Weekly feature LXIIIHere are some of the best pictures submitted to :iconBreathtaking-photos: this week and in the past days
Enjoy
Note: nobody know why the size of the thumbs is messed up lately... Pictures get either full-size or 300 pixels wide, and this is the best I can do at the moment   I apologize for the problem!

Features #2Another journal feature for the 6 most stunning photos in my collection! For every photo, I will feature the artist as well, and write what I appreciate the most about the artwork. It would be great if you fav those wonderful pieces, they were featured for a reason! So without further ado...

:iconpajunen:

I really love this photo because I am a huge fan of silhouettes and sunsets, I think they are one of the most beautiful and romantic time of the day. Also, the texture of the window makes the background really look surreal. And the dreamcatcher, man I have always wanted one! I just think they are wonderful little creations. So well done here, Tomi!

Heiko's wald collection is the best thing in his whole gallery, they are not just simple trees and leaves, he makes it seem like it was from a movie, and you could just picture yourself taking a wonderful walk in the early morni

Palouse Falls, WA.

I was able to get a shot of sunset the second evening we were there. The first night we had thunderstorm after thunderstorm which brought so much rain, we were experiencing leaks in our tent. As I took this shot, sat right next to the ledge for over an hour in order to get the moment that I wanted to catch. With my fear of heights, this was not easy!

I'm not going to lie. Like everyone else I enjoy a good sunset photo. With this one I just tried to replicate the true colours of what I saw. It was one of those moments where I had all the time in the world to capture it, and it was changing into something more amazing every second. HDR with 13 exposures 1 stop apart. P.S. always follow you histogram!

Yesterday morning I woke up at 3am and headed to Brainard Lake, Colorado to photograph the sunrise. It was absolutely invigorating and refreshing with temps at 40 degrees and the wind gusting hard over the Indian Peaks and across Brainard Lake. For a moment I had a reprieve from the gusts and got a somewhat clean wildflower shot with little movement in this 2 second exposure. It sure was gorgeous and the light just danced!

I want to emphasize something here to those of you who are just starting out with photography and want to get better. The biggest thing you can do is make the effort to shoot in good light & wake up at ungodly hours to get on location in time. There is something about photographing in fresh air with no noise pollution, no people and having some of the best light you can imagine. This is perhaps the easiest thing you can do to better your work and best of all it's 100% free! Can't beat that now can ya?

I never realized how darned cute and gentle looking these fellows looked until I started observing and photographing them.
With slow deliberate steps he sat there contentedly munching away on his willow bark.

Hi there, I'm back with new photos from an adventurous road trip through Norway. The photos are still in the selection and post-processing process. I'll post them in the coming weeks... until then, here is another one from the wild garlic season.

I got stranded at work and had to walk home in the bitter cold (19 degrees F), several miles, the final half having no lights at all.

My way was lit only by the dim light of a freezing moon. When I looked up through the trees, I saw a photo waiting to happen.

Also, due to my tight schedule, I can't individually thank everyone that has checked out the photos, but seriously, to have the DD pop up on my birthday with everyone loving it; that rocked.

You guys are awesome.
