I had to draw traditional stuff so I drew marge and Lisa. I love them both dearly.
Lisa'a spikes took a little while though. They are not really even but I tried my best without drawing a circle for guidance.

"You wanted to see me, Sherri… Or is it Terri?"

"Bart Simpson! You can’t joke your way out of our date!"

"Oh yes, our date. First lets start with the romantic French tradition of stating our full names and then writing our first initials on our hands."

"That’s hilarious, Bart. Of course, I know your name. And, of course, you know mine. I love the way you say my name. Say it now, why don’t you."

"She… Ter… How about I give you a fun first date nickname instead? Let’s settle for ‘erri, just to be safe."

My Perler Lisa Simpson was very popular, so I decided to make her big brother as well. He's Bart Simpson; who the hell are you? Again, this is from Konami's 1991 arcade beat-'em-up.

There was a slight ironing mishap, but I don't think it's too noticeable.

If you remember the episode "One fish, two fish, blow fish" (or something) it is in season 2. When Homer is eating a blowfish with poisen in it and just had 24 houres to live? I just love that episode, so sweet and loving :aww:

Of course I had to make the end a bit different. So this is a "What if" drawing. So you guys know the storyline at the end in the episode, but in this end Homer is laying in bed and dies in the night after Homer`s last wish "Be intimit with Marge"

Marge hear Homer`s last heartbeating after 24 houres and lays of top of him, holding his hand when he dies. :(

Marge: "Goodbye my love. Say hi to daddy for me."

Made this on a Wacom Intous Bamboo tablet + photoshop cs4.

Lisa opens her eyes and turns around to her parents and sees the best gift ever, her first cat Snowball (1)! :w00t: It was the best birthdaygift she had ever got to just be 6 years old, she had wanted a cat since she was 4 years old. And now she had one! And soon a little babysister! This was her best year so far in her life :aww:

Smithers looked concerned when Burns finally got in. "You look like you've been through the ringer, sir..."
"It was that Samson kid again," he told him.
     "You mean Simpson, sir..."
     "Whatever."
"You got too close to the Psionic Zone again, didn't you? That's why they posted all those signs up around the enclave, sir."

I had originally just planned to do this as a sketch in my sketchpad, but it took on a life of its own. Burns is so fun to draw, little more than just skin stretched over bones. I found a picture from the show where Lisa had her top teeth showing, and thought it would look just a little diabolical. We rarely see this side of Lisa, but hey...a kid gets bored. Just don't walk too close to the zone...

“Say, what’s down there?”

Rose turned to face her husband. He was staring intently at a large door marked, ’LEVEL ONE ACCESS ONLY’, a small frown visible on his face.

“Hm. I don’t know, I’ve never been through here,” she pondered, striding over to him.

An impish grin played at the Doctor’s lips. “Well, no harm in finding out, I suppose! Allon—!”

Rose grabbed his arm. “Hold on!” she protested, “We need Level One clearance to get in there – even I can’t get something like that.”

He pursed his lips, his face the symbol of pure innocence. “So?”

“Well…” she said slowly, “It’s against the rules.”

The Doctor stopped dead. He gave her the look. The look that made entire armies turn around and run for their lives. The look that made Daleks tremble and even Cybermen feel true terror. He stood silently for a while as Rose held her breath, not sure of what to expect.

“… ‘Against the rules’?” he asked, never lowering his intense gaze.

She hesitated before answering. “…Yes…?”

“Rose Tyler. The one who erased an entire army of Daleks, and brought the dead back to life – says ‘It’s against the rules?!’”

“Well – ”

“Come on.”

Before she could protest, she was being whisked away through the Torchwood lobby. The Doctor firmly grasped her hand and took long strides. Rose nearly had to run just to keep up with him. They went through the technology and defense departments, past the alien pediatrics area (which the Doctor had insisted was a necessity, much to the disgruntlement of her boss’s boss), and finally to the entrance of the cafeteria.

