The hot sun was on my face as I brushed my hair on the huge balcony that we had outside our living room area. The capitol people were parading around below us celebrating a new hunger games, to bad Cato wasn't here... Just as that thought went in my head someone tickled me and I yelped ready to hit whoever ambushed me. Cato's sweet eyes met mine though and laughed. "Little Clover a bit ticklish?" He already knew I could probably die of laughter being tickled in the arena.
"Oh shut up, at least I'm not to tall to fit on my bed." I sneered and Cato rolled his eyes, last year the tribute from 2 was smaller than Cato so they needed to bring in a bigger bed unless he wanted his legs hanging over the edge.
"What are all the freaks doing?" He had on his training outfit and his hair was wet and doughty spikey.
"Don't know, parading I think..." my mind wandered as my long fingers raked my dark locks into a high ponytail that I then put into multiple little bulbs of hair cascading down

I get out of bed, and jump into the shower, just like yesterday. This time I get it the perfect heat at first try.
I strip on jeans, just like the one I wore yesterday and a blue blouse.
When I enter the dining room, I find Peeta sitting alone.
"Where is Effie?" I ask.
"I don't know, she left suddenly," he explains.
"That's peculiar," I comment.
"Did you just say peculiar?" he asks.
"Is there something wrong about that?" I wonder.
"No, it's just a long time since I've heard someone say it."
I grab a plate and fill it with cereal and milk and head to the table, but this time I don't spill everything on the carpet. Peeta looks at me, smiling.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask.
"Do you sing as good as your sister?" he asks.
"I don't think so, I never sing," I explain.
"Oh," he looks down. The way he's been looking at me with pity, like he was disappointed it was me and not someone else whom was reaped.
Nightlock - A Foxface Fan-Fic - Chapter 1Hello, my name's Tiff, short for Tiffany. But anyway, you might know me better as Foxface. Most people's nickname for me is Vixen, but in the arena I heard the fire girl call me Foxface. I guess it comes from my ability to creep around, and to be sly and cunning ... just like a fox.More Like This
Anyway, I want to tell you my side of the story. How I, you know, died. I'll start at the beginning; after all I can remember all the events in the past few weeks that lead up to me being here now...
I woke with that dreadful feeling that I know all the others between the ages of 12 and 18 will be feeling. Today is the reaping. I'm 15, so my name should be in the giant glass ball four times, but I know it's in there far more times than that. You see, I had to take tesserae this year. Both my parents lost their jobs when several of the power plants closed. They didn't want me to take tesserae but I had no other choice. So, the odds defiantly aren't in my favour this year, my name being in there so man

My knee wouldn't stop jerking up and down. I sat on the plush, velvet sofa in the District 2 Justice Building, breathing deeply and trying to remember what had just happened.
You got reaped. No one volunteered for you. Then Cato volunteered. To save you. Cato volunteered to save you.
I buried my head in my hands and tried to stop my heart from beating out of my chest. The Peacekeeper who was guarding me glanced over and nodded his head towards the glass of water on the desk. I got up and walked over on wobbly legs to it. The glass was clear and intricately carved with tiny flowers, unlike our cloudy cups at home. It clinked against my teeth because I was struggling to keep my hands from shaking.
In the room next door, I could hear Cato's family talking with him. No doubt Eliza would be crying. She was such a softie when it came to her boys. Darian would be thrilled. He'd been egging Cato on to volunteer since he was fourteen; sure that Cato could become the next Finnick Odair and
Clove gets it Thresh picked up Clove by her foot. He slammed her hard on the ground, she groaned in agony as the force sent jolts of pain through her back. He looked down at her as Katniss watched the whole thing from the side.More Like This
"You kill her?!" he yelled, making Clove cringe, before she could respond he raised the rock above his head.
"No! Cato!" she yelled back, but now at this moment she was helpless. Thresh had the upper hand and being the only one else there, Katniss was most certainly not going to try and stop him. Thresh stepped closer to Clove and as he prepared to strike.
"Are you scared?" he said without yelling. Clove looked at him confused, but hopefully he started to feel a bit mercy for her.
"Yes" she said crossing her fingers.
"Well you shouldn't be... because you're on Scare Tactics" he put down the rock as camera crews appeared from behind the cornucopia and from the out rim of the bushes.
"Oh my God" Clove said putting her hands to her face, flushed red with embarrassmen
Clove's Song for Cato (Sally's Song edited)Hey I just woke up today & had Sally's Song from "Nightmare before christmas" in my head & suddenly edited it into a Clato version So here it is:More Like This
I sense there's something in this arena,
It feels like our unfortunate end,
And though I'll have to kill him,
Can't shake the bonding of us,
The worst is that I feel too much,
I can't ignore my feelings for him,
Will he ever see how much he means to me?
I think we're star-crossed, aren't we?
What will become of my dear ally?
How will he choose when it comes down to me?
Will he do what he can do the best?
Or will he throw the sword away?
It's stupit but I still hope
And will we ever, get out together? Ohhhh
And will we ever, get out together?
My head get slashed,
Cato, I'm so sorry
But please never.....forget me

Maybe I will sing my Clato version one day What do you think about it?

