Behind the reeds, near the river bank, Leda meets the disguised Zeus. Fascinated, she gazes down at the swan. Leda sits with flowers in her hair. She is made entirely from pages of the Zeus/Leda story. The swan's wings are made from individual feathers, sculpture together to give depth and texture. The waves of the water and reeds surround them.
Materials Whatman paper, rulers (cm), model knife, olfa cutting mat, many hours (practice, practice), ikea candle
(Heaven knows I wanted to enter the first part of the event so badly I even forgot about the deadline, oh my But since I was remembering quite the similar idea of riding big animals, this drawing really inspired me )
that's the reason why i just love this shit so much and i just knew it would be cool
as i saw this model for, well, meanwhile also over a year ago i just had to ask sanat49 for it and i'm very thankfull and proud that he spend his original mesh for a papercraft project the cool thing about this model is, that it's an entry for the pre-DominanceWar V competition, where i'm also a huge fan of what made this model, not the first Dominance War Papercraft, but the first downloadable (ironic hint to an other crafter ) and hopefully definetly not my last ... but that's up to the 3d designer
ok now, back to the model the last steps, where you have to combine all parts will be exhausting specially for the big shoulder armor pieces there is not many space for glue or failures so be patience test it out first where you can attach the pieces
also you have to put some weight into the rear leg or maybe both maybe you noticed also that i attach the model a bit displaced at the pedestal i had to do this because of the weight ratio it's a lot testing and trying so don't hurry
file description: the file contains as always three pdo files one with texture and folding lines one with texture and without folding lines and one white version with folding lines
so you need the Pepakura Viewer what you can get "here"
all three pdo's are not protected so if you have the Designer, you can edit the sheets in the way you want
the original texture is NOT included
model description: the model come on 27 pages with 290 pieces and is 30cm tall
the model is actually not hard but the mouth take a bit more work as i thought also the first three rings of the arms the skulls and bones of the pedestal are very small but it's up to you if you wanna build them i removed the lower site of the pedestal, it is too big for one page but just glue the whole thing at a blank sheet and you have the same effect
difficult level is about 7/10 if you have any trouble, feel free to ask me or/and take a look at the "building process gallery" where i explain how this and that is working
to download the model click on the download button on the right side you can thank dA for, that i can't write the direct link anymore
some words to the bloggers
because this is a collab, you have to give credits to sanat49 too! otherwise i can't allow it to write a blog entry
you have the permission to use my photos you DON'T have the permission to use his renders ore screenshot of it except he allow it
this model is a Deviantart only download so do not upload this model somewhere else and the most important thing

Until I hear from a DA Representative that I'm not allowed to be doing this I will continue to do it. Why does DeviantART have a Tab in the Base's category called 'Traced Base's' if I wasn't allowed to do this.. yeah think about that and bitch to someone else.
LOL no. I made this long ago, but I blame my procrastination for not posting it earlier. Also, I wish I'd have made it bigger or something... OTL Shading is fail. Male's body, too.

While honoring the beautiful shape and the color scheme (white dress with yellow detailing in the center of the corset) of the original dress, I modernized the look a bit by using heavier fabrics like satin, brocade, crushed satin, and embroidered lace, and by making the puffed sleeves slightly smaller. This dress was an excited project for me, not only because I made a dream come true for a dear friend, but because it was my very first commission!"
P.S - that tree in the top photos was covered in about 37,000 bees. But I really wanted it for the background, so I risked it (not that they cared about me when there were all those flowers). We do take time and effort to try and plan compositions/backgrounds for these. I love using natural outdoor lighting but it can be a pain to work with sometimes. (We also have indoor studio lighting that we set up, but honestly I still like outdoors )