“What are we doing here?” she asked once she had caught her breath.

The Doctor silently paced toward a small table near the cafeteria entranceway. Placed on the surface was a tray filled with an assortment of fruit and cheese sticks. A sign that stood among the treats read, ’Take One’, accompanied by a cartoon smiley face. He casually plucked two sticks from the pile.

He waved them in front of his face. “There. Now you try.”

Rose threw him a skeptical look. “Really? You’re really going to do this?”

The Doctor chewed on his cheese stick thoughtfully. “Well, you don’t necessarily have to do it. I mean… not if you’re scared.”

She folded her arms. “I may be quite a lot of things right now, but scared is certainly not one of them.”

“Oh, I see,” he said airily, eyeing the second snack through rimmed lids, “so you’re just a chicken.”

“Doctor, stop it—”

“Bwak! Bwak!” he taunted, popping a block of cheddar into his mouth.

Rose shoved the Doctor aside and snatched two sticks from the tray. She held them up as a warrior holds up the severed head of his latest kill.

“There. Will you leave it alone now?” she snapped.

“Ah, good morning, Will!” The Doctor was sauntering down the hallway, chasing after poor Will Hemmings. “Good day, good day! How’s the wife? Kids? Cat?”

Will turned around warily, his blue eyes watching the Doctor with caution. “Hello, Doctor. They’re fine, thanks.”

“Yes, brilliant! Good, good!” the half-time lord clasped his hands together. “Well, I’ve just been teaching the ol’ wifey here how to have some fun!”

Rose approached the two. “Doctor, what’re you up to?” she hissed.

“See what I mean?” the Doctor whispered to Will. “Could use a vacation or three, if you ask me.”

Will smiled shyly. He was a nice man, usually seen doing coffee runs for everyone in his office. “Er… right. Well, I’ve got some papers to sign, so…”

He gave a little wave and turned to leave. In one swift movement, the Doctor snatched something from Will’s waist and chucked it straight at Rose. She blinked and instinctively caught it in her hands. Rose looked down at the object, dumfounded. It was Will’s access card.

ROSE!” the Doctor exclaimed, appalled. “What have you done?!”

Will whirled around, gaping at Rose. She sputtered, unable to think of anything to say.

“My goodness!” the Doctor continued. “I told you to break the rules a little, but this is just extreme!

Suddenly, the Doctor was pushing Rose down the hall at lightning speed. He called out behind him, “Rose, unhand me this instant! Great Scott, I’ve created a monster! First the cheese sticks, and now this! She just can’t stop!”

Will stood frozen for a moment, completely taken aback. He then decided to take action. “SECURITY!

“I’m going to kill you!” Rose snarled, trying to wriggle out of her idiotic husband’s grasp.

“We’d better get going!” the Doctor cried excitedly. He gestured behind him where two armed guards were beginning to pursue them. He took Rose’s hand. “Run!”

The couple ran at top speed – past the alien pediatrics area, through the defense and technology departments, before skidding to a halt in front the door labeled, ‘LEVEL ONE ACCESS ONLY’. The Doctor quickly took Will’s access card from Rose and fed it into the scanner. The door opened with a friendly ding!

“So this was your plan all along?!” Rose exclaimed, following the Doctor inside.

“Yes! Well, no,” he replied. “Kind of – let’s keep moving, shall we?”

As they hurried through the restricted area, the Doctor found it disappointing that it was just a series of meeting room for the big wigs of Torchwood.

“So it wasn’t anything special after all…” he remarked sadly.

The sound of a door crashing to the ground made the Doctor and his wife jump. Rose turned around to see not only the guards and Will, but her boss as well: Selene Woodings. Even though Selene hadn’t been head of the foreign relations department for long, she ruled over it with an iron fist.

“What the bloody hell is going on here?” she demanded.

“Just taking a troll,” the Doctor explained cheerily. “We found this little section along the way – very cozy. We quite like it, actually.”

