Tequila: "Remember Valkyrie; you're under the command of the United States Colonial Marines - The Corperation ain't in charge here. You're under my wing now, which means put simply, you'll be following my orders from here on out. I hope that won't be a problem?"
While Tequila hasn't worked alongside Synthetics much, she likes to make sure everyone knows where they stand. She's a tough gal! This is essientially Valkyrie, a synthetic unit with numerous technical and military skills, being introduced into Tequila's squad for preparation of a new assignment by the Weyland Yutani Corporation. Ironically, The Corporation, as Tequila puts it, is very much in charge here. For the most part at least.
I had planned on making this an extended little scene, and I hope to pick it up later on. For now however, I'll leave this here as an introduction.
This is a view of the city street - the same city as the one described in the image "Really Big Dozer". It is built on a series of enormous metal platforms, similar to an oil rig in its construction. This is the habitable part of the city. It is made almost entirely of metal and plastic, designed to withstand extremely harsh environmental conditions.
In this view, the city is empty. There is power, cars are still running, but all the people have mysteriously vanished.
The image is a 3D scene I rendered at high resolution and then made some minor adjustments in Photoshop, such as adding in a bit of rain...
It could really use a lot more detail, but time has a way of running out - so finished or not, here it is
All painted in Photoshop. Made it up as I went along. This image is a personal project, so doesn't belong to anyone else, i.e. a client. To buy the full license to this image would cost £40 ($65). It's a camera view of a Police depot, set in 2071. A defensive shield keeps hooligans in or out as needed.
firetruckboy came across a pic of a Navy SEAL on Google (here:25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_me3… around early December and sent me a note, challenging me to draw it. So i went 'challenge accepted!'
This was a nice way to practice and sharpen my skills, and i even learned a thing or two. The digital camo was tricky, since i literally had to draw each 'pixel' in the pattern lots of times to get it right.
This was pretty fun to do, and meaningful in a way too, since though this would be sort of a portrait, it appropriately doesn't show his face and identity.
Used 2H, 2B, 6B, and clay eraser
anyways, Merry Christmas!
UDPATE Can't believe how popular this has still been amongst all my artworks. Thank you all!
Just started out with a sketch. In this piece I was trying really hard to replicate the right amount and darkness of shading in a bright sunny day. I just guessed for the right shade of grey and painted in the shadows, then used my eraser at a low opacity on the shadow paint to give just the right thickness of shade on the soldier. I could've done better on the background but the main point was just to experiment with shading and have a slightly comic book look by leaving in the origional outlines.
So here it is my latest space scene. Ive been working on this piece for almost 2 months now and went through many stages until i reached the final piece you see here, the planet alone took about one month including the huge light spires, the city and the huge spage dock ejecting out of the planet.
i wanted to create something along the lines of my other piece Fractured Tranquility, in other words i wanted to create another original piece, something that hasnt been done before and im happy with what i came out with.
Using alot of new techniques i managed to create something epic and original and hopefully inspiring. So lets get onto what you can see, the main focal point is the large planet half of which is coated with a huge city with massive beams of light ejecting from the planet (these will be explaned later on in a journal as will the story behind the planet) also a moon which is being energised by one of these pillars of light so it can be given power. another sight is the huge space tower, a giant tower that stretches deep into space and is used as a docking station, living space, and everything else required for a small self contained country to function, around that can be seen several smaller towers from the cities.
So I hope you like this new piece and keep an eye out for the journal explaning the whole story behind this piece and keep an eye out for another montage piece showing of some of the more detailed areas of this piece.
Letting my inner speed demon out on this one. Hopefully Dodge engineers are working on something like this for the future.. fingers crossed.
A hovercraft high speed police interceptor.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit: Still wasn't quite happy with it after a day. Finally replaced the happy red with a more appropriate color for a futuristic police car. Plus a few more fun things here and there.
The rogue Russian general is cornered by the Secret Agent, just in time to stop the nukes...or is it?
This was my entry for the Secret Agent Challenge on cgsociety, it was a lot of fun. You can see some progress shots here
Edit: Wow thanks for the Daily Deviation!!! I really appreciate it. Thank you to everyone for visiting my site and commenting!
a note: For anyone a little insulted that the bad guys are "always the russians." This is a Cold War scenario, and the Cold War = USA and Russia. Whose to say that the Secret Agent himself isn't Russian?
This is a drawing of a cybernetic enhancements, namely a bionic arm with a built-in rotary rocket launcher. This illustration was published in one of the Chromebook supplements for RTG's Cyberpunk 2020 game. It is copyright and everything R. Talsorian Games, no infingement, etc.
This one took me a long-long time to get done. I started this sucker in october and then (thankfully) promptly got slammed with several professional gigs, which I hope to post samples of soon once the NDA is lifted on them.
This one was a challenge, its one of the largest pieces ive ever done and certainly one of the most dense. Im also generally pretty crappy with things like cars, so parts of this one came slowly. This work is one of four out of a series I plan to do, which will be mundane, everyday interractions between people in a futuristic bladerunnerish type megacity. Im not sure im going to do all of them back to back, but its tempting.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it!
All the best to you.
A few notes:

I have the privelege and honor of having others who are interested in my art ask me questions about it, so I thought id go ahead and post a few answers that im commonly asked when I post something new, hopefully some of you out there will find them useful:
1) *All* work is done in Photoshop 7, from sketch to finish, no other programs are used.
2) I dont mock up in 3D or use 3D programs
3) I sketch on a color background in dark value then add color, then I bring out the light sources
4) I use no references, swap files or tracing but I will glance at a few photos if I get stuck on a particular aspect or want historical/structural accuracy.
5) Most pieces take me 2 weeks to illustrate 6-8 hours a day, 6 days a week.
Thank you so much for your interest and for visiting my gallery, I appreciate your support.
Thanks so very much for the DD, it's a real privilege to get the appreciation for the work and all the wonderful compliments.

I remember getting a few requests for more specifics from people running Star Wars D20 games on my policy for fair use and such a while back. I think it's perfectly fine for anyone engaging is such activity to go ahead and include some of my designs as long as they don't claim ownership and aren't making money off them. Go on and have a good time, I say.
Also, the Diodorus-Class Deep Space Explorer detail placard will be showing up sometime in the next week or so.
I did wonder how the "Princess" look like if they are in human girl's form. So i just create this interesting picture (Maybe i put too many imagination on them , but these girls are gorgeous, huh? :"I )
And i find that this is totally out of my usual style range. 030
