Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Fandoms.I HAVE A LOT OF JUNK ON MY MIND but I wanted to talk about this one since it's been a reoccurring thing that happens more frequently that I like to admit. It's people that have an interest in something that ultimately gets crushed down by other people who pull the 'I'm a better fan than you are' spiel. I hate that, I absolutely hate that. Taking an interest in something is not a competition on 'who's dick is bigger' when it comes to who is the more hardcore fan.More Like This
A lot of people measure their commitment and stronger interest through merchandise or other means if they don't have the money. It can range from a collection to people just never shutting up about it (i.e. me lmao) but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. BOASTING about it is a bad thing, and it's extremely rude and careless. I don't understand people's motives on trying to show off or come off as champion fan since you gain nothing out of it than presenting yourself as a huge ass.