“You two,” Selene growled, narrowing her eyes. “I should’ve known you’d be behind all this.” She brushed a strand of red hair away from her face. “I’ve just had about enough of your antics! You’ll be damn sure that whatever remaining privileges you have left are revoked!”

“Er, sorry,” the Doctor said, tugging at one of his earlobes, “but not today I’m afraid.”

He grinned and took hold of Rose’s hand yet again. She felt herself being pulled into a pair of doors just behind them. Before anyone could react, the doors were closed, and the elevator was descending towards the ground floor.

“That is IT, Tyler!” she could hear her boss scream. “You are done here! You’re FIRED!”

The Doctor shot Rose a reassuring look. “Don’t worry about her. I’m sure Pete’ll  get you a job–”

“No,” she interrupted, “I think it’ll be nice to get away from here for a while. I forgot how much fun it is running away from danger with you.”

“Really?” he asked, a smile spreading across his face. “So you think you’re ready for a life of crime?”

She looped her fingers around his. “Yeah. But let’s just stick to stealing cheese sticks for now.”

The TARDIS door swung open with a Bam!

Rose Tyler and the Doctor hobbled inside, with the poor girl leaning heavily on the Doctor.

“Oi! Watch it!” Rose yelped as she nearly ran into one of the TARDIS pillars because of the Doctor’s stumble.

“Sorry! I’m not usually accountable for more than one person when walking!” He shouted in exasperation.

They finally reached the bench of the TARDIS and flopped down, clearly winded. They had just retreated from a strange alien planet, one that the Doctor was not completely familiar with. Apparently the inhabitants were hostile and they chased them all the way back to the TARDIS.

Unfortunately, on the way there, Rose was nearly caught by one of their unsightly alien pursuers, and took a hard fall. The good news is the Doctor was quick enough to heave her up and get back to the ship. The bad news is that Rose seemed to have been injured in all the commotion. Now she could barely walk and was limping horribly. So horribly it made the Doctor wince.

She sat on the bench in the TARDIS and examined her leg. “I don’t even know what happened!” She said angrily. “I was falling and—everything just happened so fast I just—”

“Hey… It’s okay!” The Doctor tried to calm her down. “No reason to panic anymore! We are safe inside the ol’ TARDIS!” He patted the console lovingly.

“I know…” She looked down at her leg. “I—I just don’t want to get injured on an alien planet, you know? There could be a disease, or a plaque, or a—”

“Stop right there, missy.” The Doctor put a hand over Rose’s mouth. “Your fine, the TARDIS will protect you.” He thought for a moment, dropping his hand. “I know what will make you feel better! Why not go and wash up in your room? Get all o’ that alien residue off you, and such.”

Rose nodded gravelly, standing up in a staggering position. She gently eased herself towards her room, leaning heavily on the railings and pillars. She stumbled a bit and let out a small cry.

“You alright? Want some help?” The Doctor said with a worried tone.

“No no! No, I’ll be alright… I’ll just be a while…” She said through gritted teeth.

“Um… Okie dokie…” The Doctor muttered as she hobbled out of the room. He immediately felt terrible for making her stagger all the way there, but it wasn’t as if he could go into the bathroom with her. No matter how badly he wanted to…

He quickly shook his head, shaking that thought out with it. He promised he would check out Rose’s injury as soon as she got back from cleaning up.

But that proved to be a longer time than usual.

He eventually found a book and began reading it idly, kicking his feet up on the console. It was a nice book, one that had been in a pile sitting out, waiting for him to read. It was about a beautiful planet he wanted to take Rose to. The clouds were always purple and the sun was always red, and it made the sky a bright vibrant shade of pink. She would love it, the Doctor thought wistfully. Maybe he could take her there one day and tell her—

No!

No. He wouldn’t… Too sudden, too soon.

The Doctor focused back on his book, scolding himself for thinking so foolishly. Had he learned nothing in his nine hundred years of life?

