"i heard you. what happened?"
"studied. thought about sex. walked the dog. killed a spider."
"ah. boring-'fuck,' then?"
"i fucking killed a spider!"
"why's that so awful? its guts get in your eye or something?"
"dammit! no! i killed it! i should fucking die, too- levitical law says so. death is to be punished with death."
"you don't agree with that. besides, it is just a spider."
"no, it was just a spider."
"dammit it's- it wasn't 'just a spider.' it was real. alive. a body that moved. stopped moving so well when my book smashed it. i realised what i was doing and started to cry- cry, crush, cry, crush. i couldn't kill it and make it suffer. i'm fucking heartless but i just couldn't do that. mutilate it. send it back home on five legs to its lover. see if that lover still felt the same about it. instead i just took its lover away completely. fuck-

Drinking my blood to fight the hunger pains
Blinded in the dark with my blackened eyes
Says I'm looking so pretty, tonight, he lies
Dim light glinting off her reddened lips
Her paling flesh lined with festering rips
Ice blue eyes staring into mine
Suspended by the hooks forced through her spine
My fingers twitch and my eyesight blurs
He tells me that my screams sound 'just like hers'
The blood pools beneath me as I drift away
But he beats me and he breaks me and he makes me stay
Her hand holds mine like a dying child
She whispers, whispers, and she asks me why
I say 'you're so pretty when you cry'
Her tears turn silver in the fading light
He says he'll keep me with him till the last star dies
Says I'm looking pretty, tonight, he lies
'You can't keep me forever, can't keep me for long
If you just close your eyes, I swear I'll be gone'
Rebellion is Sweet and LightShe inhales, sharply, and the gas enters her lungs. This isn't the kind of thing she usually does, or at least that's what she tells herself, as she leans against the wall of the Starbucks bathroom and sounds are louder and more intense than they were before. Her head feels disconnected from her body, the room tilts as if she is watching herself from above. She looks in the mirror and her eyes glint, she sees a mischevous smile dance across her face as her pupils dilate, she smiles back. This isn't the kind of thing she usually does, she's not the girl to get high off of aerosol whipped cream cans in a Starbucks bathroom, but at this moment, she doesn't care. Somebody knocks on the door shooting panic through her limbs. She flushes the toilet, even though she hasn't used it, puts the can to her lips, sucks in until she tastes whipped cream. The second hit is better than the first. She leaves the bathroom and doesn't hold it open for the woman who had knocked, the woman opens it herselfMore Like This
