My first large piece of digital art using only the paintbrush and smudge tool (no stock images). It took ages to finish but I'm happy with the result and am particularly pleased with how the clouds turned out. I hope you like it.
Here's your random reassurement that Ravi is not dead! Yaay! I've been working for quite a while, thought my fingers got stiff, so I animated this piece. And guess what? Seems like I'm quite in shape, so tomorrow I'm back to animating your commissions (and hopefully taking more of them shortly, yaay!).
Now, who is Mora? What is that furry thing she's holding? Mora is one of the main characters from the book I'm writing. I've come up with her one night, writing another bloody scene with Eriu. Why? Easy. Comedy. Mora is laugh, Mora is innocence, Mora will help the plot move forward, giving me an opportunity to explain things to the potential reader. Now, she's holding a R.O.U.S. thingy, for which I did not get a name yet. Donno if I will, maybe it was just an idea for an animation that I'm gonna abandon once it will come to writing it.
ANYWAY, you probably want to know the mechanics. Done with Adobe Photoshop CS6, no idea how much time I have spent on this one, but it's got 186 frames (mind you, that's the longest animation I posted on dA, so I consider it my personal record). That's almost 15 seconds. WHOA, right?
Note: It was originally posted on Youtube ([link]) as a gift for a friend before.
Since the original was using a copyrighted music, I commissioned Daniel James (from HybridTwo) a track for this so I can post it here in DA as a film.
In this newer version, I decided to add/improve a few things. They're not so noticeable, but I feel much more contented with them. There are those that are left unedited, but I feel like it's best to leave it that way.
Artist Comment: Thank you everyone for liking it! Especially the viewers in Youtube for giving it a million views; People here in DA for giving my pageviews a boost; (And making fanarts too!) And people in Newground for supporting me to remove stolen posts. Thank you very much!
I also want to thank `InpuUpUaut for approaching and inviting me to post this video here in DA.
And lastly, of course, a friend back then for giving me the inspiration and push to finish my very first complete animation.
Update: (12/18/2009) Thank you again, `InpuUpUaut, for having this animation in DD! And to those who suggested this to be in DD. Thank you all!
4 BLOODY HOURS THIS TOOK!!!! Man was I tired, in the video you can see what time I was drawing at. I think this picture is much better that my Joker Vs. Robin drawing. I was very surprised with the way this turned out, I couldn't wait to upload it.
Well anyways this is an artwork featuring Sasuke from Naruto, one of my favourite characters. It took about 4 hours and 30 minutes. And I'm still having problems with the lineart, I'm trying to work on my steadiness so that I can draw straighter lines.
If you like the drawing please leave a comment and watch my deviant art page
and you can check out the Drawing Video on my YouTube channel: link to video--------------> [link]
Hey guys this one took a little bit over 2 hours. I was really happy with the way it came out 1. because i've never drawn sakura before and 2. because i don't usually draw girls. And i know it doesn't look exactly like the anime/manga sakura, but thats because its my version. Theres still things i'm trying to work on like the outlining of characters and stuff like that
If you like the Video plz leave a comment and subscribe to my deviant art page or my youtube page!!! [link]
So this is a drawing that I was kind of hesitant to do at first. My good friend whom I was dating at this time has wanted to get a picture of a Phoenix as a tattoo since before I met him. It's in memory of his best friend, who passed away when he was in high school and loved the mythology of Phoenixes. I really did not feel like it was my place to even offer to draw it when he first told me, because it was a friend I had never met and I just felt like I should stay out of it. But in the two years we'd been dating he was never able to find a picture he actually liked, and had a very specific image in his head. So I finally said I'd give it a shot. Plus, if he had someone else draw it and the bird anatomy was too off... it would have bothered me for life So here is my take on a black & blue Phoenix. It is exactly what he wanted, by the way He is going to get it tattooed on his calf.
Please Read : I would like to ask anyone who stops by this page to please not use this for their own tattoo. I am aware that I can't stop anyone, but I am asking out of respect for Nick, who as I have said, wanted this to be customized specifically in memory of his friend. You can use any of my other drawings (please show me if you do, I'd love to see and share!), you can commission me to draw something similar, but please don't use this. Let it be unique to him
Update : Here is the work in progress of the tattoo. Unfortunately it is very low resolution so it's hard to see, but it's looking nearly identical to the drawing. He's planning to get it finished in a few weeks. [link]
This is for a shop owner on Gaia who's running one of two active Pirate shops. This has caused no small amount of controversy given that people can be very territorial on gaia, and allowing for fantasy species automaticly causes some overlap, though I've been involved in both shops and consider them quite separate, much the way Kitsusagi Mountain and Realm of Kitsusagi are both different shops.
This is the captain of the current Pirate ship, Aiden McCallahan, a half dragon.
He's supposed to have scars from trying to get rid of some of his scales, but my artistic excuse is that this is before that....or something. Yeah.
This is my favorite setting from the Catwoman photoshoot I did with Bryan Humphrey! After shooting outside for a couple of hours we moved to inside this decrepit warehouse space. I have no clue how Bryan lit this space but it really looks like a comic book to me. Also, full-body shot of the costume! Wish my boot straps weren't slipping down
How I made this: This costume was made in 50 hours, but only takes 5 minutes to put on lol. To match the hexagon fabric in the video game, I had the pattern designed by my friend Jinyo and printed up at Fabric On Demand. The secondary fabric is a rubber coated spandex. Cathy of saved me hours of work by graciously letting me base my bodysuit off of the pattern she had made already for this same costume for a customer. I had to redesign most pieces of the pattern to fit my bodyshape and height, but it was nice to not have to make a full mock-up from scratch, and with my tight work schedule, I appreciated every second of time saved. I sewed the costume entirely myself, as usual, making sure to triple-stitch the seams (100+ of them) and also top stitch all of them. I also made the matching accessories such as gloves/hood/ears/sculpted metal bits/altered boots etc. I re-used the goggles from my other Catwoman costume because I kind of hate the design of the Arkham City goggles, and I already made perfectly usable Catwoman goggles before.