So the book enveloped him again. He was lost in it, like the science man he was, and somehow forgot about Rose. It had been quite a long time, and he hadn’t seen her. He set the book down and thought about going to check on her. But wouldn’t it be rude to step into her room? But is she okay?

While he was in decision mode, another book caught his eye. He picked it up and began to thumb through it, forgetting once again about his injured companion. More timed passed without the clueless Doctor noticing. He simply sat with his Converse clad feet stretched out in front of him.

Finally, much time later, Rose began walking out of the TARDIS corridor. The Doctor’s back was to her, so he couldn’t see that she was clearly upset. She hobbled towards him, put on a tougher face, and walked around to the front of the TARDIS bench.

But her straight faced entrance didn’t work out so well. “Doctor, I—Ah!” Just as the Doctor looked up from his book to see Rose approaching, her knees buckled out from under her and she went down like a rock. The Doctor threw his book, and managed to reach out just in time. He barely caught her by the elbows.

“Rose! Oh my—are you alright!?” He asked as he hauled her up to the bench next to him. He pulled her up in such a way so that her legs were situated on his lap. He thought of it in a ‘Doctor’s Examination’ matter, not realizing that it would be such an intimate position.

Rose winced so much it made the Doctor hurt. He was sure he saw tears building in her eyes.

“Oh…” She said through gritted teeth. “I’m… not quite sure…that I‘m alright…” She held back a sob. She stared at her leg, which was bent in a painful-looking position.

“Rose! I’m so sorry! I really should have seen it was more serious!”

“No, it’s fine… I just…” She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to endure the pain coming from her leg. “I just…”

But it was too much. She broke.

“Oh Doctor!” She cried, as tears started to roll down her face, which soon turned into a gushing downpour. “It just—it hurts so much! I want to go home! I want to go back home to my mum, where I’ll be safe and warm and I can heal! It’s just so scary, being out here, not knowing where I am, or what is so terribly wrong with me. I’m—I’m so far, out in space! I—I don’t know what—”

“Shhh.” The Doctor stopped Rose’s irrational babbling by setting a hand against her face, stroking it softly.

The Doctor was hit hard by this; seeing her so vulnerable and exposed. She was his strong Rose, his stable Rose, the very Rose that could help him through anything. It seemed as though all that standing up, staying brave, it finally caught up to her, and she simply couldn’t hold it all in.

“Shhh.” He soothed.

Rose instantly froze. “But—”

“No, no, no. There will be none of that,” He murmured. His soothing voice seemed to have frozen her in her tracks, as if she was suspended in time, unmoving.

“I know where you are…” He said gently. Rose didn’t speak, but she pleaded with her eyes.

“You’re in the TARDIS, safe and sound.” He said softly. He thought he had gotten through to her, but he saw the tears threatening to fall again.

He stroked her face in the most caring way possible. “My sweet, fallen Rose… You don’t have to go back home to your mother.” He leaned closer to her, pushing her blonde hair away from her eyes. “You couldn’t be in better hands. I do happen to be a Doctor you know…”

Her breath instantly caught in her chest. And that was exactly the reaction he wanted.

Instinctively, as if he didn’t know any better, he pushed a little closer and pressed his lips to her, while pulling her face to his. It wasn’t any grand kiss, merely a whisper of a touch against one another. It was bittersweet, both sad and wonderful. A lingering tear rolled down Rose’s cheek, and it slid down to where their lips met. The Doctor could taste the salty sorrow of it. After several lingering seconds, he pulled away. He didn’t particularly want to, but he was shocking himself by even this small show of affection. But he knew that this way, he was sure to convince his amazing Rose to stay with him.

As he opened his eyes, he dared not to laugh, simply because of Rose. Her eyes were the size of the moon, and her mouth was fallen agape. All thoughts of her injury were long forgotten. How rude it was of him, to use this method of manipulation to keep her with him.