Cato at the age of twelve was 4 inches taller than me, he had his straight ashy blond hair, his sparkling blue eyes, a mole on the upper left side of his mouth, and he was pretty fit. He was dressed in the school school uniform and he was walking toward me.
The teachers just told us to partner up with a girl or boy so that we may learn how to dance. While Cato was walking over to me Daisy suddenly hugged him and said in her high stupid voice "Cato will you pretty please be my partner?" Cato then looked down at her and said "No."
She held on to him tighter and yelled "Please Cato pprrreeeetttyyy please?? For me?" Cato then looked down again, and said "No! Get off me!!!" he then proceeded to push her off him. I got to admit that I did smirk when Daisy fell on her butt with a thud while yelling "No!! Cato come back to me!!"

Katniss stumbles blindly behind me, the only thought in her mind to save herself. They're mutations, the creatures that are following us. There's no doubt about it. No normal animal can jump that high and can the stand on its legs like a normal human.
I lie on the side of the Cornucopia, gasping to catch my breath as I gag over the edge. I cough out, "Can they climb it?" None of them answer. A blonde mutt with silky hair takes a start and jumps onto the horn. It stays there for a while. Katniss lets out a shriek and fires into its throat. The mutt twitches and flops onto the ground with a thud. The other two tributes talk for a while, but I can't make out what they're saying. I hear Lover Boy cry out. A mutt's got him on the leg. Then I grab him once he's regained his balance.
I laugh. "Shoot me and he goes down with me." One of the last two arrows Katniss has is directed straight at my head. It's the only place the

The girl from District Five interrupts my plan of catching Katniss. She runs straight for the green pack and bolts into the woods. Katniss seems to be as stunned as I am, but she runs none the less. I throw a knife at her. It skids right off her forehead, leaving a huge, bleeding wound. She tries to shoot me, but I dodge the blow and it hits my left arm. Fortunately, my right hand is the one I can throw with. I pick the arrow off and drop it on the floor, still running. I run towards the other girl at full speed. Once I'm close enough, I lounge myself at her, and we topple over. "Where's your boyfriend, District 12? Still hanging on?" I smile cruelly.
The girl answers, "He's out there now. Hunting Cato." Then she starts to call Lover Boy's name. "Peeta!" I slam my elbow against her windpipe, cutting her off. For a moment, I believe her, and my head swings from side to side, looking for her fellow District partner.

"Yeah." Looks away.
"What are you doing out in this weather alone?" She shrugs her shoulders. "What is it?"
"I think it's something. Are you sure you're okay?"
... "No. Why do you care anyway? You don't even know me." Eyes downcast.
"Because I'm worried about you. It doesn't matter if I know you. You're obviously upset about something. I don't want you to do anything stupid. No one so young should throw their life away."
Quarter Quell: The TrainDad comes to say goodbye, and bursts straight into tears. It's a bit depressing that he is the only person there for me, while Brainless Bully has at least half a dozen of his idiotic buddies wishing him luck. I don't really have any friends. I should be more upset, but I can't seem to cry. Whether it's survival instinct kicking in (I do not want to seem weak) or my burning anger at the general population made them dry up, I don't know. It could be anything, but at the end of the day, my eyes are still dry.More Like This

I shuffle up the steps, barely hiding my confusion and anger. My heart pounds, and my head spins. She can't have called me, the name she just called can't be mine. I'm fourteen. Fourteen! What did I do to get voted into the Quarter Quell?
I mentally shove this thought away. I know why. I can't follow rules. I drive people nuts.
"And for the boys, a landslide vote on this one, Xavier Burke!"
A landslide. I get why. Strapping, muscular, handsome, he has the ideal Hunger Games physical qualities that people generally lack in District Eleven. That people like me lack. He's practically a Career with all the fights he gets into.
He's also the biggest jackass I know, so if you didn't think that he had a chance to win, there a more than enough people with a personal vendetta against him who probably voted for him.
A landslide vote. And yet it's a single vote that's damning me. The notion should mean something good, that not too many people voted for me. But somehow, it's worse kn
