“Sometimes we lay aside our own troubles when we wipe away another's tears.”
Is no longer alone
his life is not easy; a winding, sometimes whimsical, sometimes tragic journey that ultimately finds terminus in the same common destination for each of us. No matter the brave, fierce constructs we build and serve that would have us believe we are each one of us all alone as we make this journey, we make our way toward the end of all things side-by-side in our community of the living each day defying death. Our paths may be wildly divergent—the way of the hungry and impoverished traveling the same timeline with the grotesquely indulgent, the very best of us side-by-side with the most evil of us; but all hea

The parking lot Francis turned into was full of cars. Apparently this Old Rome place was very popular. To you, the building itself seemed to resemble the Olive Garden buildings. Tan stones, tiled roof, lovely flowers and Italian music made it enchanting and have it a thoroughly Italian feeling. The setting sun threw an orange and pink color across the sidewalk as you headed toward the door.
You came to a stop behind the line of people but Francis took hold of you arm and little pulled you forward, past the line and into the building. "What are you doing?" you asked, shifting nervously under the glares of the people in line.
"I have some connections here," he said smugly as he pushed open the doors.
"Connections?" you were discovering that it was very much like Francis to have connections, especially in the food industry.
"Friends really. There's a very thin line that can be traced between my family and his. Somewhere very, very far back in our family trees we have the same ancestors."

You stared up at the dark gray sky. It was snowing. Not hard, actually it was very gentle, and the ground was covered in a very thin layer. Snow was beautiful. It broke the monotony of the forest colors. But, it could also easily be dangerous. Diseases, frozen water, blizzards, avalanches, the lack of green and fewer animals, and even just the cold, could not only hurt you, but easily kill you. That's why your people stayed safely bunkered down in the winter.
Both you and Alfred seemed extremely happy that you had snatched those winter clothes. The ones that you had been wearing that belonged to your brother were warm, but not enough for winter. Alfred's clothes were torn, so even if they weren't thin, summer clothing, they wouldn't have been sufficient. If you had not snatched the clothing from Devil (who wouldn't be needing them anymore anyway), you would probably die from the cold. You tried to focus on that silver lining instead of the high possibility of your de

Heracles cursed loudly at his new owner as he was roughly escorted down the street. Few people even spared him a glance; this sort of thing wasn't all that unusual, and not really worth any extra thoughts or anyone's attention.
Heracles was very displeased with the latest turn of events. He had a few bruises already due to his captors being unwilling to bring him somewhat peacefully, but what he really hated was the likelihood that he would never see _____ again. She had given his life some sort of purpose, and originally he thought that all he really felt toward her was gratitude and friendship. But once Marcus had come and separated him from her -likely forever- he realized that he actually loved her. Whether or not she returned those feelings was something he would never know, not with the future he faced. And that was truly the first regret he ever had.
The gate to Marcus' villa opened slowly, and Heracles stopped. A feeling of fear was beginning to creep up. He knew how much Marcu

You groaned slightly and turned to face the plump woman, instantly missing the feeling of Heracles arms around you waist. At least his warmth still lingered on your skin and your clothes as a reminder that it had not, in fact, been a dream at all. Unfortunately the stuttering woman standing at the entrance to the villa was as real as what had just occurred. You knew that even now, as she stood there with her mouth opening and closing like a dying fish, she was making plans to deal with you and Heracles. Your stepmother wasn't always the sharpest of women, but she was expert at dealing with "situations" such as this one. Deep down within you you felt worry begin to bubble. You tried to push it back down, but the problem was you knew that there was apt reason to worry.
"I... Er... I'll leave you alone," was all the woman managed to say before she turned and practically lept down the stairs. Your brows furrowed and you glanced up at Heracles. He was watching the doorway, also

Morning in Rome. The sun was up high in the sky, already approaching the heist point of its arc. It would only be a short amount of time before afternoon arrived. The sun's slightly slanted rays cast long dark shadows over the busy alleys beside your villa. The main street buzzed with activity as peddlers peddled their goods, servants and freemen haggled for food and products while important or rich people passed above in their litters. All in all it was a normal day in the busy city of Rome.
Currently you were enjoying some private time on the roof of your villa. Several years ago, the roof had been converted to a sort of balcony by your father. It wasn't used too much, so the plants that survived grew wildly. Vines crawled across the floor and over the small wall surrounding the platform. There were flowers he and there, but the suns heat caused most of them to wilt quickly.
You plucked off one of the healthier looking blooms and took a deep sniff. It smelled nice. It wa
Baking Troubles, GermanyxReader You hummed to yourself as you swirled a wooden spoon through the batter you had spent a while actually creating. Holding the bowl that contained this batter, you walked around the kitchen in attempt to keep yourself busy. Your bare feet padded across the floor as you continued to stir, letting your mind wander as the stirring of this batter began to become something of routine.More Like This
You were awake at a ridiculous hour, knowing that you should be sleeping, but unable to. You couldn’t help but to have let your mind wander to other things as you had laid there in bed, unable to go back to sleep. Out of all these things that ran through your mind, you found that what stuck the most to your conscious thought was a new way to fix snickerdoodles, and it seemed that this new possible recipe refused to let itself stay dormant until morning came around. So here you were, slowly mixing the batter.
You would have been humming to yourself, but you were try