But it was beneficial both ways, he thought slyly, still tasting Rose on his lips. It brought a tiny grin to his face.

“See?” He said, still in the calming, somewhat seductive voice, “No reason to go back home. I can take good care of you, right?”

Rose nodded numbly, her eyes still wide. The Doctor saw that she was still dazed, her eyes glazed over slightly in shock. He was pretty certain she still hadn’t remembered she was hurt. And it made him happy to see her so.

“Good…” He pulled his hands away from her face, trying not to smile like a madman. “Now let’s see about that leg.”

The Doctor sat in the kitchen, reading an old dusty book, while drinking a nice warm cup of tea. It wasn’t any particularly special book, but it was interesting just the same. It was an informational book about a very far off planet that the Doctor had visited once or twice.

He had just finished eating breakfast. He normally waited for Rose to come out so they could eat breakfast together, but she didn’t come out at the normal time. He just figured she was sleepy from the previous day’s adventures, or maybe she just wanted to take a long shower.

Either way, the TARDIS drifted peacefully across the solar system while the Doctor drank his tea. He became so wrapped up in his book; he hadn’t noticed how much time had passed. It was nearly the afternoon! He now became curious about the whereabouts of Miss Rose Tyler.

He set down his book and took off his glasses. He rose from the table and walked through the corridors of the TARDIS. He approached the door to Rose’s room, realizing he didn’t have an idea of what to do when he got there. He settled with leaning against the door frame and softly rapping on the door with his knuckle.

“Rose?”

The reply from inside was weak and scratchy. “Doctor?”

“Yes, it’s me.”

“You can come in…”

The Doctor carefully eased the door open. He hadn’t been in Rose’s room very many times, just a few instances; merely to check on her, or chat every once in a while when they were stuck on the TARDIS.

He didn’t see Rose immediately when he entered the room. All he saw was her bed with a big mass of blankets all jumbled up near the center. He walked cautiously towards the bed.

He cleared his throat and received no answer.

He cleared his throat again, and received silence.

He gently reached forward and pulled back the covers a bit. Just enough to reveal a sad and disheveled looking Rose. Her eyes were closed and she appeared almost asleep, but also very sickly. Her eyes were sunken in and she looked pale.

“Rose?”

“Ay…? Doctor?” She cracked one eye open to glance at him, and then closed it again.

“Rose, are you alright?” He asked, all the while knowing she clearly was not alright. He was very alarmed at the sight of her and wasn’t sure of what to do.

She squirmed in her bed. “Oh… Doctor… I am so sorry… I feel horrible…”

“Don’t be sorry, dear Rose. There’s nothing to be sorry about. I was just checking on you. What seems to be the matter?”

“Oh, I probably just have the flu or a stomach bug or something, nothing to fuss about. I just wish I didn’t feel so awful!” She rubbed her head. “I’m sorry; I can’t go on any wonderful space adventures today. Please don’t be angry with me.” She looked up at him sadly.

“It’s fine, Rose! I would never be angry over such a silly subject! I just want you to be well! Everyone needs a sick day every once in a while!” He smiled warmly.

“Yes… A sick day.” She looked away from him for a moment. “That reminds me. I was wondering if… you could take me back to my mum,” she winced, afraid of his response. “Just… until I get better…”

The Doctor’s smile fell. He looked very much put out. “But, why would you want to go home?”

“Well… my mum… she always makes me feel so much better when I’m sick. Fussing over me like I was still a little kid. Silly she is… silly...” Rose smiled half-heartedly.

“You know, we are very far away from earth…” The Doctor scratched his head, and quickly tried to find a reason to not take her back home. Not that he wouldn’t, he would take Rose just about anywhere in the time and space continuum if she asked. But that didn’t mean he would have to be excited about it. It didn’t make him very eager, thinking about returning his Rose to earth, and that frightening woman; Jackie.

