will also close the inner underlined tags. If you wanted all text to be underlined you would either need to swap the bold and underlined tags over to the order <t2><t1>Sample</t1> Text</t2> or place the remaining text in its own set of underlining tags e.g. <t1><t2>Sample </t2></t1> <t2>Text></t2>.

Further HTML

deviantART supports a number of other HTML tags which can be used to help format text within deviations, comments and journals. However, as these are generally less used I have left them out of this tutorial.

If you wish to find out more then you can find an official FAQ on the subject here

Inserting links

Using a mixture of HTML and deviantART codes it is possible to link to web pages and dA profiles using the following methods. In all cases, the bold text should be replaced with the appropriate link or text you wish to insert.

:bulletblue: :devsynfull: -> `Synfull

:bulletblue: :iconsynfull: -> :iconsynfull: (Shows the user’s icon, but also links to their profile)

:bulletblue: <a href="http://www.facebook.com">Text link should be attached to</a> -> Text link should be attached to

This method can be used to link to a dA profiles, but should only really be used if you want custom text to appear instead of the deviant’s username. If just the username is required then you should use the :devusername: version shown above.

:bulletblue: <a href="http://synfull.deviantart.com">My profile</a> -> My profile.

Inserting images

The majority of methods including The Emote Legend, Thumb Codes and Plz Accounts are explained in the tutorial below. Whilst it focuses mainly on emotes, the latter 2 methods can be applied to normal images as well.

In addition, if you wish to link to an image off dA, or display dA images at in a large size, then you can use the following code:

:bulletblue: <img src="DirectLinkToImage" />

The ’DirectLinkToImage’ part should be replaced with the URL (web page address) of the image. However, you need to use the direct link to the image. The direct links will lead to a web page where the image is shown on a plain background. These links can be acquired by right clicking on the image and selecting 'copy image URL/Location/Address'. (Dependant on web browser).

:bulletblue: <img src="http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/ae198/syns-stuff/Avatars/63.png" />

Unfortunately the end result of this piece of code cannot be shown here as the code can’t be used in the artist comments or regular comments. However, you can see examples in this journal.

Displaying code

From time to time it is useful to display the actual code that you are typing and prevent deviantART from formatting. For example, each time I have explained how a code works above I have given a sample piece of code which normally would produce specified effects. This is much better than adding in spaces at it allows people to see exactly how something should look.

To stop a piece of code from formatting, simply place a complete set of HTML tags (e.g. <b></b>) somewhere inside the formatting. From a coding point of view, it breaks the code/tags up so dA does not register that one has actually been used. For example:

:bulletblue: <<u></u>b>Sample Text<<u></u>/b> -> <b>Sample Text</b>

:bulletblue: :<b></b>devsynfull: -> :devsynfull:

:bulletblue: :<b></b>iconsynfull: -> :iconsynfull:

Alternatively, in the cases where a colon is used (i.e. :dev: and :icon: links) you can replace one of the colons with the ASCII code for a colon &#58; When posted in a comment or journal it will appear as a colon, but won't cause the dev or icon links to be created.

:bulletblue: &#58;devsynfull: -> `Synfull

If I thump my Bible on a thick enough head, the Bible might break and I would have to buy a new one! Oh Noes!

In all seriousness, though, I guess the term came from mixing a Bible and a shouting person clapping his or her hands harshly to draw attention and silence opposition or the term is a result of mixing a Bible with the action of smacking a person over the head, but I daresay it's disrespectful to both the Bible and the person. Disrespectful to the person because it's going to hurt. Disrespectful to the Bible because it can get damaged if smacked against a thick enough skull.

Anyhow, I saw the term enough to make a joke out of it. Annoying as the term is, it's not a very good insult.

Feel free to put this stamp on your profile! And any of my other stamps as well! I'd like to know if you do, but you don't have to notify me. :3

By the way, comments disabled because there will be disrespectful youths around that I don't want to deal with. Well, this is the internet, which is populated by disrespectful youths. I highly doubt a majority of adults, or any reasonable and educated adult, would use arrogant tones and insults in all those comments I observe and take info from.

WHERE did sin come from? There is no "tidy formula", like the world may want. The Bible deals with the existence of evil in another way.
Evil is NOT a thing or a substance, but rather the privation of a good thing where good ought to be. God made everything good, and evil is the deprivation or corruption of good.
An example of this deprivation of good is the rot in a tree. "Rot" is not a thing, but the missing of good in the tree.
Evil is like a moth hole in a sweater. "Moth hole" is not a thing. The mothhole is the privation of the sweater. In itself the mothhole is "nothing"--not a thing.
They are in themselves good, but you take away the good and they have SOME good.
Therefore, nothing is pure evil--even Satan has some good in him. He is able to speak--it's just that his speech is a privation of some good.

A privation isn't the same as absence or lack.
The wall lacks sight--the wall was never meant to see. The blind man is deprived of sight--he's meant to have sight. It is not evil in him, but he is experiancing the evil in the world.
Evil in the heart is the deprivation of good in the heart.
To say that evil isn't a thing does not mean that evil does npt exist--the blind man really suffers and is really depraved.

WHO did it come from?
Did it come from God? No, it did NOT.
It came from those created in the umage of God: Man. Stan bought temptation to the world through man. We invited evil into the world by our free choice (no coercion) to do the first evil act.
The mouse wasn't forced to go to the mouse trap--deceived, yes, but not forced. It's true that when the trap sprung, that its head was forced off. But he was coerced tehre.
Man CHOSE disobediance. Isn't man a good creature of the good God?
Part of being created in His image is being given a free choice. While man is able to do some things, he isn't able to do everything. Man does what is contrary and good in his nature. But God is free in another sense and can not contradict his nature.

WHY do we have HOPE?
Because Jesus Christ suffered just like we did.
The cross of Jesus Christ paid for OUR sins--Christ was PERFECT and He paid for OUR sins! He was tempted just like we were! While He never had [every] specific sufferings of the world, His suffering "equals" that. He dealed with our sufferings through living with us. Christ has suffered FAR worse than we have: we deserved sufferings--we have sinned. He never deserved it and He still suffered through it. Hebrews 4 states that Christ has suffered just like us and NO Christian can say that they are alone in their sufferings.

Our High Priest suffered with us and was indicted at the cross. He's a merciful High Priest who understands us, but He also gave us each other. When we are comforted by another, itis so that we may go and [in turn] comfort another.

No religion or worldview has a neat, fully developed answers for why evil exists. Even the aethist can't because they have a problem defining evil. "I can't believe in Christianity, because God let evil exist." If that's the one reason, then where will you go?

Our God has not simply watched, but has experianced the same junk we go through and knows how we feel.
First of all, you're praying to a Savior who understands and can emphathize. He has also given us the church. When He comforts you, you can comfort someone else in turn. He experianced the worst injustice in history: He was vindicated, so we will be too one day. We have a garauntee--Jesus was ressurected. The world has hope; we have a PROMISE!
Ever wonder where sin came from? I'm sure at least some of you say that God created it. But He didn't. Read the deviation to learn some more.

You can also learn through books such as:
1) "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel
2) "The Universe Next Door" by James Sire
3) "Jesus Among Other Gods"
4) "But Don't All Religions Lead to God?" by Michael Greene
