So today I re-watched "Out of the Past",episode 109 of LOK and then episode 308, "The Puppetmaster" of ATLA, seems to just be that sort of day for crazed maniacs in the Avatar world for me. And it got me thinking about what bloodbending can do on both ends of the spectrum.
First there's the bad side which we've seen a lot about in the show, both seasons:
Horrific Potential:
Can control people against their will, indicating that in a world that is not Y7 like the Avatar universe it could be used for murder(attempted murder was shown in the show by Hama in ATLA-308), forced suicide, burglary, espionage, and rape.
Can permanently remove bending, removing any chance of the attacked person to further defend themselves from future attacks.