He smiled. “Hey! Can’t take care of you!? I am a doctor after all!”

“Well…” Rose looked down at her bed sheets.

“I promise you’ll be better, Rose. Even a crazy space adventuress could use a day to recuperate! But it’s nothing the Doctor can’t handle!” The Doctor put on his most convincing face.

A few quiet moments later, Rose simply said, “Okay, I’ll stay.”

The Doctor’s two hearts leapt and bound, but he maintained a dependable demeanor. “That’s great to hear! Let us begin our sick day on the TARDIS!” He said, a bit too cheerfully. He stood in Rose’s room for a moment, before he remembered he didn’t exactly know how to take care of a sick human. But he would no doubt try his best.

“I know!” He snapped his fingers victoriously. “I’ll go make you a nice warm cup of tea! How about that!?”

Rose smiled weakly at him from her burrow in the blankets. “That would be wonderful, Doctor.”

The Doctor strolled happily out of her room, clearly pleased with himself that he convinced Rose to stay. He went to the kitchen and poured a hot cup of tea, whistling to himself. Then he walked back to Rose’s room.

When he approached the door he heard a horrible sound. It was painful to hear and uncomfortable to the ears. He opened the door and found that Rose was out of her bed.

“Rose?” He called to the empty bedroom. He walked in and heard the sound again. It came from Rose’s bathroom. It was horrendous, like someone was retching.

Wait…

The tea dropped to the ground with a Clang! and the Doctor sprinted into Rose’s bathroom. He found her seated next to the loo, hunched over it in a most uncomfortable-looking position. He ran to her side just as she arched and began to vomit again.

He gently drew her hair out of her face, gathering it delicately behind her head. He didn’t mind the vomit or the terrible noises, or even the smell; he only thought of Rose. He caressed the side of her head, taking care to hold her hair behind her ears. He instantly felt terrible for making her stay with him on the TARDIS, considering it lead to this.

Soon, Rose stopped vomiting. She stared into the toilet, breathing hard.

“Doctor, please! I don’t want you to see me like this.” She refused to look at him, still staring into the loo.

“See you like what?”

“You know! Sick!” She said, exasperated.

The Doctor looked down sadly at his fallen companion. “Oh, you’re still the same Rose. It’s not as though your skin turned magenta or you grew a third arm!”

She finally turned around to look at him, and he let her hair fall to frame her face once more. “Have you seen that before, Doctor?”

“Yes.”

Rose laughed. It wasn’t the same laugh, not as joyful and cheery. But for a sick Rose, it was pleasant just the same.

“So, does your stomach feel a bit better now?” The Doctor asked with the true curiosity of a doctor.

“Yes… sort of.” Rose said. “Thank you, by the way.” She gestured to her hair, as the doctor just nodded happily. He leaned against the doorway as Rose stood up and went to the sink. She washed her face and brushed her teeth as the Doctor kept her company. When she was finished she put her hands on either side of the sink and stared at herself disapprovingly in the mirror. It was as if she was angry with herself for being ill.

The Doctor stepped behind her and smiled into the mirror. “Well come on then! We’re having a sick day! We can’t spend it in the bathroom!” He took Rose’s hand and guided her back to the bed. She flopped down on top of the covers and looked at him in frustration.

“I don’t want to have a sick day.” She said like a child defying her mother. But it didn’t sound very defiant considering how much her voice cracked and faltered.

“Well, you don’t want to try to fight evil aliens while you’re vomiting either.”

“True… It’s just not fair to waste a whole day inside the TARDIS.”

“Well, it’s not so bad, wasting a day…” He looked away, thoughtfully rubbing the back of his neck, “As long as you’re in here with me.”

At this, Rose was thrown for a moment. But the Doctor didn’t skip a beat. He clapped his hands together.

“How about I finish that tea, like I promised?” He looked over at the spilt cup of tea on the floor. “It seems your vomiting distracted me.”

