Protect Me - Part 1
Korra peered at herself in the mirror, touching at the area that she knew that there was a fifty-fifty chance would be a bulging mass in just a few months. Swallowing nervously, she turned around and shook her head, trying to convince herself that it was not true.
That there wasn't the possibility that she was pregnant.
The idea had only just recently struck the Avatar after a month and a half of sudden, debilitating illness bouts. One second she would be fine, training away with the boys, and the next, she'd be rushing out of the gym to the bathroom. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I got up slowly and yawned.
"korra! Wake up! You're going to be late for work. Again! You don't want to get fired do you?" my mom yelled across our tiny apartment.
"okay, okay I'm going." I yelled back. I got dressed and went in for breakfast.

Sokka asked (again correcting himself from asking "don't you see?" and thinking that it could be so tricky to talk to Toph sometimes and avoid getting enclosed in rock), "they're laughing at a joke, and not just any joke, mind you, a joke Katara just told."
"OOhhhh, now I see what you mean," Toph replied, and sensing Sokka's surprise at her wording, she quickly added, "not literally, of course, but I get it."
They were both only too well aware of Katara's abilities (or lack thereof)