This received another weak laugh from Rose. He retrieved the teacup from the floor and went to get a new one. He came back and handed it to Rose, and put a rag over the tea on the floor.

Rose sipped on her cup of tea, while all cuddled up in her bed. She looked at the Doctor while he walked around her room.

“You know, you don’t have to stand the entire time.” She patted the large portion of bed next to her.

He ruffled his hair nervously. “Well, I don’t want to intrude—”

“Come sit!” She frowned at him in a way that was incredibly cute. Like the kind of expression that would make your heart skip. Well, both hearts, to be exact.

“Alright, alright!” He put his hands up in surrender. He came over and sat next to Rose on the bed.

The sat in silence for only a few seconds before Rose blurted, “See? It’s boring having sick days!”

“If it’s so boring, I might not be taking care of you right…”

“No Doctor! It’s not you! You’re doing a brilliant job!”

“Oh, phew…” He looked relieved.

Rose huddled into the covers like a small child. “I know what you could do! Do you know what my mum used to do when I was sick as a little child?”

The Doctor shook his head curiously, making his hair fall in his face.

“She used to tell me stories. Great stories. Real stories, fantasy stories; happy stories, sad stories. I bet you have fantastic stories, Doctor! Some good tales for the sick.”

“Well…”

“Please?” She stuck her lip out at him, making big puppy eyes.

“Oh fine!” He grumbled, flopping back on the covers near Rose. He settled with his head on Rose’s legs, and his hands folded over his stomach, staring at the ceiling. “So, you want me to tell you some riveting stories, eh?”

“Yes, please!” She smiled.

“Hm…” He fiddled with his hands and chewed his lip. He racked his brain for good stories to tell Rose.

He told her all about his exciting encounters with evil Time Lords and deranged alien kings. He even managed to tell her some brief stories from his life in Gallifrey. She was truly interested and listened intently to every word he said. It meant a lot to him that she cared so much about the things he had to tell. He loved telling her so much that he lost track of time. And he noticed that he didn’t even care.

After countless hours of wasting the day away, keeping each other wonderful company, a sound interrupted the Doctor. It was a high whirring sound, which they pair barely seemed to notice.

“Oh! Sorry!” He said to Rose, sitting up. “I just need to check something on the ol’ TARDIS.” He jerked his thumb towards the door. “You’ll be alright if I step out for a moment?”

“Oh yes! Fine!” Rose shot him a weak smile, that didn’t fool him. He stopped and looked at her sunken eyes and sad pale skin. It made his heart thump every time he was reminded of his responsibility for this innocent girl. It was his job to take care of her.

Rose eyed the Doctor, who stood motionless looking at her. “Really, Doctor, it’s quite alright.”

The Doctor blinked. “Yes. Yes! Quite alright,” he repeated as he walked out the door, and to the console. Once there, he found the correct panel the noise was coming from and opened it up. He stepped into the machinery that was his TARDIS, and got right to work. The problem was not as quick of a fix as he thought, for he got caught up in his work. He was there for much longer than he had predicted.

After some time, he finished, and climbed out of the apparatus. “Whew…” He said, clapping his hands together. “All better!”

Then it dawned on him that he must’ve forgotten something… Now what was it?

“Rose!”

He panicked running back towards her room, not even realizing how long he’d been gone. He eased open the door, and looked in, just to find her bed empty!

“Bloody sickness!” He shouted, bursting into the room, walking toward the privy. “It seems this only ever happens when I leave! Why can’t you ever actually feel sick when I’m in here so I can help? I can’t be a good caretaker if you only vomit when I’m not—Oh?” He stopped, shutting his mouth when he approached the bathroom.

Rose was indeed in there, but she was fast asleep. She was leaning against the bathtub, with her body facing the loo. Her head lay on her arm, and her arm lay along the rim of the tub. She looked like she was in much discomfort, but she had simply fallen asleep.

The Doctor ran a hand through his hair. He stepped forward quietly, peering into the toilet. It was clear as crystal. “Must’ve been a false alarm,” he whispered.

He gently knelt down, so he was right at Rose’s height. He smiled, watching her sleep peacefully. “Poor Rose, always wanting to go, go, go. Sometimes we just have to stop.”

She snored softly in response. The Doctor wound an arm around her back and under her legs, scooping her up of the floor. Her head lolled and her blonde hair fell downward. He went back to her bed and gently set her in it, drawing the covers over her.

He stood for a moment, wondering if it was proper to do what he was going to do next, but he didn’t care much. He bent down and kissed Rose’s hair, then quickly walked to the door.

His hand was on the door knob when Rose’s sleepy voice made him jump. “Wait… Doctor?”

“Yes?”

“Won’t you stay with me? Just for a bit?” The Doctor turned, realizing that Rose was so dazed; she was talking to him with her still eyes closed.

“Stay with you?”

“Mhmmm…” She mumbled, pulling the covers back sleepily. The Doctor knew he should leave… he should leave right now and say goodnight… But then again, what sort of caretaker would he be if he left his only patient?

He glanced around, as is someone would see him giving in to a weak and somewhat delirious Rose. But no one interjected. So he kicked off his red Converse and quietly slid into the bed. He did so as quietly as he could, considering she was half asleep. He didn’t get too close to Rose, for he felt presumptuous enough simply lying atop her bed. But he was close enough so he could feel the heat coming off her body. Her breathing was rhythmic and calming as she slept, and the blonde hair near her face fluttered with each exhale. The Doctor tried to focus less on how beautiful she looked while sleeping and more on sleeping himself.

The Doctor closed his eyes, and lay there for what seemed like an eternity. When he opened his eyes, he didn’t know how much time had passed, but he figured he should leave Rose to sleep placidly. He moved to stand up before Rose made him jump.

“Ey…” She muttered in her sleep.

The Doctor wasn’t quite sure if he was supposed to reply or not, considering she was only semiconscious, but his curiosity got the best of him. “Yes?” He whispered.

“Aren’t you going to kiss me goodnight, like mum?”

He was taken aback. If she was indeed serious, no matter how much of her conscience was still there, it was like a dream come true for the Doctor. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t shocked.

“You-you want me to… kiss you?”

“Mm hm…” She cuddled into her pillow, sleeping peacefully.

“Well… alright,” He concluded that this was merely for his quest in trying to be a better caretaker than Jackie. He pressed forward, almost close enough for his lips to meet Rose’s forehead. But milliseconds before he got there, she sprang to life, and reached up, making their lips meet full on.

The Doctor, clearly shocked, almost yelped. He was about to instinctively pull away, before he realized that he was actually kissing Rose. She smiled a tiny smile against his lips, amused at his reaction. The very second that his brain kicked in and he began to kiss her back, the sly little fox parted her lips, and slipped back into the covers, burying her head in her pillow.

The Doctor lay, dumbfounded.

Did that just—?

…Did she just—?

He sat up on the bed, looking at Rose, who was simply a jumble of blankets and blonde hair. He was still slightly astounded. A small grin spread across his face, as he realized what she had just done. He got up slowly, and made towards the door, but hesitated with his hand on the doorknob.

“Goodnight, my lovely Rose…”

<3 - The FP

Keep me up 'til the sun is high
'Til the birds start calling my name
I'm addicted and I don't know why
Guess I've always been this way

All these roads steer me wrong
But I still drive them all night long, all night long

All you young wild girls
You make a mess of me
Yeah, you young wild girls
You'll be the death of me, the death of me
All you young wild girls
No matter what you do
Yeah, you young wild girls
I'll always come back to you, come back to you

I get lost under these lights
I get lost in the words I say
Start believing my own lies
Like "Everything will be okay"
Oh, I still dream of simple life
Boy meets girl, makes her his wife
But love don't exist
When you live like this
That much I know, yes I know
